That ridiculous. My husband works usps. They work holidays at the processing plant. Many volunteer so others with little kids can stay home. Cast members know when they take the job it’s entertainment. We have gone during holidays. Many go to the church service near by before going to the park. It makes for a great holiday memory. I worked in a bakery I knew I had to be there on holidays for the hours open for thanksgiving, Easter, and so on.
Or, here’s a thought, bring back the staffing levels to what they were pre- pandemic. I’m nearly certain the reservations system was put in place to figure out how to run with the least amount of staff.
Some of us now what we sign up for. Why? Because we are adults and also have grown up billls to worry about. My family lives out of state and will down for Christmas this year. We just do Christmas after I get off work.
People love speaking for others way too much these days. I don’t need ANYONE fighting for me to get holidays off.
Worry about YOUR OWN lives and let others make their own decisions. I love working the holidays. There are tons of businesses open on holidays. It’s called adult life.
Just another little snowflake . . . boo hoo. I suppose these snowflakes think we should celebrate all holidays and then of course we’d never work. When Festivus actually becomes a holiday for some – the madness needs to stop. there ARE major holidays in this country stick to them.
Sure….let’s close all forms of entertainment. While we’re at it, close all restaurants, and include all retail stores and gas stations. All news networks should shut down (actually no one would miss them). Just a bit of a ridiculous suggestion. Don’t you think?
Here’s an idea…about 3-6 months ahead of time, have cast members put in their preference so IF possible, those that love the extra pay and simply celebrate around working a holiday can look forward to it. Those that prefer to have off can rotate years or however the business demands. I believe the cast members should be the ONLY people with a say in this with solutions that keep business happening but also cast members happy. They have dealt with a totally inept CEO thru the worst situation and are still there?!? Reward them with GRATITUDE!
While I am not attending Disney Parks for a long-time unless things start changing, I still find this religious nut to be the Grinch. Here is the deal. Not everyone celebrates the same holidays. If Disney closed the parks for the holidays, then they would need to close basically November to end of January to cover all the various holidays that occur during that time frame.
Haha you snowflakes. You just want to be served during your holidays. Who cares about these workers beneath you as long as you all get yours. Just like a bunch of entitled jerks.
The people that make these types of suggestions are young stupid kids. That don’t really go to disneyland and don’t know what it is to work at disneyland. We all have a choice to work where we want to work.
Once again some folks assume everyone celebrates the same way or the same holiday. If you don’t want to go, don’t! I used to love working at my tourist destination at Thanksgiving. I received high pay as I wanted to work so others didn’t have to and they supplied a lovely meal. Now I get less pay and no feast, sitting home alone. Thanks a lot. I hope Disney stays open but helps their staff with how they want to spend the day.
