As a scare actor who has been doing it since the 90s, don’t do this! That actor was 100% wrong and should be fired and prosecuted.

It says on a service animal’s vest IN NOTICEABLY BRIGHT COLOR to not distract/interact with the dog. The scare actor who did this, with a chainsaw no less!, is completely ignorant of any simple rules and completely SELFISH to behave like this.

Agree the scare actor had zero business messing with the service dog at all. My kids love dogs and love to pet dogs they see. But even they know that a dog with a vest is an actively working dog and cannot be touched or interacted with. Service dogs and police dogs are working dogs first and not pets! This is something we need to re-educate people on.

Thanks for all the comments supporting the service dog handler. I came here expecting a barrage of “Why were you at a Halloween event with a service dog?” nonsense. Y’all have restored (some of) my faith in decent human behavior!

Guess low-lifes can be found as scare actors.
