I love using mousedining.com. Been able to secure several places I wasn’t initially able to get, including character meals. You get an email when an available reservation opens, or for a small monthly fee, a text message. If you’re quick enough and lucky enough, you can secure it.

So let me get this right. You made a reservation and secured it with your Credit Card and agreed to them charging your card for a fee if you don’t show up. That sounds like a contract to me. Therefore, you have legal recourse against Disney to honor their end of the contract as well. If they don’t then you have grounds to sue for damages incurred with their breaking of the contract. Maybe people should start doing this as I can see a cottage industry growing from this. Maybe if enough people do this then Disney will wake up, I doubt it but maybe. Since people won’t just stop going there needs to be another way to stop the insanity at the Disney Company headquarters and this is one that we could use.

The problem with your legal advice is that the damages incurred from not eating at a particular restaurant are zero. So the woman would get nothing from her lawsuit.

Many times when you call about a reservation you are talking to an outside contractor, not a CM. I would try again and ask for red a supervisor. Make a back up reservation noting the anniversary but check with the hotel concierge and Guest Services upon arrival if not resolved beforehand.

They are liars if they actually had the confirmation Disney will fix it.

I worked at Be Our Guest over this past summer and if you had a confirmation email, we were allowed to manually enter your name down for a reservation and put your confirmation number in the reservation notes, so whoever was assigning tables at the time knew that you had a legit reservation, but we could just not find it in our system. Makes me wonder if the CM didn’t know about this workaround.

We were at disney couple weeks ago.
My sister has a DAS and so reserves a place in the queue.
Our DAS and dining reservations kept disappearing each time the moment would would be able to check in.
We ended up making screenshots the whole day, just so CMs would let us through to our attraction our dining reservation…

Genie+ once gave me five diner reservations. Guest relations claimed I made those reservations. I never did. Genie+ most of taking away other peoples reservations.

My husband made reservations for my first time to Disney AND my birthday on 10/02 in Belle’s Castle. My husband ordered a cake and screenshot the confirmation. The time came and no cake, but I did receive a small plate of icing in the shape of MM logo. My husband and the waitress go back and forth, he shows her the confirmation, and she insists they never got such order. When bringing my “icing dessert”, said waitress tells me she won’t sing or dance to “embarrass me” then leans in and says she just doesn’t feel like it since she simply ran out of energy from the morning.. our reservations were at 2pm! I caught her yawning several times and was told “ you didn’t see that. Don’t say you saw that”. For my first time being in Disney, and my husband and family trying to make the best experience/birthday for me, Belle’s Castle was the first and last time they see me.NOT impressed.
