    Your homeschooling is showing….

    1. Bob Chapek

      And your public schooling is.

1st I’m not happy about the price increases on the customer, but why would he as the CEO NOT KEEP raising the price; he’s trying to find the moment when WE Finally say Enough… and that is only going to happen when we stop going and paying the prices they put out. So it won’t stop or change until we stop “agreeing” to these prices by still going to the parks. I love Disney, I love going, I loved WHEN I could go multiple times in a year, I would go back tomorrow but I would go back and be ANGRY at how crowded it is and how expensive it has become and I would be angry at the size of portions and ALL THINGS that have not changed for the betterment of the guest but for the company. Which IT IS A COMPANY there to make as much profit as WE are willing to give it. You want it to stop, then stop giving him the ammunition to make it this way.

One stupid comment followed by another.

    2. Sean

What does home schooling have to do with it?

  2. Elijah Abrams

Imma gonna hire a hitman to take out David Zaslav and Bob Chapek.

  3. Bob Chapek

Not going back until genie+ is gone and ive been going since the 80s

    1. Same! We went in March. After paying close to 1200.00 in park passes and Genie, we rode 3 rides! Done with Disney!!!!

  4. People still pay at the entrances, people still pay for rooms and people still pay for food, drinks, ice cream, etc…so who’s fault does it really fall on???

  5. Sue

People will not stop going even if the price for a ticket was 550$. There are Disney crazy people out there. The way they treat there employees is bad they could care less about them

    1. Maryann Sottile

Will be finding a new family event. Have been going since the 80’s with my grandchildren from when they were little until they were adults. Went once recently with my great grandchild. Sadly I will not be going back.

  6. Sandy

Just left universal it was stress free and the people nice the restaurants where great prices for everyone stayed at there top hotels didn’t have to schedule what park I had to go to or rides very relaxing the staff was so pleasant. Disney needs to go back the way they where before the pandemic I won’t go back until changes not the way it’s going By the way I was there a week had money left.

    1. Joe

Out of curiosity, what places did you get food at Universal that had great prices for everyone? Would love to see a price comparison on the food items between parks to see the disparity. In Disney’s big price increase, a 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger Increased by $.50 from $12.29 to $12.79. Universal’s options seem just as overpriced being that a Krusty burger comes in at $13. Which hotel did you stay at that was considered one of Universal’s Top Hotels? What was the cost per night? It looks like Aventura Hotel, Universal’s lowest priced mid-teir hotel costs $132 a night. Disney’s All-star resorts, their comparable offering, costs the same. Also, since you didn’t have to schedule a day at Universal, did you face any capacity issues. I know if it’s too crowded, Universal does have a capacity limit and will just stop letting people in. Does Universal not get the crowds to bring it to capacity often, I know people have been complaing about the large crowds at the Disney Parks recently. I would honestly favor a reservation system in that case to guarantee my entry into the park rather then being told I was out of luck until tomorrow due to capacity and having that day be a bust vacation wise.

  7. Julian Herring

A step to far… Disney CEO has gone insane with greed.

  8. Stan

If people stop going instead of complaining it will hit them in the wallet but that will never happen I gave up my annual pass I’m not giving in to price hikes I like my money in my pocket

  9. Dr. M

I’m so done with Disney. I used to go several times a year. Now when I’m in Florida, I go to Universal or Sea World instead. Thanks to “Cheepak”, the Disney magic is gone.

  10. Mary

The people that go to Disney now and have never been there before have no idea what it was like. They think this is how it is.
Well, Cheapit, you have made Disney ridiculous. You want more and more and the park is looking worse for the wear. No upkeep, not up to the past Disney standards. What is wrong with them keeping him in charge? The guy has ruined the place. My money goes elsewhere now. And all your changes, they have done what for the park? Fights, stupidity, rude behavior. Thanks BOB

    1. Cheryl Machado

So very sadly true 🙁 !

    2. Jayne1955

There have been complaints about every CEO for years and they just keep getting worse.

  11. Chris B

As long as people keep paying for the price hikes Disney will think its all working right.

  12. Alan B.

We have visited often since the early 90’s… pretty much every Florida trip we do every other year includes Disney. Bobby has given us a great reason to skip Disney until major changes happen to reverse course. We’ll now be spending our money at the other various theme parks in Central Florida! Thanks Bob and Josh, Walt Disney would be rolling over with how you are taking advantage of people. Your Disney bubble will burst at some point and it already has for many of us who were your faithful come back over and over crowd. I love the Disney Walt created, but not where leadership today has led it. My dollars will not go to Disney any longer.

  13. C’mon, Man!

Epcot is a big party atmosphere more than a vacation today.

  14. Diana

I’m a long time Disney fan and I have another trip planned in January. Unfortunately this will be my last trip as I’m on a fixed income and cannot afford all the price increases. Guess Universal will be getting a new fan.

    1. S Nogg

Feel the same. We’re scheduled for September, and that will prob be it for me.

  15. Carl

Hey Chapek here are some more items you could start charging
    1. Charge for the Disney air you breath in the parks
    2. Charge for walking on the sidewalk and a higher charge for walking down Main Street
    3. Charge for that Disney smell
    4. Charge the guests if a character waves at them during a parade
    5. Charge for how many steps you take in a park
    6. Charge to wash your hands in the toilets
    7. Charge a guest if a Cast Member says “Have a Magical Day”
There are so many more things that Disney can charge for and I have no doubt Chapek is thinking about many more ways to financially shake down the guests for their make believe Magic! As much as I have enjoyed Disney in the past, it is now past me wanting to spend as much as they charge to stand in lines.

    1. Jayne1955

      Don’t give him any ideas.

  16. Lou

Chephole, you are garbage, a thief and a con artist. You have ruined Disney for children and adults. If Walt were alive you would be banned from Disney for life. What comes around goes around so you, most likely, you will lead a miserable life. You have hurt people and screwed them. You have helped nobody.

  17. C.C.

I’m a 4th generation Disney Parks fan and longtime pass holder. I have dumped my Disney stock over the money-grubbing and I will not be returning until and unless they get rid of Chapek, go back to reasonable pricing, raise standards to pre-pandemic levels, and do away with the ridiculous requirement of making a reservation in addition to buying a ticket. Also, with the amount of money they’re raking in, they can easily afford to give their employees a raise. Cost of living was already high in CA, but now it’s getting high in FL.

    1. Cheryl Machado

      Agree, completely !!!

  18. Tim C

It’s NOT a necessary expense or vital to your life. Seeing how easily people are manipulated into paying these prices under the guise that you are a bad parent if you don’t take your drooling, crying infant for a “memorable” experience is laughable.

  19. Joe

Get woke go broke. Since Florida is no longer financing their pedo ring, groomers and perv classroom agenda perhaps it is time for Disney to collapse and disappear.

    1. Jayne1955

I have no idea what you’re talking about and I’ve been going to Disney for most of my 67 years. Florida is not helping the situation at Disney.

    2. Ugh

“Derpy Derp, all I know how to do is keep repeating the same MAGAT catch phrases over and over like Derrr… Go woke go broke!, Derrr… GROOMER! And Derrr… Based!”
Maybe grow up and learn to have a pertinent conversation, Magat.. this isn’t a Donnie Dumptard politicaI debate, it’s an article about price hikes. Get a life

    3. S Nogg

You’re an idiot. I’ve been a Disney fan for 60 years and I was never groomed, etc. If you don’t go to Disney properties, we who do will all be safer.

  20. Andrea

They try to make is so only a certain type of people can go. Really sad !

  21. Cheryl Machado

They don’t care. As long as people keep paying their prices, they will continue to rise. I have been going to Disney for over 25 years, but even I am fed up. I mean I have literally been 100’s of times, had annual passes for over 12 years and lived in Rhode Island, then had annual passes when I lived in florida for 5 years, plus multiple family and friends trips over these years. I have watched the light of magic dim, significantly !!! Disney today is very different. If you have been visiting as long as my family and myself, you would understand the growing dissappointment. I understand business and profit, but at what point is enough, enough. Disney was a business man, but he understood this was a business dedicated to families. He used to take his daughter to places that he felt did not serve families well, and so he built a magical place, that did serve us for many years, wonderfully.
Families are being priced out, soon only the rich, will be able to afford the chance to make memories of a lifetime. It is heartbreaking !

  22. Jayne1955

I have stock in Disney and I still don’t want to go back right now. Next time I take my grandkids to Florida we are going to Universal.

  23. Cathy

There really is only one way to stop these greedy price increases, stop going. Stop supporting the price increases by not PAYING.

Disney is raising prices (and will continue) because they can. The parks are at capacity.

Go find something else to do for a year or go and stop complaining.

  24. philly

All these people who complain are probably the same folks who continue going to the parks (obviously, there are exceptions). From a business model, raising prices, knowing that the minions will continue to pay, is the perfect model. Knowing that you are stupid enough to pay the high prices, they will continue to do so. The ‘magic’ is long gone…..it’s all about profit!

    1. Joe

      Exactly

    2. S Nogg

The thing is, when we go to the parks, the planning is a year or two in advance. We intend to complete this long-planned trip, but I look at it as a last hurrah. I believe the numbers will start to decrease as the next year ends.

  25. Dave

ceo chepic is a money hungry bum I meet and talk with Mr.Disney many times when he was alive over many years and he would have fired that bum in an instant as he always said keep parks clean take care of the operation and make it reasonable so families can return again and again to enjoy but now instead it is making it hard to go to and enjoy between tickets –food and suveniers made more for the upper crust of people that come once or twice then go to europe etc. as seen that done that type making it hard for the average person to attend and enjoy so as long as chepic is ceo I will not do anything Disney as the big wigs get high raises and the average employee has a starvation wage and treated poorly– I am a stock holder as well but am assamed to admit it with all the penny pinching the big wigs do and take all the big profits for their higher wages and let the company interstructure wear out to in some cases not safe for the average public so they need to clean house and get good people in the positions and GET RID OF THE BUMS!!!!!!!!!

Its sad when my father had triple bypass 2 years ago. He told us he would enjoy a family vacation to Disney just once to see the Christmas decorations up.
After showing him all the hoops to jump thru for a trip now, all the needs of a smartphone. Then the price increases.
He looked at me and said forget it.

    1. Joe

Of course he said forget it! He asked his child for a vacation and your only reaction was to do everything is your power to try and convince him out of it!! Of course I would have said “Ahhh forget it!” Too! Maybe you have another sibling he can go ask without fearing of getting his idea swatted down like a fly at a barbecue.

All these negative comments towards Bob Paycheck and rightfully so, but I’ll bet not one has been sent to Disney directly. As a long time Disney goer and a DVC member, I will no longer partake in any Disney theme park activities. I will use my DVC for a nice room, but enjoy my time at more appreciative, competitor parks. And yes, I have let Disney know this via direct email.
    The board does not care.

  28. Thumper

It is truly sad to see how much Disneyland has changed. I’ve been taking my disabled son to Disneyland for 22 years and had to finely give up our passes. So sad. But I just couldn’t afford the price it cost us each month. And on top of that having to make reservations to get in. Having black out dates.for the top tier. My son doesn’t understand why he can’t go anymore. It’s just so sad to see what Walt pictured for his theme Park to become all about money.

  29. michael

Really don’t want to hear about unhappy employees any more at the approximate total the vacation is costing me about $1,000.00 a day. You don’t like your job go work for Twitter I’m sure they would love to listen to you whine, at least until it becomes a subsidiary of Tesla.

  30. Graboid

They can keep raising the prices and it will never make a difference. Look at the Yankees (or anylargemarket USA) professional sports team’s tickets. They keep raising the prices at even a higher rate than Disney ever has and the ones it prices out are replaced by others waiting to spend their money. Until people truly stop going instead of complaining and really still going, nothing will change.

  31. Lisa

I think the pricing is getting outrageous. I went in April with my friends and although we had a wonderful time, it did get expensive. I wanted to return next year, but it will be 2025 before we all have the cash to return. My thoughts are with those middle class families of 5 or more- they won’t be able to afford it! A trip to Walt Disney World is a childhood rite of passage. Walt Disney envisioned a place where families could have fun together. The way things are going, that’s going to be impossible.

  32. Kim

I’ve been going to Disney for years and it’s only getting more expensive and the experience worse. Just went in September and the guests there were awful. Completely rude, parents not watching their kids, ect. I had a kid pull my hair on a ride and the parents said 0. Magic express is gone, the busses to the hotels and parks were rediculous with being over crouded (at off hours) and late. I waited 2 hours for a bus to Disney springs and 4 went by that were completely full and wouldn’t take us. I chatted with a cast member to get another bus and nothing came of it but “we apologize for the inconvenience”. You pay thousands for a vacations and expect to have a good time. This was the first time I was actually looking forward to going home, which is a shame.
I will have to say, for the most part the cast members saved the trip. We met some awesome ones.

  33. Frank

He is a @&$&@$ well you can imagine what that is but who in the world deserves to be paid that much in monthly salary, pro athletes don’t even deserve to be paid as much as they make for playing a game that they say they love to play since they were children, and now get paid so much for one game as some people make in a year surely bob doesn’t deserve the bonuses that he gets a year which is more money than a Disney cast member would make working there for 30 or 40 years he could use the bonuses they all get and spread the wealth with the employees that help get them those bonuses which goes for every company in the world the suits don’t deserve those big bonuses or would get those bonuses without the little man or woman working there asses off for them

  34. Wes

You all will continue to pay and Bob knows it. Complain all you want, but until all Disney fans say enough is enough and stop going, the increases will not stop. Disney fans have no backbone. I haven’t been since 2019 and do not plan on going back anytime soon. I cannot get onboard with the new political greedy machine known as Bob’s company.

  35. Your Mother

Whats wrong with Japanese people that’s not wrong with you?

  36. Michael

Increasing price is one thing however is there value to back it up? NO. I have been to all Disney properties and best rides are designed and placed in Tokyo and Shanghai. Yes Tokyo Disney does not control and in Japan there is higher expectations however in Disneyland Paris their rides were better when it years ago as well. Disney CEO and board of directors approve what the US parks will or will not gain and so far it really is not anything to WOW about. Chapek and board seem to rehash and slap on TV and Movie names to “not so good, or actual Disney true designed rides” or retheme old rides and call it “new” to meet the agreement made at least with Anaheim for Disneyland. If you actually review marvel land in CA that ride is available in small parks it is not new just dolled up and compared to what universal islands of adventures has had for more than 10yrs it is a joke. And green lighting smugglers run thats just a newer gamers version of star tours so why b/c star tours still out beats it with it having different tours. Ultimately in the US Chapek and the board are looking for increase in the $$$ not increase in guest value, experience or fun on ride otherwise sure keep everything keep magic bands, reservations, appt lists, genie+ and all that. Reality is they aren’t fixing rides efficiently, don’t have good pay for Disney staff and reduced staff on top of that changed the way staff work schedules and sick leave therefore more difficult for the workers to maintain proper work/family balance but at the same time the upper management continues to make and bring in high pay and bonuses.
Disney Corporation is not the only business that works this way most US corporations do the same it’s just talked about b/c we consumers remember what Disney was and what Disney is NOW. Until the Board Members want a change Chapek is going to continue b/c as long as money comes in and they get it the workers really do not matter and we the consumers keep wanting more of some of the substandard expensive items Disney is giving the USA. Reality is you can visit Disney overseas less expensive than Florida or Disneyland since a day pass is only $78 think about that one hmm why is that.
