I’ve had the “unique” experience of riding Space Mountain twice w/ the lights on . The first time was spring of 1979 and my 2nd time riding it that day. I spent my time looking at everything I was whizzing by as well as the coaster on the opposite track . The next time riding w/ the lights on was in 2000. I have to say once you ride w/ the lights on , it “demystifies ” the ambience of the experience.
As interesting as riding with the lights on is, try the MNSSHP where they turn all the lights off and play different music. I know this ride is not fast, but the twists and turns make your head jerk around some, so now this is on a no ride-list for me.
