Kick her out and ban her. Period

    1. Azza

Definitely ban her period. We can’t have her in a bad mood.

      1. Katy

        Lol @Azza

        1. Juicekitty

I mean I get it.. but honestly even though she was out of line, it really wasn’t that bad. I hate people like her, but she was trying to be funny and tbh they were kinda being hyper-dramatic about it. She barely touched him. Again, it wasn’t cool of her but like I said she barely touched him. Then the actors let it ruin the experience for everyone. Maybe tell her “hey, don’t touch the people this is your only warning.” But walking away from your job which is to entertain these guests and children because someone touched you is petty af and kills it for everyone else. If people stopped doing their jobs every time someone grabbed them or touched them or anything that isn’t assaulting half the park wouldn’t be working. Everyone would be “walking away” from their jobs. So even though she was out of line, I blame the workers for letting something so common ruin it for every other person there. Again, petty and hyper-dramatic.

          1. Dan

            Stop writing words already. Jesus.

          2. Jay

Are you kidding me? Maybe they should all walk away then! I don’t care if it’s their job you keep your hands to yourself period! The fact you’d actually put a job above basic human rights is sick

          3. Marie

It is Never okay to place your hands on anyone when you have not been invited to do so. This example of behavior is totally inappropriate for an adult at a park designed to create a place of fantasy and imagination for children. An adult that needs to take that measure to gain attention or humor, it desperately unsuccessful at common sense and knowing your place in a social setting. Her behavior is completely embarrassing. Ruining a moment of core memory for these young children is what is Not okay. It comes down to personal accountability and having self respect. I believe people that don’t have that understanding would have a problem recognizing the errors of her poor choices.

          4. Christine Dix

I used to work with characters that are dressed up. They have almost no vision, they’re extremely hot costumes and having someone grab you from any angle is dangerous because you could fall down, possibly on someone. Also she sets a bad example for the kids, and if the actors remained there after a basic rule is broken, the kids will think that it’s ok to do that. There are human beings inside the costumes, not your entertainment slaves!

          5. George

So true, people are just overly sensitive these days. Even the comments around this are so so dramatised

          6. Juliana

            👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

        2. Julie

That is sad the kids should come first they probably got confused. 😕

      2. Sandra

That Chewbacca costume looks like crap. lol

        1. Bob

          YYYYYA, THAT’S THE POINT… 🥴😵‍💫🤪🥸🤡
          🤦🏽‍♂️

          1. WilliamW

Silly person. Bad influence on children. Fine her! Make it hurt in her purse

          2. Ricardo Rojo

poor Chewbacca, his skull was fractured… he got chewed

        2. Chainsaw

Then you make one then 😜

    2. She definitely needs to be banned

    3. Char cooper

      Drfinately!!

    4. John De

Yes band her for life, just like Jete!

    5. Atron

  2. Azza

Oh the trauma, I hope Chewie is OK after that violent assault. His arm hair might have been messed up a tad.
Straight to ICU for Chewie. A general anaesthetic will be needed and hundreds of stitches for the 12 hour operation to rebuild his butthurt.

This ‘incident’ gets more media coverage than the innocent shopkeepers assaulted, their stores looted and burned by savage vermin in the BLM riots. This is what’s wrong with society.

    1. Chris

Yes, the riots were bad, but honestly so is this. The lady should be banned from ALL theme parks for life, it was an assault.

People need to know there are consequences for bad behavior or we are going to keep seeing it.

      1. PATRICK

AND try to remember there’s a person in that costume who doesn’t deserve to have his head punched. When you’re in costume the heads are heavy annd you neck is stressed. You don’t need any more pain.

        1. Jess

That’s very true. I’ve worked at some places where we can’t touch the guests and they can’t touch us. Unfortunately I’ve been pushed, shoved, slapped, poked, etc. One time I had one guy yanking on my arm and another guy pushing me down on my back at the same time. Messed my foot up a bit. But according to Azza it’s no big deal because Azza thinks all of the protests were violent. You do know there’s a difference between protests and rioters right?

          1. RES

            You obviously dont

        2. Coral

I’m glad someone else saw her hit him in the back of his head! I was beginning to wonder who actually watched the video.

      2. Carlos

Oh god..an assault? You millennials are made of glass I guess…

        1. RobbieG

Yea because we can’t lay down a good ole fashion ass whooping anymore. I’m a polite, respectful and humble individual. Yup, it was whooped into me.

        2. Madi

Unwanted, nonconsensual touching is assault. Grabbing, poking, pinching, etc are considered assault by the law. Go cry about it.

      3. Juliana

I’m confused. Assault is different than bad behaviour.

I agree that it was bad behaviour. Fine her and advise her that another will give her a 1month ban, and a 3rd one would ban her for life in all Parks operated by them.
Assault is not bad behaviour. Assault is a lot worse than that. Talking from my own personal experience with both, from the same person, daily.

    2. Bryan

      1. The BLM protests have nothing to do with this.
      2. The BLM protests were overwhelmingly peaceful
      3. The BLM protests were in response to an act of violence. This woman was not responding to any violence perpetrated on her.
      4. The violence at BLM protests that DID end up occuring were often perpetrated by far right groups like the Proud Boys hoping to convince people that the BLM was responsible – which clearly worked in your case

      1. Katy

Couldn’t have said it better Bryan.

      2. Tim

Bryan please leave this is about Disney Parks not your twisted political views. Just like Azza you started off good but let politics come in.

        1. Paul

That’s not political. Those are actuals facts. Do a little research you Neanderthal. I know reality hurts your viewpoints. That’s why the planets laughs at Rep’s

          1. Anon

Those actually aren’t facts, as almost all of that can be debunked by an abundance of evidence to the contrary. Nice to know you’re the kind of person that insults someone who disagrees with you though. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why no one should believe the things you believe, lest they get lumped in with someone who acts that way.

      3. Anon

Points 2, 3 and 4 are probably false (despite what you tell yourself).

Point 1, though, is true, and it was a weird thing for that person to bring up, especially on an article on a theme park website . It is immensely frustrating to see a grown adult ruin a special experience for those kids. People pay a lot to be there, and for many, it may be a one time trip. To have some weirdo who can’t handle not being the center of attention ruin a potentially special memory for those kids is inexcusable, and she should absolutely be banned.

        1. Jess

So what are you saying that we riot just out of the blue. Ok I’m mixed a d half of my family is black. I’ll wait while you get your head out from under there to list all the riots we were in.

      4. Bon

This is no place for this

      5. Old Professor

You’re obviously a brainwashed liberal fool. The BLM riots, OH sorry, “peaceful protests” caused millions in damages to property and businesses. I won’t even get into the cost in human life. These so called rightwing boogeymen you would like to blame had nothing to do with it… Get a clue FFS. Try taking your ignorant liberal head out of your ass and smell the fresh air for a change. Sorry to be raw but the willfully stupid you are spewing should not be tolerated.

        1. Not azza

You must be a professor of stupidology.get your head out of your ass and face the reality that your conspiracy theories are just a cover for your ability to lose and your inability to accept being a loser.

        2. Ted

Billions of dollars of damage, dozens killed including police officers but who is counting.

      6. Fieldrat

BLM and the Jan 6th people should be in the same prison for 25 years. They both were insults on the civilized world.

      7. Josh

Well said. Just ignore the stupidity that thinks it’s meaning something when it’s responding to you

      8. Not for you

Yes the “Proudboys” did a couple BILLION dollars worth of damage at the “Overwhelmingly peaceful” couple of protests that ended up with a few broken windows and a garbage can that was accidentally set on fire by an errant cigarette. The “Proudboys” traveled around the country setting fires and assaulting people and murdering a few of them just to make it look like that thieving organization “BLM” was bad. The group with tens of thousands of members “Proudboys” did ALL the damage in the “OVERWHELMINGLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS” and all those people seen burning looting destroying and murdering were “Proudboys” in “blackface” disguise to frame black peoples to make it LOOK like they were out of control pushed to this by the organization BLM who we know didn’t steal MILLIONS OF DOLLARS and only helped the leaders of said organization and not one single other POC because they would wouldn’t not do that. Right?

      9. Sandra g

        Totally correct.

    3. Dotti

Wow how ridiculous to throw your political baloney in a topic that has nothing to do with it. Typical for Maga Types. Can’t deal with the subject as hand without throwing in their baloney.

      1. Anon

…and yet you continue to do so…on a theme park website…just so everyone knows where you stand on the issue (as if we care…)

And wow. If only you weren’t such a hateful bigot toward half the country. Maybe go back to reddit so you and your BlueAnon friends can live in an echo chamber and convince each other you’re right and everyone else is wrong and evil, while people who live in reality have to deal with the consequences of your ignorance.

    4. Me

      Shut up

    5. no

imagine having such brain rot that you see an article on a Disney fan site about something happening at Disney world and immediately jump to “the media (???) is focusing on this instead of BLM”

    6. Zezna

      Thank you ! lol
I was like , she shouldn’t have done that but wheres the fire? Honestly the actors could have played it off and not left so dramatically. That’s what ruined it moreso for the kids. Yea I agree. This is the problem with our society , you were just making a inference. You can’t say anything , make any jokes any more , everything has to be politically correct. You get sued or canceled for practically anything. Try to ask people to take responsibility , like the actors for their way they handled it. Nope, can’t do it. A kitten video or trial with Jonny Depp will get more views
and attention than anything that really matters. We got our ” woke ” culture now and lots of people who eat it up.

    7. Azzaisasnowflake

Calm down there snowflake. Do you need to go to the hospital for your butthurt?

    8. Will

You’re an idiot and your comment is stupid. You are exactly what is wrong with society and this country.

    9. Aaron

Uh no, you are. This has nothing to do with those situations. Stop trying to stir up issues.

    10. Eyeroll

Lmao YOU are what’s wrong with society, downplaying someone getting assaulted on the job and acting like there was no news coverage at all about riots and looting. How’d you hear about all that stuff if the media reported on it less than this story which has one post?

    11. Truth

Don’t forget th Jan 6th riot as well.

    12. Josh

No, YOUR insensitivity is what’s wrong with society. The reason things like this get media coverage is because idiots like you keep trivializing stupid acts like this when she needs to be made an example of, so that cast members can peacefully do their job.
Your callousness almost makes me believe that you may know who that pathetic woman is, or maybe that’s you in the video and you’re now downplaying your idiocy.

    13. Not azza

No you are what’s wrong with society

    14. Carmen

Really? Why are you so stupid? You. Am not touch a cast member unless they offer themselves to you. Open arms, a hand out for a handshake that is okay. Being an ass ruins it for everyone. I wish they kicked her out and banned her, but I’m sure they didn’t. You don’t do that for the safety of the cast members. I’m sure Chewbacca was not hurt, but they cut the visit short because they have to for everyone’s safety. If that woman was standing around and Chewbacca snuck up behind her and did that she probably would feign outrage and sue.

    15. Chainsaw

      Oh I see…..

  3. Cyndi

    I hope she was banned

    1. floridaGail

People try to scare people no matter where they at, strangers they just do it for her laugh and sometimes people laugh too but one thing people are saying “she should be banned ” I see the different way she tried to scare Chewbacca the kids, stood there confused because the actors walked off, when they should remember too, That the show must go on and handle her later she’s grown, the kids didn’t understand, the actors ,they was just being upset because she interrupted them. when they should have remembered the show must go on once again.

  4. Don Quixote

Azzaro was probably the person who grabbed Chewie!

  5. LaurenB

There was no need to walk away from the kids.. they could’ve finished up. All the did by walking away was disappoint the kids and confuse them as if THEY did something wrong. I don’t even think the kids noticed the inconsiderate woman. Just call a cast member/security over, which shouldn’t of been an issue since a cast member walks with the characters.

    1. OMG

      100% agree.

I missed this comment as i skimmed through them. I too commented pointing same thing you did out.

    2. Meltigger

Exactly. People acting like she punched Chewie. My word she ruffled his hair, ban her for life! Really? Should she have done it, no. Adults should know to keep hands to self. The cast should have ignored it, and security pulled her aside and let her know she can be kicked for touching Characters like this. Blowing it up like she punched him is ridiculous. As is the folks bringing in all the other stuff non-related to this.

  6. Chris

I cringe when people grab their hairy Chewbaccas in public.

  7. I agree that this woman should have been kicked out of the park and banned. For those that think this was okay, next time it may be an actual assault on a character or CM that’s just there doing their job. So many have lost control of themselves for whatever reason.

    1. Jess

That’s very true. As I wrote elsewhere though I’ve worked in costume for other places. I”ve been pushed, shoved, slapped, etc. That’s not cool. We’re here to entertain not be shoved around like punching bags. I get why they left. For anyone defending what if she tried again and Chewy fell. I bet tons of people would be outraged. But because he didn’t fall “it’s ok”.

  8. PATRICK

Try to remember there’s a person in that costume who doesn’t deserve to have his head punched. When you’re in costume the heads are heavy and your neck is stressed. You don’t need any more pain.

  9. Alfred

Aren’t the character CMs union? I’m guessing if an inappropriate interaction of any sort occurs there’s an obligatory report to get written immediately which might explain the walk off. The company probably wants the paperwork if there’s any chance of litigation by anyone be they guest, CM, security or bystander claiming their day was ruined.

  10. donuts are the way

instead just knock the maga karen’s head off and watch the maga karen walk off crying her head off like a orange-tanned drumpy baby. oooh the maga karen should finish the show and not leave the confused kiddies wondering why karen is so upset that her guy lost the election. waaah!

  11. J8

That wasn’t even remotely funny. It was disrespectful. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was intoxicated, with behavior like that.

  12. Mark Graff

    Fart desk bread diploma.

    1. Aaron

      What?

  13. Katy

I was a character in fur at Disney World several years ago. There were absolutely beautiful moments that I will never forget. But I was also punched in the stomach, had my fingers bent back to the point where one of them broke, and was punched in the face. ALL BY ADULTS!!! The point is that there are actual people in those costumes, people who want nothing more than to make a child’s dream come true. Please don’t be that person who ruins it.

  14. Christine Tullock

😂😂😂 I am not into star anything 😂 but the lady was not having Karen mess with her friend! Now you did it karen! This is why we can’t have nice things!

    1. Aaron

      What?

  15. Joxua

Notice how they blur out images of children and then ban and Sue the live streamers who shamelessly show other people’s families and children.

  16. Steve

Boy is my face red with embarrassment! All these years I thought it was the $1,000/day cost for a family of 3 to enjoy themselves at the park that was snuffing out the magic. I stand corrected!

    1. OMG

      Lmao

  17. John F

We have seen this before at Disney parks. The Cast Members are told to be affable, but if they feel threatened they are to get to a safety spot. This serves two purposes, one it gets them to safety and two, it keeps Disney from having a scandal to defuse. This woman was probably approached later by undercover security and informed how the park was going to handle this incident.

  18. Frankie Croft smales

Was any of us there when it happened no we wasn’t then how can people judge on what went down at the time without being present we are quick to judge others but not ourselves.

    Centrevez entertainment Uk

  19. The Truth

Are you surprised?? She is typical ignorant white-trash.

  20. Gregg Oreo

“GRAB “, and, I am led to believe? What? The way Michael Jackson grabs Michael Jackson? This reporting is so nebulous, you have left this reader to SUPPOSE what part of an actor’s anatomy was seized,, and,, where,, and: for what duration of time. If you were a prosecutor in a Court of Law, the judge would ask you to stipulate what you’re discussing. This essay/ report is written so, ah,, “dainty”(?) that its poor description is left to conjecture on behalf of your reader. And . In today’s age of fact checking: please, PLEASE be more forthcoming or don’t write the story at all. Gregg Oreo, Journalist and P. R. Consultant. Long Beach Ca, Cast Member in Anaheim Resort, W. E. D’Land.

  21. Mike

I love Chewy responded with a Rrrrawhhhh! Not sure what that means in Wookie, but I’m sure it means something not nice!

  22. Ratthew

This website is like all those recipe blogs that have to give you the entire history of humankind to get to the actual thing you’re looking for. Like 10% of this article was actually about the thing that happened.

  23. Jenn

I am not sure how politics got into this!! I’m assuming most of you are grown adults and are acting like children.
What she did was wrong, she ruined the experience for all those kids. Some kids only get to Disney once and it’s a dream come true. She should be banned and fined. This isn’t about politics or protests it’s about the kids.

    1. OMG

Honestly she didn’t ruin it for the kids. The overreaction from the 2 characters ruined the experience. Yes, her attempt to be funny wasn’t, but i doubt she hurt chewy. If they just continued like it didn’t happen woulda been best. Then report it after the show so a security or staff member can simply talk to the woman.

If i was there with my kids, i would’ve looked at it as awkward when she did that. I would’ve more upset the characters walked off. The kids didn’t no any better. Or most if not any of the kids saw it happen.

Theres no ban needed. Just a simple talk saying, “look mam, in this powderpuff society of overreacting cry babies we cannot do things like this. If you touch another character again we’ll have to ask you to leave”.

For everyone calling that a hit, from the words of Randy Moss “C’mon Man”. She lightly slapped him in back of head.

      1. OMG

LOL. I dont vote. I dont care. No president matters. They are pawns. Looks like someone else needs to educate themselves before trying to act superior

  24. John De

Band her for life, just like Jete!

  25. Rad

Women also looks like she is the reason parks still need smoking sections.

  26. OMG

    1. OMG

Excuse me, not even a light slap. She just put her hand on back of his neck/upper shoulder area. With other hand on his arm. And went rawr as she did this.

I feel bad for her because everyone is overreacting and treating her so badly. Ok, you think its wrong or distasteful, but THINK ABOUT IT, have you never done something embarrassing before??? Your lying if you say NO. Now, think if whatever you did was on video online and tou have so many people treating you like crap…. Lets have some thoughts before going crazy on overreactions.

  27. Bon

Lots of Disney adults here today.

  28. J

I think bc it’s Disney, they walked away bc they HAD to. Like they have such a strict list of rules, I’m sure there’s a rule that says, if a guest hits you, stay in character as long as you can while walking away.

    1. OMG

Only issue is there was no hit.
It was a quick 2 hand touch trying to get a jump scare

      1. OMG

        I wouldn’t.

You should probably go somewhere, your ignorance and lack of actual intelligence is noticeable. Your trying to hard to be insulting but sound like a fool

        1. Juliana

          👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  29. Rusty

Charge her with assault, just to make a point.

    1. Juliana

Not sure, but I don’t see it as assault. In my opinion, that was inappropriate behaviour (it wasn’t agressivo). A very Easily difusable situation, and would not ruin the situation for the guests. If I was there, I would have seen the guest as either an idiot, or someone someone who just won a bet. And would preferred the show, you know, went on…
The actors are as much as guilty and the idiot woman, who probably had to respond to the park’s security

  30. Jay

What a sow, she should be rejected from all parks!

  31. Jesse

Chewbacca in character as a wookie should have ripped her arms off lol

  32. Sheila

If a male guest had touched the female actor like that he would have been arrested.

  33. Josh

It was the right thing to walk away. It teaches the kids and unfortunately some adults. That if you act inappropriately then you pay the price. She was only trying to be funny for herself and unfortunately for her kids that probably see this type of behavior on other levels. She knew that they would walk away. She didn’t care. They should of ask her to leave the park. I

  34. Juliana

    IN MY PERSONAL OPINIONS:
The actors could easily had handled that situation. There was no danger to anyone, just a over-excited fan being rude and out of place. If she had asked first, he would probably had said something like after this performance (in which he didn’t do much else than just stand there.
Ignoring her after that would had been enough to handle this situation, I don’t think they were the only ones who had to deal with a situation like that. Remember the proposal that was ruined by an employee? I don’t remember which park…
Rey escalated a situation out of ego (he did not fall and wasn’t showing any signs of fainting when he storm out, instead of defusing things.
I would think Princess Lea, Darth Vader, Luke, ha solo and other Chewbacca’s around the world have had to deal with similar unwelcomed behaviour from rude, idiot park guests, conventions, ComiCon, other theme parks and celebrations. I have actually seen similar people have that kind of annoying behaviour in my trips to DisneyWorld, and other theme parks. “Star Wars” themed in Florida (I don’t remember the name), for exemple sure had situations like this (had a person who jumped off his cart in the ET rollercoaster ruining that ride for at least everyone in front and behind the cart I was in… js
That rude and unwelcomed behaviour was a very good teaching opportunity… do one of Rey’s defence positions to defende Chewbacca and tell the kids around that she was ready to defend him from any other attacks like that. As a parent, I can say that both behaviours destroyed the experience for the kids, who had nothing to do with that annoying and out-of-line park guest.

    1. Juliana

      *opinion

Please ignore other grammatical errors. I saw some after I posted it

  35. Steve

Well ray does say it in the film “walk away” . But yeah I think it was a good idea . Now all eyes can turn and look at the lady who done it. That’s what the lady wanted any way was the attention. Now she has everyones

  36. Michael

With all the bs going on you all are really on here whining about this bs. Grow the f up. Unreal. How the f our soft ass country hasn’t been invaded yet in have no idea.

  37. Priscilla

Of course this disgusting, lousy, useless Karen is wearing sandals, they all wear their dirty sandals with their lizard feet no one wants to see.no one should ever tolerate them.
