I don’t want them to rename it. It’s been Splash Mountain for years and all of sudden people started to complain about what it’s based off as and I understand. But all of sudden have started to complain about everything that is wrong with rides or show. People can’t have everything changed because there feelings are hurt.
it is not all of a sudden. The film has been problematic for decades, in part for the implication that slaves were happy with their lot. While the original stories are still in print and worth reading, there is nothing unusual about Disney retheming an attraction. Tiana is very popular.
Sure is not. It bombed in the Box office and every time you go places all you do is see princess in the frog Is merchandise nobody’s gonna buy that stuff. Wouldn’t make a brand new ride because they knew it would be a flop. people would go on once and never go on it again. I just wish Disney would go back to what made them popular to begin with.
LIt’s a Disney tradition to slack off on maintenance of attractions that are slated for demolition or repurposing. I remember riding Snow White’s Scary Adventures shortly before they tore it down, and you could tell they hadn’t been taking care of it in a while. Same with Horizons.
Based on the fact that the tweet was in Japanese, I suspect this was at Tokyo Disneyland. Evidence of this is furthered by the fact that the nose was actually replaced in a timely manner. Note: Tokyo does not plan to retheme Splash.
