I got the email on this earlier today. I’m rather annoyed that they seem unwilling to honor those who made reservations for these experiences at the lower cost. It doesn’t feel right to me. If I reserve a hotel room at $200 a night, then a month before I’m due to arrive they decide to up the price to $250, I feel like that hotel would have to honor the lower reserved price. How Disney can get away with not doing the same is ridiculous. How much more money do they really need? Because that’s all this boils down to – pure and simple greed.
And with all the recent stories of how the magic is missing and things are going wrong in the parks, and it’s not the same level of customer service it used to be, it makes me wonder if it’s really even worth it anymore.
We’re taking our teens there over Thanksgiving week, but honestly I think that may be my last time.
Bob chapek will continue to price gouge until the public says, no more. I never did the light Saber or Droid depot experiences. Having daughters, we went through the expensive bibbidy bobbidy. They are still not open, so we will await people’s disgust about the prices relatively soon.
Everyone keeps complaining about price increases with everything, but continue to do these vacations! I seriously think some people are just THAT addicted to Disney! They complain, but then just deal with it. Like lightning lane. You know how many times I hear people say, “I hate it but you’re already spending thousands, what’s another couple hundred?” It’s this complacent attitude of why Disney keeps doing it! It’s like politics. Nothing changes until people stand up to it. Stop complaining and actually do something about it! Stop booking these trips and experiences!
We recently went with our whole family to Disney World at the end of August. We have been there many times but this was our first with our young grandchildren and since the pandemic. What a disappointment! The magical feeling of Disney is gone. The excitement is lacking, things were broken down, the monorail gates wouldn’t work so we were told to find alternate travel, food was mediocre and everything was an extra cost. Even the employees were less than friendly. For the expensive cost of the trip, this will be our last time.😢 We can use that money doing something else!!
