Child Protective Services should have been contacted. This is child endangerment, period. What awful parents. If you don’t want your child, place them with someone who does – family or adoptive parents.

    1. Nicole Colletti

I agree 100% there was no reason they couldn’t take him in or take turns going in! Who the hell leaves a kid by themselves! So irresponsible!

      1. Patty Anderson

They don’t deserve to have kids. They should be in jail.

      2. Leslie Salcedo

Yea whoever left their kid there is very irresponsible that Is very dangerous I’m sure the parents are in jail

      3. Ann

The mother should have been arrested. As an aside, what was also shocking is the amount of women that are overweight. America has turned into a country of unhealthy fattiesfatties.

        1. Cinabun

We are talking about the kid here not how other people eat, get a life.

          1. MsZac

I said pretty much the same thing. She probably uses every opportunity she has to body shame others! She even body shames herself when she looks at her 400lb body in the mirror!

          2. Srvr4life

Did we see the rest of the video? Maybe 1 left the child with the other thinking that they’d watch them. When my daughter was a baby, we were taking turns pushing her in the stroller. We were at a did booth and as we started to walk off, we thought each other had her. It wasn’t until 3 booths away that we all left her. Maybe this situation was the same?

        2. MsZac

OMG!!! Do you use every opportunity you can to body shame people or are you just queen for a day?? Keep your ignorance to yourself.

      4. Guy

I’m surprised the child made it home alive. With all we’re hearing about Disney these days. So between crap parents and pedo Disney, that child absolutely has a guardian angel.

        1. Nunya

The amount of judgmental comments here is disgusting. People act like they’re PERFECT humans. Gtfoh. Unless you know the exact circumstances then STOP IT. Y’all are what’s wrong with society

          1. Charlie

What circumstances? There are ZERO circumstances at Disney that would cause 2 people to leave their toddler in a stroller for someone to take.

          2. AJ

How about food poisoning a four hour line wait and a lack of desire for diarrhea pants on the two mile walk out? There’s always an angle.

          3. Srvr4life

I agree. Without seeing the entire video or talking to the parents of which I’m sure they thought each other had him. And said that they could’ve brought him with them. Umm, did you see the size of that stroller and bathroom? Not an easy fit.

    2. Many many many countries leave their children outside of shops to eat and shop. It’s only weird to Americans.

      1. Ricky

It’s illegal in America to do this.

        1. Jamie

Agreed, and regardless of what country you are in, that’s a dangerous/neglectful situation.

          1. Teddy Gingerich

That depends on the country and the culture. I spent a couple of years in Iceland in the 80s; shops in both towns and large cities like Reykjavik are very small. Parents routinely leave infants in prams outside shops for a short time. The crime level in Iceland is very low, and this is the cultural norm.
Here in the US, it’s not a good idea (to be Captain Obvious). Since apparently there were two adults, one should have stayed with the child. Even in a major theme park, bad things can happen.

          2. Molly

I’m so tired of “articles” written about TikTok videos. Literally grasping at straws for content without any verified sources.

          3. Joe

100% agree. This is such a non-story. Pathetic really.

          4. Frank N. Stein

If you were a boy abandoned by your parents I bet you would think different !!

          5. Qui

This happens far more often than anyone realizes in Disneyland, and I’m sure, many other theme parks. My daughter is a cast member and has found numerous children, babies, asleep in strollers, left in the stroller parking areas. Cast members usually stay with the child for x amount of time for the parent to return, and if they do not return in the given amount of time, security is called. Most of the time, parents say that they didn’t want to wake the child and figured they would be fine while the rest of the family went on a ride or two.
            It is appalling.

        2. Tim

Are you sure that it is illegal? New York State has no laws stating what age a child can be left alone. Further how long was the child there?
The thing is don’t confuse what is right and what the law says.
The other thing to think about here is: where did this video appear? TikTok this whole thing could be a staged video to garner whatever it is that you get on TikTok. And platforms like this perpetuate this garbage.

          1. Sab

            Of course…..New York. 🤦🏼‍♀️

      2. Victoria

Because people traffic children, yes it is to dangerous to do that, I would pee with my kid on my lap of I had to!

      3. Rox

Maybe it’s safe to do so in other countries. It sure as hell isn’t here. Thank God it was only Disney where you can be relatively sure of safety but if that’s their habit, they are taking terrible chances. For a dog you need a license but any irresponsible twit can have a kid.

        1. Cetkat

Rox, I agree with you. I’m glad it happened in a relatively safe space and the parents could learn from it. There are many cultural differences, and it’s normal to see people from other countries. Also, times change. I’m 38. When I was a kid, I could ride around the neighborhood on my bike all day.. play with other kids.. leave the front door open and unlocked. It was a different time. Leaving a 5 year old in the car with the air on was normal. Now, it’s criminal. Who are we to judge other countries? (If that assumption is true). Point is, better it happens in Disney – which employs an entire hidden police force and has cameras everywhere, than have it occur elsewhere. Rather than hate and punish the parents – it’s better for the children to use it as a teaching moment. The goal should be to protect the kids, not punish the parents with righteous anger.

      4. Barbara

Lacey are you kidding? That’s not ok. Especially with all the child abductions and sex trafficking. Any parent leaving their child alone is a complete idiot, in USA or any other country.

        1. brian kay

10 years ago my wife and I witnessed at a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike near NYC, a young mother leave several children 4-8 years old at a table. We didn’t see where she went, but she was gone for at least 20 minutes. Finally, she returned empty handed (no food) and walked out with the kids. If there had been a cop or other security nearby, we would have notified them. I think given the location, she’s lucky the kids didn’t just disappear with someone.

      5. Kd

You think this is no big deal and ok? Kids have literally been snatched from parent arms or hands! It is NOT SAFE!

      6. JaneSmith6595

I had to look this up but see that’s the norm in Danish and Scandinavian countries. It’s not safe in America. It’s risk I wouldn’t take here.

      7. Lisette

And in many many countries children are sex trafficed every day. Wake up to the world your leaving in. My son is 8 and I wouldnt have left him un attended. This is disgusting.

      8. Frank N. Stein

Do the children not need to eat also?!

      9. Wake up Lacey

Don’t children need to eat, too?!?

      10. MsZac

So if people in many countries stick their head in a nasty toilet should we? YOU go first & then I WON’T follow.

    3. People need to mind there own business and quit trying to draw attention to themselves as they are total social media LOSERS that sit online eating bon bons

      1. Dan

What are you from the 1960s. Shut up and sit down Jimbob

        1. MsZac

          👏👏👏👏

    4. Birgit Pullens

Security or police should have hauled away the parents! This child needs real parents who care! I am totally disgusted!

    5. Elizabeth

Absolutely agree my granddaughter is much better off because CPS got involved now she is happy healthy and well taken care of. Her adoptive parents were our saving grace.

    6. Kimberly

Absolutely disgusting! How could anyone just leave their child? They need to have the book thrown at them!

      1. MsZac

& a ton of bricks as well!

    7. Veronica

      I agree with Brooke,
Child Protective Services should have been contacted. This is child endangerment, period. What awful parents. If you don’t want your child, place them with someone who does – family or adoptive parents.

    8. MsZac

The kid will be totally safe in social services where kids die everyday across the country! 🤦‍♀️

    9. Paulette M Ketchum

      AMEN!!!

  2. Tiana

I won’t leave my child for a second. He goes in the stall with me if I need to use the restroom. And the fact that there were 2 of them show some pretty disgusting parenting

    1. Holly

Won’t leave your child for a second? But will leave them with strangers at daycare, preschool or elementary school…

      1. Dorothy Gamble

Are they alone at these facilities? These facilities are responsible for the child’s safety.

      2. MsZac

Do you have a better idea? There are many thousands of people across America that would love to hear it Karen.

  3. Jess

If you ask any cast member they’ll tell you how often this happens. It’s not “bad parenting” or “child neglect” it’s simply different Cultural norms. Most of these families are from European countries where it’s normal and safe to leave children and infants in strollers outside.

    1. mls

I appreciate your cultural sensitivity. But rules of thebpark say kids under 14 need to be accompanied. Maybe there should be classes on how to behave at Disney Parks with all the crazy behavior these days- parents fighting, letting kids step off a ride while its paused.

    2. Emma

European here: yeah no this isn’t normal behavior. Nothing to do with our culture. This is just really bad parenting, period.

    3. Ricky

Maybe they should learn the rules of the country they’re visiting before they come? Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

    4. Jamie

But how is it safe in Europe? Evil doesn’t just reside in the U.S.

    5. Victoria

Not normal her amd they should know that, period!

    6. MsZac

What country do you live in Jess? There are people from European & many other continents as well at Disney true. At any Disney park in America the hugely vast majority of them are AMERICANS. Just because people do that in other countries doesn’t mean it’s safe! 🙄😳😒

  4. Linda L. Camacho

They are lucky he was still there when they reappeared.

    1. Athena

Omg poor kiddo. I have 4 kids, which one is autistic and non verbal, and I never leave them alone. It takes a second for any accident to happen. Thank you to the family that watched over him while his parents were away. I hope the mom can be more alert after this.

  5. Paul W

It’s sad really. My parents had no issues leaving me alone for brief periods in public settings when I was as young as 5. I knew to stay put where I was left, not to interact with strangers I didn’t know, and to tell an employee in uniform if something was wrong. I would do all sorts of things alone as a kid…ride my bike, go to the park, go to the store to pick up a few things for mom, stay seated at ballgames while dad went to get concessions. Shame that such behavior has to be deemed unsafe now.

    1. Dee

      Bottom line!!! There’s no excuse!!!

We’re you that young in a stroller! 😡

Your sadly mistaken that not only what I mentioned above, but this world has significantly changed and I’m sure your very well aware of it!

      1. Cleopatra

Any stranger could’ve just walked away with the stroller pretending to be the parent and nobody would have even known different. You can’t trust ANYBODY now with your kids. You hear stories on the news every day about the people that you should be able to trust with your children molesting kids or physically abusing them. The world is worse now than when I was a kid and there is more evil in the world. One of those parents should have stayed with the boy while the other one went in the restroom. It’s commen sense!!

        1. Scolaidhe

Your anecdote almost never happens and the world is almost certainly safer now than it was wherever/whenever you were growing up. People are more paranoid now even though times are safer.

        2. Paulette Ketchum

I totally agree!!! These kinds of parents are always having some perv snatching their kids. They make it too easy for their kids to be taken!!!

      2. Marsha Jones

Exactly! It’s just completely UNFATHOMABLE to me that we even have to tell ADULTS that it is NOT OK to LEAVE A TODDLER UNSUPERVISED!! In 2022!! At Disney World!!! Where would be the EASIEST place for a pedophile to prey upon an UNSUSPECTING INNOCENT TRUSTING UNSUPERVISED CHILD?!?🤷🏼‍♀️ Ding 🛎️ Ding 🛎️ Ding 🛎️Ding Dongs!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Yes, it is SAD that the state of the world is to the point that WE HAVE TO WATCH OUR CHILDREN CLOSELY 24/7… But, we ALL KNOW that we do, it is part of PARENTING, being RESPONSIBLE!! If you want to be care free & irresponsible then DO NOT HAVE KIDS! If you need a break, take a vacay & LEAVE THE KIDS WITH A TRUSTED ADULT! It is NOT HARD PEOPLE!!! Do Better!!!

        1. Paulette Ketchum

          AMEN!!!

      3. Hot Mama

The world has not changed folks . .what you are able to hear and see has….just as unsafe in thr 70s as it is now. And pls…european countries also dump their pets at shelters annually so they can take their vacations…..let’s not use eurotrash as the beakon of morality…..not role models.

    2. Victoria

Yeah you are probably 80 people can’t do that today, trafficking happens with adults today

    3. MsZac

At 5 years old you don’t have to interact with strangers for one of them to take you! 🙄🙄 Exactly how many strangers do “you know”??

  6. Everette

Let’s write an article about a child left alone by his parents, but start out by promoting how great Disney is, then a tiktok followed by a couple of words about how this is against the Disney rules, then finish the article by saying how great Disney is.

    1. Quodnomenmihiest

As bad as leaving children unattended is, just slightly less evil are attention whose list of interminable hashtags is longer than the actual message.

      1. MsZac

No more evil than someone who has the username Quodnomenmihiest! Did you throw a bunch of letters down & pick up the 1st 14 you came across for a username?############}###

  7. Jan

Yes and that’s what I was saying to myself. Americans are not the only ones that go to Disney parks. People around the world do. People just want to cause problems and shame other people for ratings. Some people leave their children outside a cafe in some countries.

    1. Jamie

So you’re saying that in Europe, kids aren’t abducted? This makes no sense. If other countries had no laws for child restraints in cars, they would be punished over here regardless of their country’s “norms”

      1. Nejera

Usually, abductors are parents. Usually, the ones who harms children are not strangers but family, parents’s friends or neighboors. I’m not saying leaving a child alone is a thing to do, but people are paranoids about the bad persons. 1/10 children molested, more than often by their own family but people are afraid by strangers.

    2. Jamie

But this isn’t a cafe! It’s one of the most populated places in the world and not only can you see a kid sitting outside a cafe for a few minutes, but kids are abducted withing five feet of their guardians at a place like this, and they don’t even realize because there are sooo many people.

    3. MsZac

Of course it is totally uncalled for to be concerned about another persons child! I think your parents left you alone your planet idiotica & some stole you & sent you to earth! 🤪

  8. Patty Anderson

They don’t deserve to have kids. They should be in jail.

  9. Jamie

A lot of folks are defending this based on other countries norms. If abandoning your child is normal in another country, so be it. It’s not ok here, and this isn’t a cafe. This isn’t one of the most crowded places in the world.

    1. Scolaidhe

Going to the bathroom is not child abandonment nor neglect.

      1. Jamie

So this child’s guardians, as in more than one, decided to all go to the bathroom because not one of thrm could hang back with the child. Let’s just say this was a bathroom break, and there is only one parent with this child, you can take your young child into a bathroom, regardless of sex! This is just idiotic thinking.

      2. Sean

Here’s a lib. They don’t feel responsible for young kids.

If you are a young kid and have a lib as a parent, see about getting yourself out of that situation as quickly as possible. They don’t care when you’re in the womb and don’t care when you are young and annoying to their fancy lives.

        1. That’s not true.saying it was a lib for that’s bringing politics into this when it was bad part on the mom and dad

  10. Marsha Jones

🤦🏼‍♀️😞 I just… don’t even really know where to begin… It’s just completely UNFATHOMABLE to me that we even have to tell ADULTS that it is NOT OK to LEAVE A TODDLER UNSUPERVISED!!

  11. Scolaidhe

Comments like these are exactly why we need more free range kids bills: to protect families from Karens like you all.

  12. Albert

Just because other countries do it doesn’t make it right, this is not the world of all good sorry to say.

  13. j

Karen’s of the world unite lol

  14. I am a FATHER, I have 3 children and never, not once have I ever taken my eyes off of any of my children
There is nothing more important than the care and welfare of OUR children.
My daughter, Madison Nicole Tenn was abducted by her mother, Shannon Dawn Klaska and the courts in Illinois said it was OK. During my limited patenting time with my daughter Madison Nicole Tenn she shared her fears of being left alone with her mother. I was horrified but promised Madison I would remedy the matter. I pinky swore with Madison that I would protect her.
The very next day Madison Nicole Tenn was abducted by her mother to yet another state which i was unaware.
Madison Nicole Tenn was subjected to a life of abuse at the hands if her mother and the family courts, based upon GENDER, NOT THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD. They ruled that abuse of a 3 yo little girl was ok.
We must always strive, at least as a society to protect our children.

  15. I used to pull the stroller in the stall with me..the door would be open but I had eyes on my child. People are just odd.

  16. Nicole

The mother needs to be reported to Child Protective Services.

    1. Rob

If it was so dangerous and she was so worried, why didn’t she or a member of her party alert a cast member right away or just call 911? Instead she spent the 10 minutes making a tictok video shaming the parents when she knew they were just in the bathroom (proven by the fact that she waited for them to come back). It’s actually probably a faked video. like all of them are. So stupid.

      1. Cetkat

        Excellent point.

  17. Nicole

Probably you are not aware that kids can die

    1. Holly

This comment is awful. I’m looking at you Nicole. Maybe you should be an advocate for something more useful like proper pool fencing or gun control. Things that actually kill kids.

  18. Sean

Typical liberal family. Yes, liberal. Because conservatives know human trafficking exists and is denied by the left.

Bad parents and that kids future is a bit doomed.

    1. Cetkat

What are you talking about? Child trafficking and teen trafficking are not a political item. I’m very liberal, yet I care enough to know there’s a number to alert truckers to such things – as it’s common with truckers at rest stops to abduct teens. I can send an alert to all truckers to watch for the truck and follow, and alert police via radio. I also always approach any kid that seems to be alone & ask where their mommy and daddy are. Usually, they’re within eyesight & thank me for caring. On occasion, I have found a lost kid.. and I don’t leave until we find their parents.

It’s not a right or left thing.

Most people don’t do anything when s*it goes down. They assume someone else will. It’s called the bystander effect. People are afraid of even getting sued, if they step in and stop someone when a kid is crying for help.. saying “you’re not my mom/dad”. You can see the public experiments on YouTube. The real factor is, are you ok with stepping out on that ledge alone, possibly being wrong, but not caring? It’s the social outsiders who step in. Because doing the right thing means more than doing the socially acceptable/safe thing.

  19. People need to mind there own business and quit trying to draw attention to themselves as they are total social media LOSERS that sit online eating bon bons

  20. Deb

Clearly to the left of the stroller there is an older girl sitting down. Who knows who was next to her. I call BS

  21. Mercedes

There is absolutely NO excuse to leave your kid unattended!!! The parents should be held accountable! Whether Americans or not, this shouldn’t even be a thing. What if someone would’ve walked up to the kid and taken him/her? Then what? This is inexcusable!

    1. Holly

Kids get lost in WDW ALL the time, if they were all being abducted I think we would of heard about it. Clearly the child was well behaved and was able to wait there patiently, a sign of good parenting. These comments are crazy.

  22. Danielle

Kudos to her for waiting with the kiddo. But was the tik tok necessary? They could have been very young, ignorant parents, or not very bright, why the public shaming??? We are better than this as a society. Absolutely get services involved and protect the child but why splatter it on your social media when it is honestly not your Circus or your monkeys, therefore not your right to do so.

  23. I think it’s disgusting that this happened. Poor kid to be left alone. He should have been taken to the office by cast members and then had CPS called to have them arrested for child neglect. God knows what could have happened to him, if the lady hadn’t stayed there to make sure he was alright.

  24. I don’t care what country your from. When your in the US you follow are laws like we gave to do in there country. I would’ve called right away for security. Anyone could’ve walked by and grab that stroller and walked away with that kid. Brainless parents

  25. Cheryl Brogan

Never leave kids alone .Our boarders are wide open to sex trafficking and human trafficking
They steal and sell kids. Thanks Biden

  26. Madison's Girl

Regardless of whether Disney wants to preserve their fake image or not. #FloridaDCF should have been called and 911 from a “PRIVATE-CELL-PHONE”..

    1. Dawn

      Read again… California, not Florida.

  27. Marisa

I find it strange that (A) The male didn’t take the child in with him. He looks old ccx enough to be potty trained. (B) if not potty trained, the woman should have waited with child until man returned as lines for men go 100 x faster, then entered. If this woman changed the child’s diaper somewhere in the park, that’s offensive. Both adults know how (?) to care for little one and this made no sense. As video taker whose child explained situation,I’d call staff member immediately and have her go in to get women’s attn. Too tricky dangerous to take child in with her as people- in defense mode usually lie in a minute and try to turn it on you

  28. Elizabeth

Absolutely agree my granddaughter is much better off because CPS got involved now she is happy healthy and well taken care of. Her adoptive parents were our saving grace.

  29. Jen

Anyone notice the obesity of patrons?

    1. Ann

Yes! I made a similar comment. It’s horrible how America has turned into a country of fatties.

  30. FR

As a parent I wouldn’t be quick to judge. Maybe the child was asleep and the parent didn’t want to wake the child up to go into the bathroom. I wouldn’t say they should be in jail or have their children taken away.

  31. Jozie

I agree horrible! But, we have a lot of immigrants to this state, and they state that they don’t know the language, or they don’t understand the rules. These things are probably acceptable where they come from. Furthermore, with Disney packing people in like sardines ( I know, I just got back 1 week ago), people can do whatever they want without consequences. Disney is no longer magical. Time to raise the prices again Disneyland!

  32. Brenda

Whether “illegal” or not, the issue is the child was not being cared for safely! Shame on the caregivers for putting that small child’s life in danger if Gid only knows!!!

  33. Cetkat

Exactly. It can be a learning experience with parents who simply don’t know. And the good thing is, that experience happened in a relatively safe place. There are always bad parents who don’t care.. but there’s also good ones who don’t know.

  34. James

This happens everyday. People come to these parks and think nothing is going to happen. Well it does. You won’t find it in newspapers. The mouse suppresses everything.

  35. It might be ok in their own country. But they have to understand their not in there country. There’s way to much violence in the world, why make it easy for someone to take your child and do whatever they want with the child. When I traveled with my children to a place I’ve never been to. I’m extra cautious, there’s weirdos all over the world.

  36. Gianfranco

    This isn’t news.

    1. Gianfranco Isaturd

It was news to the boy who was abandoned!

  37. Anonymous

I don’t know the situation but the video could of been staged as well. I know there’s also parents who don’t exactly care. And then there are parents who do care about their children.

  38. Marcia

So, were the parents found? What happened to the child/children?

    1. Dawn

If it’s real, they stated that they stayed there until the parents came back, then told a CM.

  39. Hot Mama

The world has not changed folks . .what you are able to hear and see has….just as unsafe in thr 70s as it is now. And pls…european countries also dump their pets at shelters annually so they can take their vacations…..let’s not use eurotrash as the beakon of morality…..not role models. I also love how there were 2 adults but only the “mom” is being chastized….yeah….Dads barely held accountable for anything….not even the unwanted pregnancies they 100% cause

Lissette:Children are trafficked in the US everyday
    women also.

  41. Why wasn’t Park Security called in. Isn’t there some type of Pak Protocol for this? If not there should. Imagine if the child was upset & crying uncontrollably. CPS would have had a field day!!

  42. Sheesh!

    Are you an idiot?
HOW are they supposed to monitor thousands and thousands and thousands of kids every day?!? 🤪👈

If it was me, I would have talked to the kid and asked him if he knew where his parents were. Then, I would have told him, “I’m going to move you out of the way, bcuz there’s a lot of people trying to walk through here.” I would have moved him away from the entrance, so when the stupid women came out, they deserve to have a little panic wondering where their child is!

  44. Ac

Is that not the sibling right there watching him? Lies Lies and more lies.

Mommy dearest is lucky I wasn’t around as I would have taken the child to teach her a lesson and watched from afar for her frantic reaction, then turned the kid over to the lost and found dept to handle the rest.
