You missed the fact this it closed on 8/15/21 and that this was very much expected…

The individual was standing in line, when a part cane off, she wasn’t on the coaster.

You also missed the part about the guest was in line for the ride and not on the ride. Basic fact checking

  3. ITM is trash

ITM is trash reporting. Yes they have been removing track but they have also been carefully crating and shipping it. It is a pretty common opinion among enthusiasts that they will likely refit the launch track with some sort of LSM/LIM launch and they will refit the brake track with different braking as well. Every article I see on this site is either completely lacking in substantial information or just flat out wrong. Funny how a site that reports on the industry knows nothing about the industry.

Your comment has more information than the article. Thanks!

Cedar Point and this ride is such a big part of my childhood . Growing up about 25 miles from here..our annual trip (s) here for the rides and the wonderful beach was the highlight of my summers as a child!

The part fell off the coaster last year.. and hit a woman in line not riding… this article is trash.

Author should quit writing, so incorrect

    Nothing allegedly about it.
It struck her full on while we were waiting in line. Horrifying!
PR staff was already trying to whitewash the situation before the ambulance even left the grounds.

People should remember these are not toys, even with the best maintenance accidents can happen, it’s unfortunate but true. We just try & make them safer just like cars or airlines
