The MCU is using the Wonder Man from the Ultimates (Earth-1610) universe. They’ve cherry picked between Earth-616 and the Ultimates universe since the beginning. The MCU Nick Fury is also from the Ultimates universe as well as Captain America. Some Ultimates characters could not be used in the movies due to controversial storylines, most notably Hulk and Hank Pym (which is why they went with Scott Lang).
If working for Disney or MCU is clown work then maybe Disney and MCU should find a worthy actor to play the parts including Black Manta.Because from what I have seen he isn’t worthy of Black Manta.
