A Price Is Right model? Big deal. That show sucks anyway. So many of us “Regular” people feel our Disney experiences have gone south also so welcome to the club.
Umm, you’ve obviously have never been on a VIP tour at Disney Parks then. You don’t skip the entire line. You get into the Lightening Lane. You don’t go to the front of the line through the exit. That’s not how it works.
What a disgusting example of “celebrities” who think they are so special…
So, you want to go in the exit?
How about waiting your turn like everyone else?
Special meet the characters…?
Special Parade Viewing…?
How about special escort OUT..!
While this demonstrates someone who thinks they are better then everyone else, and deserves special access and treatment… It also demonstrates a very large problem with Park Operations…
When you create “special lines”, you create a “Class System” making some Guests “better” then other Guests.
To amplify the problem, selling the “privilege” is to profit from others by taking their time, and giving that time to 5hose who pay for it.
When you sell something that belongs to you, it becomes simply the choice of the buyer to purchase it or not, as it is yours to sell…
But when you sell privilege, you sell something that does not belong to you, for the privilege you sell, is privilege over others… And that belongs to those others who will now wait longer, because you sold privilege to someone else over them.
That’s not how you treat a a “Guest” in your home, and it is just bad business, as you make many feel less important, for some to feel as VIPs.
Having a “VIP Tour” can be special just because you have a personal Tour Guide…
Perhaps include complimentary food, and/or merchandise (as they are yours to give)…
I myself hold a certain amount of “celebrity status”, but I would want to stand in line and wait my turn right along with everyone else, AS LONG AS EVERYONE IS WAITING THEIR TURN TOO, AND THERE ARE NO “SPECIAL PRIVILEGE” LINES FOR ANYONE.
Being a human being is enough to make anyone special.
Thank you! That’s the point of paying. I can understand people’s gripe with her if she was just trying to skip lines because she is on TV, but the lady paid money for a certain experience.
They are entitled to lightning lane and if ride doesn’t have it they through exit. I’ve been on the VIP tour so that is common and what you are paying for. What she wanted was the celebrity tour access they give for A listers so it doesn’t disrupt. Sorry she’s not that. She came across as entitled. Yikes not a good look.
Honestly using these services makes Disney bad people for offering it and the people who take it bad people for doing it. As someone who worked at Disney when Disney was still Disney, the special treatment guests are looked down on by many cast members. They are the antithesis of the idea. Disney should cancel the program for these entitled jerks. It should only be utilized for “Make a Wish” type of things.
Exactly – that’s what the VIP tour is, that is what you are paying a lot of money for. I understand the annoyance with Disney for selling privilege, but that is not the problem here. She paid for something she did not receive.
This is a weird rant that makes me think you didn’t read the article. Read it again. Slowly. $600. Per hour. Not because she’s a celebrity, but because she paid that much for it. Regardless of who it is, you don’t pay that much to stand in the regular line.
Reading is fundamental, kids.
And your 10 Insta followers done make you a celebrity…
They have different tiers VIP tours. If she paid the 600 a hour. It sounds like the one that gives you Lightning lane. Was a CM for Disney World and seen plenty of VIP tours come through Fast Pass lane.
YOU PAY FOR THE EXPERIENCE! This has little to do with her being on the show you so eloquently state you don’t like. It has to do with not getting your money’s worth.
Aren’t there 2 types of vip tours? I thought the $4k one got lightning lane and the $12k one got the exit door…and they’ll wait in line for you but you still have to wait on that one too. Maybe the dining reservations were an issue but the biggest problem is that Disney doesn’t explain what you get it or need to do in general. That just made her seem like a spoiled child. Yikes! Nobody cares about your tantrum lady.
you are 1000% WRONG. why do you think she is paying $600/hour. that is what a VIP tour is and its not just for celebrities. anyone can book one if you so chose to spend the money….
She paid for a VIP Tour, something anyone that has the money can do, the problem is they got a bad tour guide for half the (very expensive) tour that didn’t give them the promised experience.
If you spend $4,000 on a tour, you expect to get what you are promised, so it makes sense that she would speak up and say I didn’t get the full experience, I don’t think I should pay full price. What she does for a living has nothing to do with this other than showing she has the money to afford this.
Her tour guide doesn’t control what lines they go in, the type of VIP tour does. VIP tours have always utilized fastpass/lighting lanes. The only people who go backstage and enter through exits are the ultra recognizable celebrities. (An altogether different tour that requires management approval.) Everything else she complained about comes down to availability. I’ve been on a few tours, and it’s great when a guide can get last min reservations or can schedule meet and greets with characters, but the VIP Tour can’t guarantee those things. What is guaranteed is a dedicated tour guide that will do all the behind the scenes work to try and secure those amenities. Seems like this lady was expecting the Kardashian treatment.
I think it’s funny that some of you think a Price Is Right model is super rich. Lol. She may feel entitled because she’s on TV… but she ain’t super rich from that gig.
The real difference between her and everyone else is, when she felt she wasn’t getting what she thought she deserved, SHE CALLED HER MANAGER. How many people feel like they are not getting their money’s worth at Disneyland, but have nowhere to turn, other than Disney City Hall (good luck) Having a manager makes you feel special, regardless of what you do for a living.
Yes! That’s what I thought. Regular people get screwed a lot from Disney and we can’t complain. And I mean actually something bad happens, not just complaints.
My first cringe happened when I read that she had _her manager_ call Guest Services. (Are your hands broken? Call Guest Services yourself!) I had to repress the urge to vomit multiple times while reading the rest of the article.
Let’s review, so that we are all on the same page: A VIP tour does not guarantee that you will not have to wait in line, nor that you can enter every attraction through the exit.
It never ceases to amaze me that some guests think that they are famous and/or rich enough that the rules do not apply to them.
Wait in line? Order my own meals? Don’t y’all know me? I’m on TV!
That’s what a manager is for. They manage things. This is a customer service issue. Imagine you have someone taking 10-15% of your income to look after your affairs. Instead of calling Disney directly you have them sort it out. You’d do the same thing in a second.
As a Club 33 Member of Disney paying a small fortune to join + yearly pass holder tickets, I’ve done many Private/ back stage tours. They’re wonderful & yes, sometimes we have a short wait for a ride food but I’ve never heard any complaints & we’ve never waited more than 5 minutes to get on a ride, still ahead of the long lines.
Not sure who she thinks she is for any more Special treatment.
Good way to teach her kids how to complain till you get what you want
LOL the price is right model is so sad she didn’t get treated like a celebrity.. This is actually funny. 😂😂 I am actually shocked Disney even gave her any refund, it’s her fault she didn’t do her research prior
This is what is wrong with our world… places like Disneyland extorting everyone and treating certain people “special” because they paid for special treatment… while the common people watch from the sidelines and wait longer in lines to allow these “special” people to get on a ride before them- Disneyland treats people like cattle, their prices are extortion … I saw a video of 2 young girls hiding their 5 or 6 year old on a stroller and people were shaming them for being dishonest .. but I shame Disneyland for their high prices .. extorting common people who have to save money in order to take their kids to “the happiest place on earth” … while people who can afford to pay for special treatment add to the decay of our world.
Lmao…we go twice a year..I make a point to watch when I see those guides and groups go by..how they cater to the guest. I see alot of standing around..lol..unfortunately many are foreigners, don’t speak english..just happy to be there, those of us that know the ins and outs of the park..celebrities that use the service kinda know what to expect. Those guides need to be on their toes with them..lol..600.00 an hour seems insane to me, sorry..id rather and do..go several days, relax, take our time enjoying the ovionce and strategically plan our ride agenda..hahaha…its a skill…hahah..we don’t need a guide telling us what we can do…I have my grandchildren to do that..hahaha❤
Sounds like a bunch of jealous people here! She paid to play and deserves what she paid for. Any one of us would have done the same thing if we get shorted on our purchase…of any item or service. (High-Five for her being smart enough and pretty enough to land a cool, top-notch job! Ignore the jealous here and keep on pointing, Amber!)
P.S. I remember a show, in the winter, where she was the only model working. Everyone else was sick. She was hopping all over the stage pushing props and concentrating on the games with the rules, and did a great job! She made it look easy but it’s not. As someone wise said: “Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels.” Amber is still my favorite model!
Disney catering to the rich. Pitching for the wrong team at always. So she got back money but when you have to cancel a trip the day of for a good reason DISNEY will not refund your trip money. But this one gets her money back for a stupid special VIP tour ? WOW.
Everyone wants to get what they paid for. I get it. Sounds like Disney tried to accommodate your party. They got another guide, and she received a partial refund. Stop badmouthing Disney. Glad she can afford VIP. Heads up: a lot of us are really struggling these days.

If I paid that much for VIP and didn’t get what I paid for, damn Skippy I’d be upset. You are entitled to what you paid for.

Joe
The price is wrong BOB!! The lightning lane is fast and that’s what u get… Wow she really thought no wait all?? Know what u sign up for or stay home
Heather
Perhaps it depends on the guide you get, because that’s exactly how ours worked. We went through the exit for every ride we went on.

When they advertise that a VIP tour includes no waiting, she has every right to be upset she didn’t get what she paid for.

who do you think you are??? you stand around and point to things. and the sad thing is you make 20x’s what the guide is doing.
Jay
She pointed out what she didn’t like and will probably be awarded this time.

She paid $600 an hour to have the minimum wage guide take her around. She’s entitled to get the service she paid for.
