Disney doesn’t really want to open new rides. Opening them means staff and maintenance costs. They make more money teasing them for a decade and ultimately delivering poor experiences (Rewind).

That’s why despite constant capacity problems, instead of building new rides, Disney only replaces old rides. Usually with ones that have lower capacity.

If the parks weren’t overcapacity, they couldn’t justify the price gouging and anti-consumer practices like park reservations, virtue queues, and paid line cutting.

Disney wants you to have a bad experience if you don’t pay for all the extras. You are an unfavorable customer if you don’t pay extra on top of what you already paid. Only those shelling out 5 to 6 digits per visit are “guests” these days, and even then, only if they have the right politics.

Coming from the rube who probably owns Disney stock.

Disney wants you to have a bad experience? Yeah, sure totally makes sense.

Does anyone think that new “Tron: Identity” announced at D23 is just to REMIND us what the ride is about, after twelve years, let alone forty?

(Of course, the ones who do remember the ’82 movie don’t have to be reminded 😉 , but that’s not what the ride is sourcing.)

Let’s not forget that we have been without the WDW Railroad thanks to this insane wait for Tron.

Velocicoaster isn’t well themed. It’s a pretty built coaster which they stuck a bunch of raptor statues next to it.

What, should they have built it in a dark room with projections on the wall? 🤣

You obviously have never been through the queue or been on the ride.

You obviously have never been in the queue or rode the ride.

Honestly, Velocicoasrer was a total blurr for me – maybe because i rode it at night. Fun pre show, great thrill coaster but I couldn’t see anything after we flew!
Now Guardians, also great pre show and loved the ride and music which changes so the next time you ride it is different – my new fav with Hagrid close behind.

Absolutely ridiculous! When that idiot Josh Dmaro stands up there on the stage showing video footage of him and his colleagues up on the ride flying through the air all happy and smiling as if there’s not much left to be done with it! looks like it’s pretty much ready to be open iexcept for a few things here and there and then announces oh sorry it’s not opening till spring… but watch a video with me getting to ride this right now because it’s perfectly safe too and can easily be opened in a few weeks but not for you peasants! were just gonna make you wait until spring! why? because we can! Not even a date in Spring!! Spring starts in March and literally goes until June so they can’t even give us a damn date? Really? Idiots run Disney! At least give us the train back!

Disney has never been about big roller coasters. It’s never been their thing.
