we were at WDW during hurricane matthew………We missed 2 days of the parks but honestly had no problems at all….. We had tickets for the halloween party the day the storm hit, but Disney let us change them to two days before the storm ………Glad we did have some drinks and snack foods with us, ( we drove there) because the food court at POP only had boxed lunches and honestly I thought the price was too much…………..a neighbor family had brought no food with them and we shared what we had with them………Luckily Matthew wasnt as bad as Irma and the day after we were allowed to go to Disney Springs to walk around and get a meal. It really wasnt bad at all, and if we were like most families in the middle of our visit we really needed a little rest to give us energy back to finish our vacation
We were there during 2 hurricanes one we rode out missed 1 day at park had no issues. The other one we left 2 days early due to fact we drove from penna. And our route on I95 was flooding out. All and all felt very safe and secure.
I already have plans to be at WDW Resort in November, camping at the Fort Wilderness Resort, in a pop tent and thinking if I should bring a Ham Radio just in case for emergence communications?
Hurricane season ends before then. If a hurricane is projected to hit WDW the campground gets evacuated. Guests can either leave the area or take the hotel they get assigned to. You will not be allowed to stay in the campground.
Actually hurricane season is from 1 June to 30 November every year so if he plans on camping in November then technically it is still hurricane season although it is slim a storm hit that late but it is possible.
How are you going to claim a prediction like this? By the nature of the definition prediction, it is unknown, they are guessing. They do not even know where a hurricane path will go, that is why the cone of probability is so large.
Still making everything about politics Steve?? Hope you’re riding it out buddy! Don’t evacuate like the Florida officials are strongly suggesting.. That’s just all “politics”! In fact, the closer you get to the hurricane, the better.
