Don’t do it! I would take Boo To You over MNSSHP any day! We did Boo last year. Lighter crowds, periodic cavalcades throughout the entire evening rather than all at once, sittings of characters throughout the park, you didn’t have to wait in line forever for Halloween snacks and drinks. It was very festive, but not chaotic. We did MNSSHP this year, Sept 9th and it was absolutely terrible. I’m talking shoulder to shoulder people in the entire park. Pirates had over 45 minute wait! That ride rarely gets over 30 on normal days! How is it that nuts on a limited ticket event? Trick or treat lines spanned past several attractions. I felt bad for the families wasting their time in those lines for a bit of candy. We got a good spot for the parade in advance, and “adopted” 5 different family of kids, inviting them to come sit in front of us at the road because they wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. We joked that we were the designated kid area. And adults still tried to squeeze in there with the kids and we had to usher them off! The parents of all the kids thanked us for making their kids night. Adults pushing past kids in a kids park! I was flabbergasted! I will never do MNSSHP again.

I was there the same night and it was not wall to wall people. Lines went quickly and we had a great time.

You must live in the city and are used to heavy crowds then, because that was not our experience. It was night and day difference from Boo to You last year. It was wall to wall crowds in front of the castle for the parades and shows. I couldn’t even see Main Street from the castle through the crowds. It was shoulder to shoulder walking to Pirates after the fireworks as well. If you were just going on rides, (and not the ones themed for the party), I can see why it might not have seemed bad. But all the party event areas were chaos. One line for candy stretched from Carousel of Progress all the way over past Space Mountain. The last hour wasn’t bad, but 9-11 was terrible. The only area that wasn’t too bad was Frontierland.

Not a fan was too crowded and am not enjoying all this reservation nonsense. I want to go on vacation and not on a time schedule. Don’t want to be held hostage to my phone.

We were there on the 12th, so done with Disney. MNSSHP- crowds were horrible, Pirates was down ALL night, so disappointed. Also seemed like hardly any rides were opened. We used to get so much candy, even though we went through every line. And going in and out of queue lines for candy is ridiculous. And what they gave out, mostly got Snickers and starbursts, few others but 1 twix, I bag of m and M’s. They could have more variety.

Sorry I was there on the 13th. Only good thing it didn’t rain and the parade.
