From what I saw from Cast Members who were to work at the resort and re-open the parks, on a youtube vlog – Disney gave CMs all hotel rooms in the Contemporary while paying them around the clock the entire time. And they were fed in the ballrooms away from the hotel guests. I was extremely, pleasantly surprised to see that Disney was treating the CM’s this well. They need to take great care of them all year round too.

Uh, yeah — businesses need to be open. I’m sure those folks who need to stay home due to hurricane-related issues can do so. These people who get a “voice” on Twitter should be shrugged off like the meaningless trolls that they are. Life goes on. Disney doesn’t have to stay closed for a week just to coddle their employees. People aren’t as fragile as the “everybody-gets-a-trophy” crowd wants us to think. It’s called WORK people — it’s a fact of life. Companies don’t answer to their employees — it’s the other way around!

I went they hurricane Michael, and my business opened under dire circumstances. While I know people need things opened back up, it was stressful for the workers. You had problems with your homes and insurance that you couldn’t address. We literally ran things off generators and wi-fi hot spots for weeks.

Was the beautiful blue sky, low 80’s with no Humidity too dangerous for them?
