That is a nice positive response by Disney. I hope this continues moving forward.

Sorry but the perk is meaningless if you can’t get the park reservation you need 2 days in advance. I hope there are enough reservations spots open to accommodate everyone in this. What good is extending the ticket if the reservations are all booked up?

This goes to show that some of you didn’t read the whole article 🤦🏽‍♀️ The tickets are extended until September 2023. They have a whole year to use them

A lot of people can’t afford to just go back later on though. And calling this a huge perk when it’s the least they can do is a bit much. I feel like they should offer the option for a refund of the difference in ticket price for number of days if people aren’t able to use them.

When I read huge perk… I thought maybe they would have gotten their room for free for the days the parks are closed. Extending the expiration dates of the tickets is what they should do without calling but a perk! Come on Disney or shall I say Chapek, stop being so damn greedy! And having to pay for the boxed/ to go breakfasts… that’s a joke.. thise should be free for these people who have to be stuck in their rooms!

It is nice but to a degree, Disney knows that maybe 10 to 14% of the people there will take advantage of it. Lets face it, it is slow this time of year and toss in that the large majority of these people are from out of state. It will take mare than a year for most to be able to save up to come back as the prices are so high with no sign of lowering. This wont cost Disney that much.

How is this a huge perk??? Most people visiting the park have traveled to get there and cannot extend their vacation by two additional days. Those that can extend will have to purchase two extra nights at a hotel (if there is even availability to do so). It’s not WDW’s fault that there is a hurricane but if the park closes, people with tickets should be entitled to a refund.

    1. They get extended for a year, September 2023

When I was there for Hurricane Matthew they refunded us the unused park tickets. Now they did not do this automatically. We had to go to the front desk and request the refund.
