“On Thursday, TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz said that almost every single gun that was confiscated was fully loaded, and had its ammunition chambered as well. Simply put, each one could have caused irreparable damage in the wrong hands or in the event of an accident involving an unintended discharge.”

There have only been two unintended discharges in Florida airports. Both were caused by law enforcement officers trying to clear unfamiliar weapons.

I don’t understand. How can someone fly into Orlando with a firearm unnoticed? Every airport has security that every flyer has to pass through. Once on an airplane no one checks after that. So where are these firearms being found? This article doesn’t make sense.

      1. nyc chris

Read it again. It’s all there.

  2. Kim

    The liberal fear mongering spin.

    1. Jayne1955

Are you old enough to remember when plane hijackings were common? Because I am.

      1. Sarah sturn

And the spin was trying to claim Florida is worse and ignores that other states were far worse. Over 5,972 were found at US airports and 86 or 88% were fully loaded.

      2. NavyGirl

I also remember. Those were terrifying times.

What a stupid article…oh no guns in a state that allows it. Way to jump on the liberal agenda with this uneducated article. Are the people carrying criminals or actual law-abiding citizens who carried…umm no facts

    1. It’s not “no guns in a state that allows it”, it’s “NO GUNS IN THE AIRPORT because of federal laws.” If you can’t understand that then perhaps you ARE laughable.

      1. Lorraine

        Thank you! I agree.

      2. Cam Rodgers

What really didn’t make sense about the article is how did these people get on a plane and fly here without their firearm being discovered?

        1. Steve

Lol seen this comment of yours twice… they aren’t landing in Florida with their guns… they are arriving to the airport for an outbound flight with their guns.

The guns can’t be in a carry on bag, and you can’t carry in any capacity in the airport either. Guns gotta be in the checked bag, in a hard shell case!

        2. nyc chris

Did you read the article? Haven’t you ever flown, and had gone through the process of checking bags, then going through a security checkpoint?

        3. Tim

These people are going thru security before boarding there planes, no one goes thru security after landing

        👍👏👏👏

Everything to you MAGA’s is “Liberal Agenda”. Fact for you: it wasn’t Liberals the Incited the January 6 Insurrection, it was a MAGA President. It wasn’t a Libersl President that Stole Top Secret Classified Documents including Nuclear Weapons Technology when he left Office it was a MAGA President. It’s MAGAs that are attempting to destroy our Constitution & Democracy not Liberals.

      1. Eve

        Yes!!!

      2. James

Lmfao Libtards attempt to destroy this country and the Constitution on a daily basis. Antifa liberals and such are a major problem. The insurrection was by a handful of fools, oh and the timeline of his speech and when these fools entered the Capitol has already been proven that it didn’t sync up and those at his speech wouldn’t of made it over to the Capitol in time to coincide with those that entered. But you lefties are the ones that have repeatedly attacked the Police, Federal Marshalls, attacked Police stations, Federal courthouses etc. The right isn’t doing that. And as for the so called Top Secret documents, if they were so classified and secret why did it take the Feds 2 years to go get them and then post pictures of them on social media, yeah real secret. You lefties believe everything CNN and MSNBC throw at you, don’t ya. Liberals are killing cities and states as well by letting criminals run rampant with BS bail reform’s. We would be way better off with you lefties

        1. Deb

Oh James. Oh James, James, James. Your willful ignorance is pathetic and remember -you can’t take a loaded gun on a passenger plane!!

    4. NavyGirl

What a stupid comment.you just don’t ‘get it’ perhaps you will when a family member adult or child become a victim of deadly gun violence. Maybe your lesson is approaching soon.

  4. Todd Reece

Trying to take a firearm on an airplane in carry on luggage is stupid, plus most are chambered….. put these people on “no fly” list plus a hefty fine.

  5. Sarah Sturn

Dont make this about Florida! 5,972 guns were siezed at airports and 86% loaded across all US airports. Maybe writer seems to have politics over news isdues.

    1. Manny

There is a reason they call it Floriduh. This state is none for a lot of top ten lists that are not anything to brag about. This is not about a liberal agenda.

You can travel with a firearm but it cannot be loaded in your checked luggage. These asshats think the second amendment allows them to do as they please. Raise the fine and add mandatory sentencing. This is a Federal offense so the Florida legislature and the Governor can go pound sand.

    2. Moon

These Florida gun toting citizens also claim they are all law abiding so yes this needs to be in the news.

      1. nyc chris

You keep harping on “These Florida gun toting citizens.” We are discussing airports, many of which are international. How do you know that these people are only from Florida?

    3. Deb

This is a Disney publication Sarah. Disney World is in Florida. The point of the article is the impact on Florida theme parks. You’re crying to the wrong corporation.

  6. Moon

Thought all those gun toting freaks were all law abiding citizens? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Guess not.. also need to stop selling semi-automatic gun sales as they are really not necessary in the hands of the general public!

    1. nyc chris

What makes you think that the people trying to bring a gun on board were the law abiding kind? They could’ve been criminals.
What if a law abiding citizen simply forgot to check their gun in?

    2. Walt

hahahahah semi-automatic – do you ecven know what that means. Little detail you don’t understand….IT IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO OWN A FIREARM – to protect oneself from an over reaching governmnent. Perhaps read some history – and not th revisionist type. And before it comes up…. our society is changed – yes why is that? If everything the liberals teach is all realtive and there is no right and wrong – so anything goes – don’t be surprised when you get chaos.

  7. nyc chris

If no one has been killed by these firearms, how can it be called a ‘Deadly Trend”?

  8. Tim C

It tells me that these Floridians aren’t real bright.

  9. Mason

This isn’t a deadly trend. If you want deadly trends look at smoking and Tik Tok. Whoever wrote this is obviously a big liberal.

    1. Steve

If you want a deadly trend, look at leftism. We had two years of lockdosns that led to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths for a flu. Two years of anti-white pogroms fully endorsed by the left.

      Don’t ban guns, ban leftists.

  10. Mark

Patriot One technology could elevate this problem instantly and at minimal cost. Take a look.

  11. Mike G

    You stay classy Florida 👌🏼

  12. Good Dog Blue

If you’ll re-read the article, you’ll see that NONE of the guns made it onto a flight. They were detected in pre-flight screening. What say we ban alcohol on all flights since that seems to be the accelerant for violence these days.

  13. Bob marsh

I fly frequently with my firearm. Just declare it, show the agent it is unloaded with magazine out, lock the case and u are done. Not hard or unreasonable.
