We had annual passes to Disneyland beginning in 2008 for 5 years. At that time, the hula girls were hit or miss on It’s A Small World which we rode every trip because it was one of my favorite rides. The hula girls seem like one of the only dolls that constantly go down on It’s A Small World and it has been that way for a long time.
Plenty. Namely: last time I rode a couple of the hula girls and all of the little Russian girl dancers were missing. And the Balinese shadow goddess? Motionless.
Guess something major has to happen for them to make minor repairs- like the closure for Small World Holiday.
Fully expecting the attraction to close for an extended refurb after the Holiday overlay comes down. And if it’s not this year, surely it’d be next year…? Lots could use some freshening up, and some of these things have not been addressed during the month the ride is transformed.
That being said, the dancers are always breaking down. The shaking isn’t too kind to the animatronics, and only god knows how old they are.

The only version of this ride that expresses Walt’s vision of it is at Disneyland. The MK version has always seemed in disrepair in comparison.

Owners of Disney price gouging is more their concern than fixing up the park
