The statement that “everything but the first six movies and The Clone Wars is considered non-canon and is dubbed ‘Star Wars Legends’,” isn’t true and wasn’t at the time of the 2016 release either. While the old EU lately became Legends or offered inspiration to canon, any shows, comics, books, and movies produced under Disney’s supervision (with a few notable exceptions, like the Visions anthology) have canon since their release.

I’m more worried that they won’t follow Thrawn’s books than Ahsoka’s. Ahsoka was pretty short and there wasn’t a whole lot to retcon.

They have already changed several parts of Ahsoka’s story from the novel. The siege of Mandalore is a bit different in the Clone Wars season 7. So long as the changes are small and improve upon her story, it will be just fine.

This article has a major error. Ahsoka is Togruta. Yoda, Yaddle and Grogu are an unidentified species. I’m seriously shocked this was left in the article.

I noticed that and immediately stopped reading, in no way shape or form is she the same species as Yoda the writer would of known that if he just looked at there Wikipedia page

“will “de-canonize” established Star Wars history involving the character of Yaddle, a Jedi who is the same species as Yoda and Grogu, and Ahsoka Tano”

Read it again. It makes sense

The writer even refers to Ahsoka as Togruta elsewhere in the article

If decannonizing an entire trilogy of Star Wars books makes three seconds of a Star Wars show 1% better they should do it without hesitation. It’s like a tree falling in the woods. The audience for the shows is gigantic. The audience for the books is a couple Andrews, a Matthew, and maybe a Garrett.

Star Wars has been de-canonized ever since Disney acquired it from George Lucas. Episode VII got the axe swinging on that and they haven’t stopped chopping yet.

  7. Brandon

No. It doesn’t de-canonize anything. Everything involving Disney or Kathleen Kennedy is non-canon. Simple.
