My feet were underwater on Splash Mountain at Disneyland on July 1 this year. I do not know how the logs are supposed to drain but they were not and no compensation was offed,
Same! It had been awhile since I’ve been on the ride. But I never remember water staying inside the vehicle. Thankfully I had flip flops, but the family in front of me was pissed they had water-logged shoes.
The logs are supposed to have drain holes but when it’s overcrowded and they speed up the water jets they tend to go through that splash more often than they can drain the water therefore creating a scene or creating a sinking issue. The main reason I don’t go on splash bound is because sometimes there’s wathere’s water where your feet go and I just happened to be wearing a good pair of shoes I don’t want to destroy.. Durrung referb I am sure they will also look into thus issue if not create new logs to enjoy.
My bad I said splash mountain using talk to text but but I’m also trying to be on the quieter side as I have people sleeping for some reason talk to text put splash bound
You have a good thought about intentionally sinking the logs on Splash Mountain. Too many things going wrong since Chapek started running (ruining) things. The whole situation is not to be trusted.
That’s actually a curious thought. I’m normally not one for conspiracy theories but if they want to have an excuse to close it and refurb like Disneyland’s (becoming Princess & the Frog) themed, that seems like a good way to do it and dampen (haha puns) the effects of closure.
“Oh so many issues! We gotta close it now and fix the logs and oh hey might as well refurb while we’re at it!” Lol
In a sense, that’s exactly what they’re doing. Last time I was there was 2018 and I live about an hour away from the parks. It’s not just Splash Mountain, every single ride in the Parks is in bad condition. Every other ride my husband and I went on broke down. I recently found out they pulled a permit to build affordable housing on the property. They’re going to keep running the parks the same way until they’re through milking it for money.
Anyone who ride Splash Mountain and expects not to get wet is just kidding themselves. Wet feee, shirt, etc., should be expected. Why do you think they call it Splash Mountain?
Does anyone realize that splash mountain is a water slide. Regardless if there’s water inside the log you are going yo get wet. Stop this bellie aching about getting wet when you’re on a “water slide” if you don’t want yo get wet than here’s a novel idea…”DON’T GET ON THE WATTER SLIDE”

Well I live 2 hours from the WDW, have an annual pass, go at least twice a month and have never been on a ride that broke down. Nor would I expect that it would never happen. Law of averages. I don’t like they way Chapek is running the company but apparently the stock holders do. So as long as I can drive I will continue to go to my “happy place”

I am wondering if they are making them sink just so they can close the ride without announcing closure so there is no rush. Just my thought

This is on purpose so they can claim they HAVE to replace the ride.
Me
Yep, all these snowflakes complaining it’s racist. They have been talking about getting rid of it for years.
Mason
What if Disney is purposely making them sink? Since it is getting obvious.

They are. Thus didn’t happen until Bob took over and the agenda came into play. Suddenly, boats sinking every other day.
BobbyCee
Wet feet, not “wet feee”. Sorry about posting without proof read. 🥺
Joseph
See, even Splash Mountain is rebelling against the change. Keep giving Disney hell fo trying to make you go away.

What do they mean, “sinking”?
Ariana
That is why when I go to parks, I always where clothes to get wet and sandals too.
