Our entire family got norovirus on a trip to WDW once. The day after using the pool. It was awful, worse than Covid. It felt like our stomachs were twisting up. Lost 5 lbs in 24 hours and missed two parks since we were all sick in our room. Now on vacations we won’t go in any water that babies/toddlers are allowed. They really should require non potty trained kids to use kiddie specific pools only at resorts, hotels and theme parks. With Covid we all had to wear masks in public, but there is no regulation for someone’s 2 year old in a “swim diaper” using the general pool and pooping in it. Gross.
I could not agree more. This is the exact reason why I do not go to ponds or lakes and typically won’t swim in a public swimming pool or go to water parks. 🤢🤮 literally!
Bob…. People Wear there mask in the car most the time because they are delivering food or do uber type jobs. Now there’s nother wrong with being Considerate. Even then some people care about there family with family members who have health problems amd are very high risk to death because they have a weak immune system. Now I hope you understand.
Parents need to either keep their nasty little kids out of the water or make sure they are t crapping in the water. If I got sick because some idiot let their kid crap in the water I would sue their ass off. That’s so disgusting and kids should have to be in a separate area than adults.
You are absolutely delusional for thinking that a pool that doesn’t have kids crapping in it will be clean. There are adults who pee and poo in the pool too smh.
The truth is you are bathing with strangers that probably aren’t as clean aware as you are. Your face, head and every part of your body is ‘with them.’ The question is how can you minister someone properly washing every part of their body before jumping in. The o my way to be safe is privately having your own water entertainment feature.

You’re bogus as hell. No way you should have allowed them to get in that water if you knew they were incontinent but in denial. You’re just as culpable for knowing and allowing it to happen
Places need to disinfect better and that would solve the problem. The issue with banning children of certain ages from water parks or parts of the water park is what about parents of multiple children? Then as soon as you have two or three kids you can’t go to water parks anymore. I agree there needs to be a solution but banning kids at any length isn’t it. Just like it was ridiculous with covid to make two year olds wear masks. Anyone with a two year old knows they won’t keep it on at all or won’t be able to keep it on right. It just made parents banned from leaving the house.
IME parents dont want to put their young freshly potty trained children in swim diapers because “It will break their spirit” and “They know to ask/tell.” Oh my sweet summer child. When a little kid is having fun, the won’t want to interrupt it to use the bathroom. I raised two kids, I KNOW this.
If a kid is old enough to be potty trained they are old enough to be told “Pool rules say..” and if they refuse, leave the park. Kid doesn’t want to follow the rules to keep the pool clean they go home. But parents have a hard time saying and enforcing the word no
Absolutely right. Babies and toddlers should NOT be anywhere near an adult pool undef any circumstance. They pee and poop at will and that is just nasty. Keep them in the kiddy pool!
I am always leary if using public toilets, especially in restaurants. Men, I particular, just can’t seem to aim at all. They pee all over the restroom and NEVER clean up after themselves.
For some years now, I have been cleaning myself with moist cleansing wipes after normal wiping. But I do agree with those people who put the blame on parents who insist on putting their toddler in a public pool. This should just not be allowed. However, in today’s world, the venue is going to be sued for discrimination. But I bet there are a lot of pre-teens, teens and adults who pee in the pool.
Right, keep them in the kiddie pool, so only all the kiddies get sick? Don’t you realize that all water from various attractions at the park get routed through the same treatment facility?
Actually it is the theme parks responsibility for the health and safety for all of their patrons. A posted sign stating anyone bringing on potty trained children into the water shall be fined.
You can’t legally fine people. All you can do is post the “requirement”, and people do what they want. Then people leave angry comments when the pool is closed for unexpected cleaning. It is done to get the chemicals back in balance to keep people safe, but they just want to complain.
Our last 2 visits to the pool we were evacuated because a toddler pooped in their swim diaper and it leaked. It was lucky for us we just got there and had paid only to be turned back around. We could have waited an hour but we just left. After the 2nd time we never returned.
Realistically, this seems problematic for water parks to enforce. The posted signs are there for release of liability purposes.
Should anyone sue the water park, a representative will note that there are posted signs. Now if enough people report that they became ill, then adequate measures weren’t taken. Unfortunately, the inconsiderate people ruin the experience for everyone.
You must be one of those filthy people that wipes his turd shute with your hands and then eats a sammich while calling other people nasty for using proper hygiene practices.
That’s so nasty that people don’t shower daily or at least a couple of times a day. I like to smell and feel clean. As soon as I got out and come home, especially in this summer heat, I’m taking a shower. Using the bathroom, eff a bidet, I’m washing my behind. How do you not do this especially being in an active sexual relationship. Like wash your behind!!
Ohh wow.. ok let’s just ban water parks. If you believe it’s all there fault and not the individual then our country can’t survive. What I was is stop blaming everyone. If your not willing to take that chance then stay home. In my opinion it’s adults that are worse. I’m about to say something most people won’t say. Today there are alot more fat people that find it hard to clean themselves so they go to places like that and use it as a means to get clean. Ok ok buts it’s true lol
You are 100% right. I have noticed so many obese people smell really bad. Everyone, especially fat people, should own a bidet, or at least shower after going to the bathroom, or both. Being clean is a good thing so I have no idea how some people don’t seem to mind being filthy.
That is because some people who are overweight carry smell in their fat folds. And it’s not to be funny, they have to shower daily, or more, dry properly, and keep their skin moisturized. It’s not all obese people, because skinny people who don’t shower stink in those same creases of their body.
Yep its hard for some overweight people to reach certain parts of there body. Its no doubt. Thats why I installed a spray wand on my shower for under body care, I can still reach every area. But a nice warm backside rince with clean water is far better then trying to redirect shower head water to locations below the belt line. The upward spray rinses your backside off, if you don’t get all the soap off it will cause your skin to peel and give you a rash.
Yes I’m on the heavy side I took my doctor’s advice and went on a diet, then gained it all back and a lot more.
My weight had been the same no matter what I ate for 30 years. Untill I did his stupid diet and screwed up my metabolism
Unless your going to eat grass the rest of your life ignor diets.
People have eaten a healthy diet of everything for 1000s of years it the prossed foods that make you fat, diet pop is worse then just plain suger drinks and now most American bottling combines use corn fractious insted of suger but its really bad for you.
I lived in Europe 10 yrs. They have bidets everywhere and all you get is a wet behind. In France they still use paper to dry off after using a bidet. Bidets DO NOT get stool off of your skin. You still need to wipe. Get over it.
That is one reason I will only use one body of water and that is the ocean and that is getting scary too with that brain eating disease. I have a park pool right below my house and won’t go near it. Kids and adults are not trained it seems.
I wonder if those same parents bringing their baby with feces in their diaper would allow someone to do that at their own pupil.. so gross who wants to swim with pee and poo.. and we all know water gets in not only your face but also mouth!!! Something needs to change.. either a designated area for only babies or don’t allow it.. the fact that they can just crap in any pool is disgusting!
You think people are gross for using toilet paper? Just because you cant reach your gerbil tube and need to have someone clean your gerbil tube with a garden hose doesn’t make other people gross cupcake
The thing about rain and the ocean is that constantly moving bodies of water have self-cleaning ability. A stagnant pool doesn’t- that’s why they have to use so many chemicals to kill off whatever we track in before it spreads around.
Thankfully my plate is usually too full to even go for a swim in the summer. So to cool off on a hot day, I stick to going to one of those shallow(up to 1 to 1.5-in. of water) splash grounds.
Kids pee that’s what they do . I’m sure many adults under adult beverages relieve themselves in the same way . Remember the myth that if you pee in the pool that a dye ?
Well what do you guy’s think where I lived they haven’t changed the water for 28 years they think pouring there chlorine cleaners going clean that poop 💩 water smells so gross slimy nasty thick water. I’ll never go to a water park the river more cleaner.
It’s disgusting & so unsanitary. All these kids in the water with diapers pooping/peeing in them. Yuuuck. That’s why I quit swimming in public lakes, etc. 😫🤨 The parents know better.
This is a bit easy to respond. When going in a water slide, the pressure of the water on your anus going down is such that it gets into your rectum. So when you get up after your fun adventure, you shart the water you just took in. This is why I never returned to any water park. To make it worse, I had diarrea. So It was an experience to remember.
What do people expect ?!! They let babies & toddlers in diapers get in. Of course their going to pee and sh.. !!
Gross for sure ! I once told a lady to take her infant in diaper out of our area 5ft and go on the kiddie side where that baby belonged..
She left tg !
Why do you insist on using Disney photos for every story?
It is bad enough that the first 2 paragraphs are always fluff and skipable, but every time something happens at a theme park, use use pics of Disney parks, when the story has nothing to do with Disney. I know the pics say Courtesy Disney, but if I were them, I would ban yoi from associating their parks with every random story you can find. ps, the large adds that keep popping up and covering this message field are awesome too. 👌

(As much as I hate to interrupt the fascinating debate on obesity, cleanliness & gerbiling, I have a comment actually related to the article in question, so here goes nothing!) I once visited the Splashing Safari Water Park inside of Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN. In order to get to the good stuff in the water park, you have to pass through kiddie land. While passing one of the more popular pools for really tiny kids, I noticed that the water lapping at the shallows was tinged yellow. Thinking it was just my sunglasses making it look this way, I removed them. To my disgust & horror, the water was actually more yellow than blue! Unless it’s the latest theme park fashion trend to dye pool waters a sickly yellow color, then I can only think of one more plausible explanation for the hue of the water: frequent daily urination by hundreds of children. After seeing this, I decided to suffer through the heat of the day without cooling off in the water park. If the park can’t bother to change the water out in a 20 x 20 x 2 ft. sized kiddie pool when it turns yellow from piss, then chances are they NEVER change it out for their bigger attractions. I’m not partial to swimming in my own urine, much less someone else’s, so no freaking thank you! (And now, back to the growing problem of obese gerbils in America!)
I think what you may be seeing the iron content in the water. Usually in a kiddy pool or a splash pool, because of evaporation, the chlorine levels will be run a little bit higher than a normal pool. This causes the iron in the water to rust. This causes staining if the pools surface. I turn, it looks as if the water is yellow.
I am 56 years old and lived at our community pool every summer and atleast once a day someone would poop or get sick in the pool not 1 time did any of us ever get sick I grew up playing in creeks we played in flooded streets after a good rain never got sick.. I came from a generation where we played outside and if you got thirsty you drank from the water hose not some $4 bottle of water and never got sick… do you see where I’m going with my post ???? Sorry but today’s world is a bunch of sissys I truly believe that alot of these diseases are man made and caused by all the chemicals used to supposedly protect us think about it …
AMEN!!! I often wondered about that. I’m 38 and grew up in the country where we drank out of hoses, ate wild berries without washing them, and swam in pools. I’m not a big fan of swimming in pools now, but how DID we (referring to you and me) never get sick despite the SAME incidents happening today???? I always said that it’s a version of biological genocide.
The article said 27 people fell. I think they became ill, not literally fell down.
Also, what’s the name of the park? Where did the poop come from? Birds?
How is it that you only HIGHLIGHT OTHER THEME PARKS AND Tanganyika Falls Splash Park in Goddard, Kansas. NOT ? WHY EVEN BRING UP OTHER THEME PARKS IN THE BEGINNING OF ALL THIS ? IM SURE NO ONE WANTS THEIR BUSINESS NEXT TO A BAD WATERPARK.
You millennials or whatever you are, are pathetic. First this is an old story but in your small mind, it’s news. You also think TikTok and the Kardashians are normal. It’s not. You’re a bunch of whiners. We didn’t cry like this. I grew up going to water parks especially in WDW. We knew about the risks but didn’t cry about it. I hope this site gets hacked and brought down.
This is why I will never go to a water park, even a hotel pool or public pool. They are basically huge unflushed toilets. Some people today really have zero sense of hygiene and ruin places like this for everyone..
Unfortunately this happens and people don’t really care or have any kind of consideration for others.
This is why I recommend avoiding water parks in general, you are better off wading in a sewer run off.
That thought has always entered my mind whenever I visit a water park with family. So many people in the water and a lot of kids that can’t hold it in. It is really disgusting when you think about all that goes in the water. I can’t even go into the swimming pool with a lot of people in it. In fact I stay away from water parks and swimming pools
I worked in two retail stores in Md. 1. A mother told her child to poop behind a pole in the store. 2. The women’s fitting rooms had poop and pee on carpeting. Columbia MD.
In Europe the often observed feature is a large screen visible to all. On the screen, the live data stream about the water quality is displayed, real-time. Including the man-made chemicals and possible bio contaminant monitoring. Plus temperature, salinity, ph, etc – at every moment, with the outside weather updates and the facility’s map and features. Why not implement the same as a standard feature, not only in resorts and hotels, but in any public water facility (park, pool, sauna, hotel)? Also there are reports in the press of terrible swabs of cultures from water fountains. Why not monitor these as well? Another option is an inaccesible directly, enclosed water fountain, which fills up and closes disposable bottles to pick up, like a free of charge wending machine.
“Free of charge” is unAmerican lol. The screens are actually a great idea, though I doubt anywhere here will implement it without being forced as that would mean they couldn’t cut corners and save costs with substandard hygiene. Not to mention the costs of constant data monitoring, keeping the screens up and running, equipment maintenance, etc.
You have a few typos in this post. For example, the word “parks” was spelled “pakrs” in the second paragraph where you named big resorts. Also missing a few commas at certain points. You could hire someone like me to proof these news articles before posting them to your site. Feel free to email me!
That’s great. I, too, tend to notice grammatical and spelling errors whenever combing over articles and comments. My personal favorites are “your” in place of “you’re” (& vice versa),, and possessive apostrophes used on plural nouns. Very nasty stuff.
Did a job in hip deep raw sewage wearing fishing waders. Sweat shirt and skin still got soaked. Didn’t get sick from that. I guess my immune is bullet proof
That’s the thing about outbreaks- they’re not there until they are. Most people are fine- no norovirus, no shigella, so wadding in their crap is fine, though not recommended. But it just takes one person to drink some muddy runoff after a rain then go to a public pool or public toilet that never gets cleaned and boom!
Yes, folks, you literally ate sh!t. Anybody that would want to play in a confined volume of water, where countless nasty-a$$ people pi$$ and sh!t all day long, shouldn’t be surprised when they fall ill.
That’s great. I, too, tend to notice grammatical and spelling errors whenever combing over articles and comments. My personal favorites are “your” in place of “you’re” (& vice versa),, and possessive apostrophes used on plural nouns. Very nasty stuff.
Yippee!! HOORAY!!!
HOORAY for dirty pp poo poo potty water in the mouth!
Also, to the Eur0 trash who is acting all high & mighty about his wet a$$ because of the use of the bidet all I can say & what should be obvious is that every culture has their clean & hygienic ones as well as their dirty diseased & filthy. Most, not all, European countries seem to have a lax attitude towards DISGUSTING sex practices & lifestyles that make the US standards seem only to be a bit naughty in comparison.
So shut your filthy Eur0 trash mouth & enjoy getting your @$$ filled with liquid over there bub!😁
Personally, I only poop at car washes that have those big soapy brushes and pressure washers. I don’t know how the rest of the world does it but it seems like that’s the only way these people think they can get clean after dropping a deuce. If your bidet doesn’t shoot foamy soap and doesn’t have a psi over 85 I don’t want to heat them say they’re cleaner. Come talk to me when the water pressure leaves burn marks. It’s the only way to get clean and at $3 a poop I’m getting away pretty cheap considering how expensive it would be to put indoor plumbing in my house.
Sidenote… I wash my hands before I pee and not after cuz my peeing tool is cleaner than my hands and I’m not trying to get it all dirty by touching it with unwashed hands. That’s just disgusting. And no, I don’t pee on my hands so why would I need to wash the cleanliness off myself?
I stopped goin in waterparks many manny years ago.. Also don’t do crowded beaches. I think it was at Hershey water park i saw some little kid in the pool with a diaper on and he was packin heavy.
Euuuuuuu
WHY ARE THE WATER PARKS NOT USING DISINFECTANT. TO HELP PREVENT SOME OF THESE OUTBREAKS . AND SOME PEOPLE JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO WASH THAT ASS. TO KEEP OTHERS FROM GETTING CONTAMINATED
Absolutely disgusting and nasty. People pay a lot of money to go and enjoy themselves a long with their families. They don’t pay these high prices to go get sick. Covid is bad enough, much less going to a theme park and catching a nasty disease from filth. How much effort does it take to keep things sanitized.
What is this a stub article? I get two paragraphs that end with not one iota of information or follow up from the title of the story, just “A day of Fun in the Sun at a water park”.
This article needs to make like a tree and leave…
The pools at Disney are disgusting. One of my least favorite Disney memories is of watching a huge, overweight black mama sitting on the steps of the Disney hotel pool, legs spread eagle, splashing water up into her coochie. I was a young teen when I witnessed that and have never felt the same about pools anywhere, period.
I was cautious when Covid first appeared. I also had a spouse, HAD a spouse who had preexisting conditions.
Joke, make fun of people who take precaution. If it’s alone or around others. But first watch your partner being able to spend time, laugh and joke with you, die in 3 days. To the point limbs are deteriorating, heart is so chemically imbalanced, from readings that are supposed to be from 70 to 120. Are coming back reading 32,000. The baterial growth is spreading so fast, doctors can’t get samples fast enough before the dishes are exploding with growth. Then learn it entered the body through the nose and mouth. Now tell me you wouldn’t oppose taking precautions.
These strands can damage in a way they could end you. Believe me, you don’t want to see your loved one go through this or have them see you die in such a way.
I hate to pull out George Carlin on everyone, but you know how we used to manage to not get sick from germs? Exposure to germs over time as we grew up. Now, not properly filtering the water is unacceptable at a water park don’t get me wrong. But sheltering everyone from every possible germ is also sheltering everyone from building up their immune system.

Today there are alot more fat people that find it hard to clean themselves so they go to places like that and use it as a means to get clean. Ok ok buts it’s true lol
Pamela
Huh??? So I’m guessing that you’re one those ‘fat people’ that does this…what a pig !
SamanthaSamantha
You are 100% right. I have noticed so many obese people smell really bad. Everyone, especially fat people, should own a bidet, or at least shower after going to the bathroom, or both. Being clean is a good thing so I have no idea how some people don’t seem to mind being filthy.
MR
That is because some people who are overweight carry smell in their fat folds. And it’s not to be funny, they have to shower daily, or more, dry properly, and keep their skin moisturized. It’s not all obese people, because skinny people who don’t shower stink in those same creases of their body.
Jack
There’s also more people now who slept through English classes.
Bobbg
LoveJones
Lmao, someone’s been binging watching 600lb life! 🤣
.Suzanne Taylor
What a STUPID comment!!
Rebecca Anderson
I lived in Europe 10 yrs. They have bidets everywhere and all you get is a wet behind. In France they still use paper to dry off after using a bidet. Bidets DO NOT get stool off of your skin. You still need to wipe. Get over it.
Greg
That is one reason I will only use one body of water and that is the ocean and that is getting scary too with that brain eating disease. I have a park pool right below my house and won’t go near it. Kids and adults are not trained it seems.
KV
It’s not a “disease”. Google amoeba. It’s a single celled organism.
Laura
The brain eating amoeba isn’t found in salt water, so you’re safe in the ocean.
Kelley
I wonder if those same parents bringing their baby with feces in their diaper would allow someone to do that at their own pupil.. so gross who wants to swim with pee and poo.. and we all know water gets in not only your face but also mouth!!! Something needs to change.. either a designated area for only babies or don’t allow it.. the fact that they can just crap in any pool is disgusting!
Puckles
You make your own deposits. Hun. It’s not just babies in diapers contaminating. There’s crap in ALL your pools. HahHaha
Puckles daddy
You think people are gross for using toilet paper? Just because you cant reach your gerbil tube and need to have someone clean your gerbil tube with a garden hose doesn’t make other people gross cupcake

Swimming at a water park or public pool is like taking a bath in someone’s dirty bathwater, not me.
Concerned
You act like you’ve never used a pool before. The ocean is the same thing. Rain is drinking falling crap water.
Tdot
The thing about rain and the ocean is that constantly moving bodies of water have self-cleaning ability. A stagnant pool doesn’t- that’s why they have to use so many chemicals to kill off whatever we track in before it spreads around.
Skeet Jackman
Swimming in pee and poo…all over the face and mouth. So hot, dude. You’re like the Marquee de Sade.
Sue
Who said it was a kid. This is why I don’t go to public pools or water parks. I will stay in my own pool. At least I know who has been in it. L
Stacey
Thankfully my plate is usually too full to even go for a swim in the summer. So to cool off on a hot day, I stick to going to one of those shallow(up to 1 to 1.5-in. of water) splash grounds.
Ron
Kids pee that’s what they do . I’m sure many adults under adult beverages relieve themselves in the same way . Remember the myth that if you pee in the pool that a dye ?
Kessia
The article was referring to a splash pad, not a pool. The are wasn’t cleaned properly.
West Coast
Well what do you guy’s think where I lived they haven’t changed the water for 28 years they think pouring there chlorine cleaners going clean that poop 💩 water smells so gross slimy nasty thick water. I’ll never go to a water park the river more cleaner.
Dan
Knotts Soak City is filthy, but what do you expect when they pay kids minimum wage to maintain the place….
Lisa
It’s disgusting & so unsanitary. All these kids in the water with diapers pooping/peeing in them. Yuuuck. That’s why I quit swimming in public lakes, etc. 😫🤨 The parents know better.
Terri
Quit going to the YMCA after the second time a kid pooped in the pool. Disgusting. If you’re sick, stay home.
Bill
Ew, someone 💩 in the water!!! 😳
Pops
This is a bit easy to respond. When going in a water slide, the pressure of the water on your anus going down is such that it gets into your rectum. So when you get up after your fun adventure, you shart the water you just took in. This is why I never returned to any water park. To make it worse, I had diarrea. So It was an experience to remember.
LF
😂😂😂😂😂
Really
Kansas…. That says it all.😐
Really
Kansas…. That says it all.😐
No explanation needed.
marlene
if that happended to me i wouldnt go to a waterpark its gross why cant ppl do better prevent it before it happens
Kristopher Nelson
That’s disgusting. The park is lucky they didn’t get sued.
Mo
I’m sure the article meant to say “they fell (ill)”, not “they fell”. I keep imagining people slipping around in crap!! 🤭🤮
Debbie
What do people expect ?!! They let babies & toddlers in diapers get in. Of course their going to pee and sh.. !!
Gross for sure ! I once told a lady to take her infant in diaper out of our area 5ft and go on the kiddie side where that baby belonged..
She left tg !
Sherkita
Laws need to be more stricter on potential hazards like this one that can cause deaths and spread so quickly
Tom Macklin
People who fear this may happen to them should stay home and swim in their own toilet

This is why I don’t go into cruise ship pools and jacuzzis…folks are trifling.

D grace
The reason why I don’t go in public water recreation areas, pools, lakes its too nasty . Its not sanitary,. The ocean is about it for me.
Mike
Not shaming, but do a little research. Of the three water sources you named, the ocean contains the highest bacteria count of the three.

I think children under 6 should not be allowed in public pools & water parks.

Mike
I think what you may be seeing the iron content in the water. Usually in a kiddy pool or a splash pool, because of evaporation, the chlorine levels will be run a little bit higher than a normal pool. This causes the iron in the water to rust. This causes staining if the pools surface. I turn, it looks as if the water is yellow.

Anyone Remember the movie “Caddyshack” ?

I am sad to read such stories in these days and times, we need to do better, we can do better with all that’s going on we should all be awake by now.
Lisa
I am 56 years old and lived at our community pool every summer and atleast once a day someone would poop or get sick in the pool not 1 time did any of us ever get sick I grew up playing in creeks we played in flooded streets after a good rain never got sick.. I came from a generation where we played outside and if you got thirsty you drank from the water hose not some $4 bottle of water and never got sick… do you see where I’m going with my post ???? Sorry but today’s world is a bunch of sissys I truly believe that alot of these diseases are man made and caused by all the chemicals used to supposedly protect us think about it …
Leo Girl
Justin Case
Been real good look and smell like filthy Waters. Take a trip to India!
Sarah
The park should have to pay all the hospitalization j b ills for not adequately disinfecting the water!
Bonnie
The article said 27 people fell. I think they became ill, not literally fell down.
Also, what’s the name of the park? Where did the poop come from? Birds?
Tom Macklin
Let me get this straight… people got sick from swimming in a communal toilet and I’m supposed to be surprised? NOT !
Nashville
How is it that you only HIGHLIGHT OTHER THEME PARKS AND Tanganyika Falls Splash Park in Goddard, Kansas. NOT ? WHY EVEN BRING UP OTHER THEME PARKS IN THE BEGINNING OF ALL THIS ? IM SURE NO ONE WANTS THEIR BUSINESS NEXT TO A BAD WATERPARK.
tvnutt
You millennials or whatever you are, are pathetic. First this is an old story but in your small mind, it’s news. You also think TikTok and the Kardashians are normal. It’s not. You’re a bunch of whiners. We didn’t cry like this. I grew up going to water parks especially in WDW. We knew about the risks but didn’t cry about it. I hope this site gets hacked and brought down.
Bad Kitty No Milk Tonight
This is why I will never go to a water park, even a hotel pool or public pool. They are basically huge unflushed toilets. Some people today really have zero sense of hygiene and ruin places like this for everyone..
Darougaroux
This is why I never go to public pools or water parks. Nasty people.
Dr. Bill Batson
Unfortunately this happens and people don’t really care or have any kind of consideration for others.
This is why I recommend avoiding water parks in general, you are better off wading in a sewer run off.
Sam
That thought has always entered my mind whenever I visit a water park with family. So many people in the water and a lot of kids that can’t hold it in. It is really disgusting when you think about all that goes in the water. I can’t even go into the swimming pool with a lot of people in it. In fact I stay away from water parks and swimming pools
Rosia
I worked in two retail stores in Md. 1. A mother told her child to poop behind a pole in the store. 2. The women’s fitting rooms had poop and pee on carpeting. Columbia MD.
Cheryl
Not a fan of public pools or water parks… get a pool keep it clean and be safe.
Kessia
The article said the contamination was at a splash pad, not a pool. It wasn’t cleaned properly.
Anna Bystrik
Tdot
“Free of charge” is unAmerican lol. The screens are actually a great idea, though I doubt anywhere here will implement it without being forced as that would mean they couldn’t cut corners and save costs with substandard hygiene. Not to mention the costs of constant data monitoring, keeping the screens up and running, equipment maintenance, etc.
Kyle

Tdot
That’s the thing about outbreaks- they’re not there until they are. Most people are fine- no norovirus, no shigella, so wadding in their crap is fine, though not recommended. But it just takes one person to drink some muddy runoff after a rain then go to a public pool or public toilet that never gets cleaned and boom!
PeePool Suk
Yes, folks, you literally ate sh!t. Anybody that would want to play in a confined volume of water, where countless nasty-a$$ people pi$$ and sh!t all day long, shouldn’t be surprised when they fall ill.

Yippee!!
Mr. Clean
Bidet debate over.

I stopped goin in waterparks many manny years ago.. Also don’t do crowded beaches. I think it was at Hershey water park i saw some little kid in the pool with a diaper on and he was packin heavy.

Lisa Fiorentino
What is this a stub article? I get two paragraphs that end with not one iota of information or follow up from the title of the story, just “A day of Fun in the Sun at a water park”.
This article needs to make like a tree and leave…

The pools at Disney are disgusting. One of my least favorite Disney memories is of watching a huge, overweight black mama sitting on the steps of the Disney hotel pool, legs spread eagle, splashing water up into her coochie. I was a young teen when I witnessed that and have never felt the same about pools anywhere, period.
Ray
Hey, poop happens!
Ryan
Butt you probably lick your husband’s butthole. And can’t keep your mouth or your families shut at a public pool. 🤣🤭🤔

Richard Ricca
It was a Baby Ruth candy bar prank.
Kessia
For those talking about the pools, the article says the problem was from the splash pad area, not being cleaned properly.
BrianB
I hate to pull out George Carlin on everyone, but you know how we used to manage to not get sick from germs? Exposure to germs over time as we grew up. Now, not properly filtering the water is unacceptable at a water park don’t get me wrong. But sheltering everyone from every possible germ is also sheltering everyone from building up their immune system.
