A while back during the Food & Wine Fest, I was getting a Disney character-themed kids’-cookbook signed, and turned to the page where the recipes were a target-shaped pizza for Merida, and oatmeal-vanilla ice cream for her horse.
Merida liked the idea: “Pizza and ice cream, that’s what princesses should be eatin’…”
It was grad. Night,1967. I and 3 guys were talking with Mickey just before closing .We talked he mimed. We agreed we would all meet again in 10 years . I never told Mickey I didn’t make it back in 1977 because my 3 friends didn’t come back from Saigon. I’ll never forget that night in ’67….magical.
Bryan, I’m deeply sorry for your loss and the pain you experienced. They live on through your voice. Thank you for sharing your story. You honor them by telling us about your close friendship. Your words about that magical evening in ‘67 is a beautiful testament of the love you shared with your friends. I’m certain they are in a better place, peaceful, watching over you and your loved ones. May God Bless you. Alex
I’m epileptic and I was having small seizures at the Magic Kingdom. So my family had to push me out of the park by wheelchair. We did a character meet and greet and I scared the person in the Minnie Mouse suit because when the person walked up to me I jumped out of the wheelchair. Since hey I don’t like meet and greets and I am a adult
Back in 2020 when I went to WDW, Merida greeted me and blew me a kiss when I entered the Magic Kingdom and noticed the princesses on the railroad. Then when I was watching the princess cavalcade a few times, Merida waves at me, blew me a kiss, and winks at me with a come-here finger gesture and it happened once or twice each time she spotted me. I had no idea why she was doing that to me and I don’t think I saw her doing that to other guests.
This is the kind of stuff WDW is all about. The once in a lifetime magic moments that bring us the guests into the fanasy. A world where we leave behind the harsh controversies in life for something better.
I like how during the video though the she says that those are her three bear friends when technically in the movie those are her brothers turned into bear cubs
