Based on what is referenced about the 2023 Ant-Man film and the Kang the Conqueror character it sounds like the next Ant Man Paul Rudd film is going to be very interesting and I intend to eventually watch it. One of my husband’s favorite character in the Thor films for multiple years since around 2011 was Tom Hiddleston’s Thor character which was partially why we watched all of the episodes of the Disneyplus Loki season 1 by the July/August 2021 timeframe and the Kang The Conqueror character greatly added to the excitement of definitely making the viewer wonder how next season of Loki is going to shape up to be. As for the Tom Scharpling situation involving the next Ant man installment featuring Paul Rudd and what was decided by Peyton Reed hopefully Scharpling was able to negotiate a deal where he could garner a recommendation for Reed for his next job andor money deal andor some type of money severance to go along with the strike while the iron is hot timing of the free publicity that came from it being publicly known what was communicated between Scharpling and Reed.
Are people really offended by this? This was a gag bit for Scharplings show. Having Reed on the show benefits Scharpling. Having an announcement (non-announcement) like this generates attention for the Scharpling show and Quantumania. This is just promotion. Seriously, don’t feel bad for Scharpling. He’s not crying.

My guess is that since Tom Scharpling is relatively unknown in the mainstream, but is clearly known to Reed; that higher ups couldn’t justify the cameo and he and Reed cooked up the plan to create a news inducing incident on his micro channel on YouTube; both bolstering his channel to a thousand subscribers and causing a manufactured uproar that forces company higher ups to make the cameo happen.
This is an interesting way to get on the map and build a YouTube channel.
His show is not live. He cut and edited it, and released it on YouTube, getting more views than any other; likely because of this article which simultaneously introduced you to Scharpling and made you upset about Reed’s douchiness.
