Like WB is going to care about that very small percentage of people who are claiming a boycott.

Its no where near a small minority. The vast majority of potter fans and by extention the people buying this game are disgusted by j.k Rowlings bullying bigotry why do you think w.b have gone out of their way to repeatedly say j.k is not directly involved in this project

Vast majority??. LMFAO. When the last time you’ve been to the wizarding world of Harry Potter in the park? Jammed pack everyday Barry. Stop making up stats to back your insignificant opinion. #IstandwithJK

Haha what rubbish, Harry Potter studios in London is always packed and the photo exhibition, as much as some complain the cursed child is still raking it in, the walking tours in london ive done a few times have always had a decent sized group, universal studios Harry Potter attraction is packed when I’ve been. The nay sayers are few and far between, they just kick up such a fuss it gives the illusion they have greater numbers.
The game is going to do just fine without those few that claim they won’t be buying it.

      3. Normal Person

The vast majority of Potter fans??? Lmao. You obviously live in a very small world. I’m guessing you spend a lot of time on reddit. Most people see rational, not insane, and let people have their own political views. I coukd care less what JK Rowling thinks – her opinions affect no one. She has no power to make laws. She is merely a celebrity and nothing more. Whwn she starts tryin to run for office, then I’ll care. Until then, I’ll continue to enjoy the amazing world’s that she has created.

Just the same tiny minority of loud freaks trying to intimidate normal people as always. Most of them are not even real people. Why do you think they live on places like Twitter and Reddit where anyone can make a thousand accounts?

I dont play video games, so I will by this for my spouse. He loves Harry Potter. The trans/gender identity movement/ideology is sexist and based in misogyny. The boycott will ne a joke. Stop givimg them power by covering them so much. Bunch of kids telling the rest of the world what to believe, how to speak, and what language to use, and they are a violent and hatful group.

    1. Barry

What the heck are you talking about? Trans rights are not sexist nor are they misogynistic, they are a basic human right, you and nobody on this planet has the right to tell a trans woman theyre not a woman or a trans man’s not a man. Its really not a good look for you to defend a bullying bigot but hey you do you

      1. Legion

Trans women aren’t women. They’re men who need therapy, not invading actual women’s spaces.

How on earth is the transgender condition mysogenistic? Even the worst of the transphobes will admit that gender dysphoria is a real and terrible condition that causes people harm, but then reject the treatment of it. But you’re going to sit here and pretend it’s all made up? Who were they violent against anyway? And of course they get to choose what to be called. Who are you to name them? Their names and pronouns are part of their identity, who should get to pick that but themselves? You wanting to name them is weird.

  4. I would like to buy this game but seeing as I most likely won’t be able to get any sort of gaming console, I’ll resort to watching it being played on YouTube.

  5. Bobby

LOL yeah anyone who games and likes HP will be buying it! it’s the small minority of attention seekers causing an issue…

  6. 46er

This game will be a day one purchase for many simple as that.

I’ve investigated into what was said/written by JK and frankly it boils down to her saying there are only two biological sexes at birth. This is correct. What you choose to identify with as you get older can’t change that fact.
You can be what you want later in life and no one wants to deny you that but you can’t change the fact that you were born one of two genders, female or male.

This all seems like a small amount of people being toxic and a lot of others scared to get victimised by said toxics just going along with it.

I’ll suggest something radical, how about people just be nice to each other instead.

It’s not a small minority, it’s alot of people. Many people in the LGBT who are not trans are boycotting aswell, this really could hit sales figures. Jk has just made yet another book and again it mentions a transgender person, it seems she is very angry and fixated on the topic which even anti LGBT people are getting sick of. Cancel culture is wrong but in this case it might be right.

    1. billnyenotascienceguy

Or maybe she is sticking back in the alphabet peoples face and telling them to pound sand. I hopes she makes more miilions from the book, the game and anything else she does. Not to mention she also started the charity Lumos which helps children who are victims of poverty and discrimination. Just thought y’all should know that.

    2. Legion

“Some ideas deserve to be silenced”
And there’s where all possible rational thought went out the window. You don’t silence people. You argue against their bad ideas with better ones that make more sense. Silencing opinions you don’t like just makes you look weak, as though you can’t defend your position at all. If you aren’t willing to have your ideas face any sort of scrutiny, they aren’t worth anyone’s time.

Stop using words like “controversial”. Nothing JKR has said is anything but biological truths. The very vocal minority trying to cancel JKR really aren’t making much impact.

  9. Rob Shaw

I fully support LGBTQ rights, always have. I will vote for any legislation that is to the betterment of the lives of LGBTQ folks. But I will be buying this release day. I just saw the Cursed Child in SF in a packed house on friday.
It was fantastic. No one is boycotting that to any effect. Please take the fight somewhere it will have an impact. You’re not hurting JKR, just the people at the game studio. Good luck with your boycott, I’m sorry to say most are going to ignore it.

I’ve been excited and waiting for this game since I heard about it and am about to pre order. People need to stop being whiney little b****es and RUINING it for everyone. 1. 321blastoff

I don’t agree with her views or like her as a person. But my love for Harry Potter world outweighs all.
