Part of the problem is they pack too many people into the stretching room at once, they should reduce the maximum number of people by about 25% and that would help a lot.
Sorry to say Disney has lost the magic we the guests pay their high prices cast members get paid close to minimum wage and Disney CEO gets paid $32 million a year and the parks are falling short of what was “The Most Magical Place in the World” with now families breaking out in a brawl fit in the Magic Kingdom. I live in Orlando and I am embarrassed to say so because is no longer magical!!!!
I agree but people need to remember this ALL started with Iger. I was HAPPY when Eisner quit – he had lostthe passion in his belly for Disney but that led to a tip down a dark path.
Actuallly what that does is make someone responsible for said company.
Quaker Oats existed because everyone knew his face he wasn’t a ‘faceless’ company there was an owner and he was it.
If he ripped people off there would be hell to pay but he stuck by God’s rules of 10 percent in the bible which has specific guidelines of not ripping people off and businesses that followed that did better in the end and had more trust with the people they served.
True, but he wouldn’t let it get like this. Walt wouldn’t have bought Star Wars neither. Walt Disney wasn’t lazy. He went out and did his research. These new ceos are lazy & greedy.
Disney World! Making your money Magically Disappear!!! 😃💰💲💰💲💰💲🦅
I think is going to come up with a new attraction: “If Your Money had Wings – and it does – we’ll make it fly into the Disney coffers while you get discussed at standing in hours-long lines. And next year we’re going to keep you entertained while you’re waiting line by having character meet and greets with Mickey and Goofy kissing. 🤢🤮
Give me abreak RPM – YOUR side has made EVERYTHING politics and now you tell us to leave our politics at home. It IS the inordinate amount of deference to the LGBTQ$%^&* community that is killing the parks. Wait….its killing this nation. Well when our Chinese communist overlords take over – things will change. Good luck.
Sad to say but the priority for Disney now is profit, no longer to bring joy to children and families.
It’s one thing to be inclusive organically but to force inclusivity is another.
What I mean by that is don’t do it for the sake of it.
There’s examples of it in the live action remakes of the Classics movies.
The live action Beauty and the Beast is an example of that.
Ignore the time period and where the setting is and the author’s vision.
Heaven forbid that there’s a time period movie with historical accuracy because you’ll get criticized for not being ” inclusive”.
And let’s not forget the whole woke movement.
We must represent others with a different life-style choice and include it in a children’s cartoons and movies too.
How about respecting others regardless of their beliefs and ideologies but don’t shove it down our throats either.
C’mon, people, listen to the butlers, they’re only trying to get the bodies through the door and into the right places–
“Step alive, there’s plenty of room on the other side…”
After just visiting Natl Parks I was miffed that they only take reservations to enter mountainous sites anymore to only allow so many people at once. And I’m a fan! Limiting the amount of people makes for a wonderful experience. But State Parks are not for profit. However, Disney can stand to lose a great deal in the long run if they continue to cram as many folks into their parks at once. Capitalism, for all its wonders, has flaws.
One of my biggest pet peeves are the people that recite the preshow speeches word for word loudly, or just ignore them and talk over them.We get it. You’ve been here a thousand times. But that family next to you saved for years to be able to go just once. Don’t ruin it for them.
People it’s about a few ruining the rides ,it’s not about politics, sexualities, race or your hate for a CEO none of these things are about rude people spoiling it for others
Many of these comments are missing the point. This issue has nothing to do with who’s CEO, Walt Disney, etc
The REAL problem is people’s ATTITUDES! All the other factors have nothing to do with the problem. The narcissist, entitled attitudes of people becoming more and more prevalent is the reason for many of the problems. I’ve been visiting this attraction in Anaheim since the day it opened. Still using coupon books. Why is it the parks went DECADES with no issues, and now we see more and more of this childish behavior. Alot of these comments are indicative of the root of many of these problems. People want to scapegoat unrelated reasons instead of taking ownership of the problem. Place the blame where it belongs, the PEOPLE. That’s the cause of the problems. Anything else won’t change that.
This, people are entitled pricks, it’s just that being housed in the pandemic meant that they had two years of telling them not to buzz off or tone down their autism.
Now we are seeing the consequences of what happens of people not being put in line.
Very true but may I add that I am tired of the mind set of ‘I paid a lot of money to be here so I can do what I want’ Please remember that everyone else paid a lot to be there as well! Simple curtesy and politeness go a long way!
How about…..if you don’t do what the Cast Member tells you to do, the attraction doesn’t start and you are removed from the attraction? If you can’t follow simple directions, you should be sent packing!
I had a traumatic experience in that stretching room and the other person probably worse than me. It is so dark and I have vision problems and can’t see that well. My daughter was right beside me when we went in and when the door opened I reach for my daughter and grabbed her hand so she wouldn’t get seperated but this child screamed and tugged away. It was not my daughter but someone else’s child. I was so embarrassed and I’m sure that poor child was terrified.
If you are disappointed by the behaviour from Park Guests at Theme Parks (please feel free to check out the footage online!), then it’s important to bring it up with the Theme Park’s Corporate (if that’s not enough? please post the bad behaviour from Park Guests online until it gets the media’s attention – and Walt Disney Corporate can’t ignore it anymore!)
Cast Members should be given the power to remove Park Guests who are disruptive and call Security if necessary – just nip that bad behaviour in the bud with Disney Jail (aka temporarily restrict access to Disney Theme Parks for everyone who misbehaves).
I am with everyone who stated you pay enough to visit and have a safe / fun time (for some? it’s for the first time). We shouldn’t be subjected to the violence recently at WDW (both sides removed from the Theme Park) and Knott’s Berry Farm (last month the violence got so bad they closed the Theme Park 3 hours early and asked everyone to leave!)
Why is it able to start if the door is not closed. Subways, trains, museum exhibits, all kind of things have a senso that won’t let an object or attraction begin its process unless all the parameters are met. How hard is that for Dianey to do?
Legitimately, when I was there in Jan, they packed too many people in and then realized they screwed up and tried to pack in a member who was in a wheelchair. Though no one was moving. My party was pressed tight to the wall, but there was a big open space in the middle. People literally REFUSED to move no matter what staff told them.
Granted, I hated how packed it was, I’ve NEVER been to Disney World so packed in my entire life. We had to do all this stuff months in advanced due to their Covid rules, but when I went to Will Call for my tickets [that I had to make park reservations for and everything] – people just were walking up and buying tickets that day. It took over 45 minutes just to pick up tickets at Will Call and then every single place was super packed. Rides that never have lines longer than 15 minutes had hour long lines.
The worst part is they were still claiming to have all their covid precautions in place but were overpacking rides. Disney, why the heck do you tell your employees you want them to be safe and then tell them to shove as many humans in things like the Stretching Room as humanly possible. I know the people who didn’t move when I went it was 50/50 “No we need to social distance” logicalness and “I don’t have to move, other people should move” selfishness. It was honestly the most stressful birthday I’ve ever had at Disney World because it felt like there was no place to rest, no place to safely lower my mask and catch a breath because people were ALWAYS too close because it was TOO PACKED. We even gave up on fireworks and all sorts of things just to get the heck away from the crowds because it was TOO MUCH. Literally, the fireworks time was just as packed. And it was so bizarre. I’ve been used to when it’s Fireworks/Castle Show time the only packed place in Magic Kingdom is Main Street and you can get around that easily. It was so packed employees were CONSTANTLY forcing people out of the path ways so that the people who wanted to walk around, still could.
Hmm, 🤔 as always I keep hearing the same excuses. For three years now it’s been,
It’s the prices
It’s the heat and humidity
It’s the CMs
It’s the alcohol
It’s the crowds
It’s the lines
It’s the low pay
Its the Masks
Its the COVID
Its these lockdowns, etc.,
I am positive ALL or MOST of these things existed before this year. I would like to know, when will you ACTUALLY place blame where it belongs? A certain chunk of humans in this world DO NOT BELONG in any civil society, anywhere. No excuses.
Comments for Disney Guests Ruin Stretching Room Experience For Others as Chaos Unfolds

There have been times when the room was “Out of Order” and we were walked straight through to Doom Buggy’s.

I really want to know what is wrong with these people? Kick them out of the ride immediately when this happens.
Cyndi
Perfect idea! People need to realize the consequences immediately after, just like toddlers.

Maybe they were just trying to cram too many people into the room at once.

Far more people ruin rides like Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Caribbean by using flash photography, and Disney does nothing about it.

Agreed

Late at night the room was closed. We walked thru it and right on the ride.
