I hate for you to get the wrong impression but Belle Isle is not a theme park. I have ridden the giant slide but admittedly not for a few years. But the slide was fun!
I went on a big slide just like that as a kid 55 years ago. They gave you a mat to sit on. I bounced uncontrollably all the way down all over the place, scared to death and crying. That was the first and last time.
Personally, I like the comment about spraying a little water on it as a minor adjustment to help control the speed and seems to work, come on down give it a try. We need test subjects ,haha

It’s a theme ride, and bouncing up and down the slide is fun. Years ago as a child the slide was built in the later part of 70’s.
Today Iam 50!!
