I was at Epcot yesterday and it was not crowded at all? We walked on Soarin’ and Spaceship Earth. Frozen and Ratatouille were less than an hour. Not sure what Epcot they are talking about?
Same here, went yesterday to Epcot and it was definitely not full at all, did ratatouille is 35 minutes. Ordering food was less than 10 minutes anywhere.
This particular picture is not an accurate portrayal, we are in this photo, it is on the drawbridge just as it reopened so people had queued to cross from both sides. Yes the parks were incredibly busy but Epcot was by far the quietest park with far shorter queues for food and rides.
Both Disney and Universal do need to address the amount of people they allow into their parks, at times it was incredibly uncomfortable. I would just like to add how amazing every single member of staff at the Disney parks were, from the cast members to the toilet cleaners to the car park attendance, security, tram drivers, boat sailors food servers and on and on. I don’t know how they do it!
Don’t believe anything in these articles t I thing whoever writes the stuff does it for attention . I don’t that many people going to Disney when it’s 95plus outside here in Florida if you do then you are crazy. Not worth going and walk g around when it’s so hot out.
Have fun getting COVID everyone. Nine of my neighbors just got back from Disneyworld in Florida and seven of them now have COVID. No Masks and no regulations from Disney. Disney is only concerned about getting THEIR Money from you and could care less about you. Enjoy the crowds and possibly your hospital stay.
You can still wear masks at Disney, no regulation against that. People are getting covid visiting Grocery stores, church, shopping and visiting friends. You sound angry… stay home and avoid people.
Not sure what people writing above think the definition of crowded is.
I have been visiting Disney Parks, both WDW and Disneyland since 1971 and for the past 10 years mostly WDW. We went in 2015 and crowd level was normal. Then in 2020 prior to Covid closure in February, crowd level was a bit higher but manageable. Then in Feb 2022, and parks were overwhelming. Waits for buses going to Magic Kingdom from the hotels was enough people to fill 3 buses at 6;30am.
There was shoving and people running into you. Multiple people running at rope drop even though the park was only half open.
Even Epcot had lines at rope drop.
Not the same experience. Did not see very many cast members cleaning and they were not as friendly as prior visits.
The Disney Park experience for people who are veteran Disney park goers, know that this is NOT normal.
We will not be visiting for awhile, until the madness is corralled.
Our 9 day stay was about 8k, (2 people) which is expensive for this kind of experience, and this was off season. I wonder how much a family of 4 pays even at an economy hotel?
To be fair though, you say crowds were bad after Covid, not as much before. Covid changed all the patterns. Florida has one of the most lax regulations in regards to Covid. In 2020/2021 in particular, there were so many places you couldn’t go without not only the vaccine, but booster too. But Florida was slightly easier. Regulations are starting to ease up now, but there has definitely been “trip revenge” from everyone that had to cancel trips in 2020 or couldn’t travel easily. I think that’s why it’s been insane the end of 2021 and into 2022. It’s not just Disney, national parks have been experiencing this too. I would be curious if it evens back out soon, now that people are getting it out of their systems. Or can more easily travel other places. I think Disney will always be crowded Spring Break, summer and holidays. But it seems like this summer isn’t as crowded as last, so there’s a glimmer of hope, lol!
All our restrictions here in Florida were lifted on July 1, 2020. Vaccine passports and mandated vaccines are also illegal. So, we haven’t had any “regulations” to ease up since July 1, 2020. We still have some nuts running around with masks, and Disney tries to enforce their own restrictions in spite of them having been abolished in Florida. However, we have been free and clear and back to normal for the past two years already.
I’ve been seeing this story pop up a number of times. How are they being overrun if Disney has limited the number of entries to their parks each day? My guess is that with the pushback against Disney and their loss in revenue that this is just a PR piece to make people believe that they are as popular as ever.
I was there at EPCOT the Sunday before, July 24. I thought the crowd to be reasonable. I have been many times, even before March 2022 when I was there the last time, and thought it not as crowded but seemed like to wait times on rides were much longer in March than a few weeks ago. Rode Frozen and Ratatouille in 10 minute line instead of it posted as 20 minute wait. Even the lines for the Food and Wine kiosks were not terribly long either.
Now Just imagine how it is for us viditing from outside the USA.
From what I’ve been Reading, Usa residents at least get a chance to go back at least twice in a year… Don’t have to worry so much about wait times as you still will have a better experience in your next visit, but Just imagine saving money a life time and this only chance that you get to visit the parks, every thing so crowded that you have to miss a lot When you still have to pay expensive prices even if you didn’t have a chance to ride on all rides you were expecting… So sad…
Comments for Disney Experiences Intense Crowd Levels as EPCOT Was Overrun With Guests

Pack yourselves like sardines into dated, broken down, politicized Disney. I am sticking with Universal from now on.

Great boycotting!

FYI, rides used to be 20 min. Each person has their own definition of Crowded.

$139 for a day ticket. $3.50 for water. $5 for coke. $10 for 440ml beer.
These are the things that people should be talking about. Not how busy it is!
