  1. What are they thinking? Previous price was a rip off.

    1. Steve

At Disney, a simple rip off is a good deal. Half the upcharges are outright scams.

    2. Forgo

“Customers complained the price is ridiculous.”

“You are right. Double the price ASAP!”

  2. BonBon

Oooh how fun for them, one honest reviewer says wasn’t worth it at 30 bucks. Captain only VISITS.
So much money for one full day where you spend quite a bit of it in Hollywood Studios.

I doubt I will return to Disney again. Although we had a good time… Disney nickle and dimed us for the entire 10 days.
Cast members were great. The food was expensive. Paying extra for rides for 6 people was a lot. We paid it because we knew we would not be back. We paid more for less.

    2. Good

ABC DISNEY ESPN are anti- strIght white male anti Christian anti American anti commies.

      1. gandulfy

Oh shut up, disney is ran by a white man, and has nothing to do with commies. This is litterally talking about them doubling the price of a hotel which is the exact opposite of communism, are you really this stupid?

        1. B

I’ll answer that, yes, the previous commentor is that stupid

        2. D

Disney is “run” not “ran” by a white make. Also, you spelled and used “literally” incorrectly.

The family and I had season passes for many years but after all the changes and extra fees, we decided not to renew them and to be completely honest, I don’t think we will ever return to Disneyland or Disney World again.

  3. Steve

    Disney doesn’t get it.

    1. SCOTT lee-ross

Disney most certainly gets it. They provide a top notch experience and charge a top notch price. And people pay for it. That is their job and they are doing it well. Galactic Starcruiser maybe something that everyone wants to do, but only a few actually get to experience it. More power to them. Can not wait to do it one day. Already saving for it.

      1. Tim

All I ask is that you show me where it is Top Notch Entertainment. What this reminds me of is the old adage that if I put a high price on a turd, someone will buy it because it was expensive and rave about it when in fact it is a turd.

        1. Steve

I think he put his life savings into Disney stock before it plunged.

      2. Kev

There are so many better places in the world someone can go for $6,000 (or $3,000/night which is essentially what you are paying for this). For $6,000 you can travel to another country and experience other real cultures and stay longer than 2 nights.

        1. Steve

That is the problem Disney is headed for. The 1% that can afford a good trip to Disney these days has better options than Disney.

I think this move is an attempt to cash in on the wealthy wokesters before they shut down this thing.

      3. Josh Ward

You must work for Disney advertising to tell that BS to everyone

      4. Randy Barker

        Scott:
Glad your saving your money. Eventually when they run out of people with no more money they will either close up shop or eventually lower the price.
I think it will go away!!!

      5. Good

        Just keeping it white

      6. Luke

        You’re a clown and a sheep

    Whatever. Not my style

    Star Trek > Star Wars

    1. Kev

They are different types of SF. Each has its pros and cons (in the case of ST: Khans). They cant really be compared and neither is better than the other. It is possible to enjoy the goodness of both you know.

    2. Steve

They have both been ruined now.

      1. Alana

We went on an actual 4 day cruise to Mexico for a fraction of the price. Out the door it was less that $600.00 for 2 of us including gratuity and taxes. When you can experience many real life things for the price of a fake Disney experience, it puts things in perspective.

I personally experienced the Captains Table and it wasn’t worth the extra $30 per person and especially not $50! I would say it’s worth $10 per person because you got to keep the metal coaster/medallion and 1 glass of champagne.
We ate at the captains table on night two. The captain spent maybe 30 seconds at the table. She never sat down even though there was a place setting for her. She said hello and that she had a matter to attend to and never came back. It was a total rip off.

    1. Ed

Remember, the “Captain” is just another “castmember”! If she actually sat down to the meal and ate it. She would have had to excuse herself twice to clock in and out for lunch and on Thursday’s paycheck would notice a $50 deduction from her paycheck! 🤣😅😂

  7. Frankly, the whole thing is ridiculous! But for those already spending 6K on a “ride”, this is probably not a hardship!!!

  8. Shantel

This is a very expensive experience which half my family participated in late July. We had fun and enjoyed the experience, however, I don’t think I would do it again unless the price dropped. As for the Captains Table, I had done research and knew that the Captain only stops by for a short period of time. On our second night, Lt. Croy stopped by the Captains Table for about 5-10 minutes and the guests seem to really enjoy it.( he stole the show!). I can’t imagine getting more food on top of the multi course meals already served! I was soooo full with all of the creative and wonderful food that was served. Some of it looked otherworldly ( as intended), but I decided I was going to try everything! There were a few misses, but everything was really good! I would not pay $30 or even the $50 price to sit at the captains table. But we had a very good experience and the chef staff accommodated my daughter that had food sensitivities no problem.

The best part was being whisked past the long lines for Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run!

Overall a very good experience, but I would not do it again for $6000.

  9. Well, I agree it is VERY expensive. BUT… many will pay even more.
You can’t really blame Disney for charging what ever the market will pay.
Many thought Disney would drop the price. THEY WERE WRONG

    1. Steve

I think they will demolish it.

  10. Mark

Disney has turned my stomach so bad I have no desire to return to the Florida park. I think they are truly reaching a price point where people who can afford it are going to say not worth it. I’m a universal boy now…

  11. B

How kind of them to be aware of your daughter’s food sensitivity, for $6,000, they should have. BTW, is that $6,000 per person, group or how is the pricing done? My adult daughter wants to take her husband, but wasn’t sure of how the pricing is done. Thank you in advance for your answer! Glad you enjoyed your adventure!

  12. C

We went in June. There were 8 of us in our party. We weren’t able to sit at the Captain’s table, but we enjoyed the entire adventure, We had two people with allergies, one fish, and one egg. The staff went out of there way to make sure to substitute courses for the fish allergy (adult) and made special waffles for the egg allergy (child). We had a wonderful time.

  13. I can count

$20 increase on an over $6000 bill.
    “Nearly doubled”

  14. Dee

    Exactly.

  15. Kowalski

Spend my vacation trapped inside a tarted up hotel with cheesy entertainment in the Hollywood Studios park? I don’t care what it costs, it’s too much. No thanks.
