Exactly! What a way to mislead a story. This is nothing about Disney ruining a vacation but a horrible airline experience. Someone needs to learn how to report a story appropriately!
….this is a first of many inconveniences you will face. Your flight landed, and maybe some kids received the precious bounty. 12 days of vacation really should provide lifelong memories…tie a bow on it 🎀that’s the Disney way. You’re young, you can laugh it off. On the 12th day of Disney my flight really effed me ✈
My luggage was “lost” In Europe. Part of it was due to deplaning after an electrical problem & switching to another plane, where they made us re-check our bags. They somehow managed to rip off all luggage tags, but it’s curious that their scannable sticker remained in place, as did my ribbons. I described my bag, and the next day an agent took me to the storage room, since I was flying home. Because it was a somewhat unique color, I spotted it immediately. I cannot understand why they didn’t see it. I always put my name & contact info IN the luggage’s attached zipped bag. Can they not access this like TSA can, & do they they not check?
I have my suspicions that sometimes baggage gets intentionally lost. There’s a store called Lost Baggage that gets it’s stuff from “found” lost baggage.
Someone should have invested in Air Tags. These little devices will save you a lot of hassle by allowing you to track your own bags. With how often bags are getting lost now they are an absolute necessity for me.
That’s not Disney’s fault! Also boasting about being a Disney Princess for kids parties so publicly will wind up getting her in trouble. She’s breaching trademark and copyright laws !
This story has nothing to do with the Disney name or Disneyland at all. It has to do with the airline , British airways!! I love and miss Disneyland can’t wait to come back!!! 💓
I have had great experiences at Disneyworld…mostly decades ago. Last few trips were to accommodate my wife wanting to go. It has changed in way too many negative ways for me to ever want to go again. The hotels there also generally were some of the worst I have stayed at…except I still like the Yacht Club.
I hope it was insured. We had a terrible Disney trip starting with my son going to the ER the first night at All-Star. We luckily hit a small park the first day. My dad had an electric scooter, so my son snuck in naps during the day. Then we were waiting in Epcot the next morning for a princess breakfast when my special needs nephew was being watched by security. A couple of them showed up when he began climbing on some props. I get it, but still stressful trying to get him down with security watching. We made it home after our trip to find that our house had been broken into. I won’t go into family drama leading up to the trip. I was so stressed the entire time, but I think my kids enjoyed the trip. We want to plan another trip for when we adopt our 3 boys, but definitely not another Disney trip.
@amy SMH. Nothing you just complained about on your “terrible Disney trip” was caused by Disney. But if you’re going to blame them for your issues, yes, do not go back.
Is that somehow Disney’s fault? The airline lost her luggage. Never pack anything you would mind losing. If her stuff was that valuable she should’ve had insurance. I fault Disney for many things including being greedy for money, but this had nothing to do with them.
Echo above…nothing to do with Disney! But she might want to rethink how much she is claiming to have bought…. If she is brining home anything above £390 allowance she is Liable to pay tax/charges when arriving in the UK!
I took a flight once, and they gave me crappy snacks and luke-warm soda, but because they showed a Disney movie in-flight, I’m blaming the Disney company! They completely RUINED my life!!
Typo? “…ruin the magic and tar their Disney experience.” I’m not familiar with the use of “”tar” in this context. Maybe the airlines should be hard and feathered? Perhaps we have a conflation of the words “mar” and “tarnish,” either of which would seem appropriate.
Typhoon Lagoon and other attractions are closed indefinitely or didn’t Disney inform you? Hmmm. And those of us living in Florida/Orlando area cannot afford the annual pass. Good thing too because Disney doesn’t sell one anymore.
Never coming back to this site again. Full of fluff and filler. Terrible eeporter squandering views because his own artyicle content is too lame. Shame…
The luggage is somewhere waiting for an agent to sense the bags should either be returned or pitched due to time. Meanwhile life goes on wondering where the luggage is.
British Airlines lost my luggage on July 1, 2022. They sent me 1 text starting that they would send it to Cairo in Egypt. Since then I have been told 2 times that it would be delivered to Visalia. To add insult to injury they cancelled one of my flights and set 3 of us up in a filthy hotel with roaches. We went back to the airport and slept on a bench.

Apparently, she didn’t have insurance for lost baggage.
Hard lesson learned.

This is why souvenirs go in my carry-on.

What does this have to do with Disney?

I totally agree! This has absolutely nothing to do with Disney!!!
Bob
Read carefully. Nowhere does it say anything about Disney being culpable, just that 12 day vacation there ended poorly for some reason.
Raginhari
Right?! I was sitting there the whole time thinking.. uhhhh when did this turn into bash BA article?

I have no idea. Why take your costume? You can’t wear it in the park anyway. Disney doesn’t handle baggage. I also fail to get the connection here.
Phil
Because they lost thier DISNEY souvenirs dah!!!!
Phil
Ummm…I think after her flight the airline lost her DISNEY souvenirs, maybe that’s why it relates to DISNEY..
O
🤷♀️ Sucks for her.
This is not news though.

I hope she recovers her luggage.

Yes on AirTags! They found a man’s lost items in an airport employee’s house by following the AirTags. This was in Destin, Florida.

Why did she have her Belle costume with her at WDW? She can’t wear it there..
This is not a Disney problem.

This has NOTHING to do with Walt Disney World. The head line made NO MENTION of British Airways who is at fault.

Amy, how is your bad trip Disney’s fault? Did they hurt your son or break into your house?

….or perhaps it was a case of faulty voice-to-text, as in my own “hard and feathered.”

Might be British terminology.

Completely agree. Cheesy. One doesn’t have anything to do with the other. This isn’t about Disney, it’s about British Airways epic screw up.

Fliers need to use luggage trackers that go inside your luggage so YOU always know where your luggage is!

Will I ever see my luggage again?

British Airways has such crappy service the past decade or so…they used to be good but they have Zero recovery skills.
