Disney won’t give out refunds for things like the Tomorrowland Terrace if the fireworks don’t go off so it doesn’t surprise me that they won’t refund if Murphy refuses to want to perform that night either.

    Disney is a scam.

  5. We had a similar situation. We needed to change a time on a dinner reservation. They wouldn’t do it nor cancel our reservation unless we paid $10.00 per person to do so. The original time was conflicting with Attraction times given to us.
A cast member from our resort fixed it by switching that reservation to their restaurant and then changing the time. Problem was solved! We stayed at Port Orleans.

The same thing happened to us the last time we took our 6 kids to Disneyland. We were sooo excited to show them the 2.0 version of Fantastic, so we splurged and did the dining package on the last night of our 11 day vacation. In the middle of our meal, the show was canceled…. no bad weather or anything. The restaurant was completely unwilling to do anything for us, and the meal was over $300. Luckily, after a couple of trips to city hall that night, we did receive compensation that we felt good about for a future trip. Restaurant cast members are not the right people to talk to.

Something like this happened to me too. I bought the more expensive meal at the wine grotto in California adventure Los Angeles. In doing so I was supposed to get good seats for the water fireworks show. The show was canceled and all I got was a “sorry”. I still love Disneyland but they owe me money!

No they don’t. It’s not Disney’s fault you didn’t read the disclaimer. They tell you up front there is no refund if the show is cancelled. It’s the risk you take.

I was there August 27 and they had canceled. I had to leave for an early flight so didn’t think to see about the 2nd showing. Anyway I enjoyed Dinseyland especially the Star Wars area and rides. Definitely do that Rebel ride best ride I have ever done.

People like you guys are the reason Disney gets away this crap. They slap a disclaimer in that says hey we’re aloud to just take your money and you eat it all up a spoon because of a cartoon mouse. Sad. No wonder Cheapek is perfectly comfortable ripping people off and cutting corners when everyone simply worships their own nostalgia and no one demands better of their experiences.

        RIGHT

Not their fault if you don’t bother to read the terms. If you don’t want to take the risk, don’t buy the package. It’s that simple.

It not that deep. Yall be okay

  10. We’ve done a ton of dinner/show packages and fortunately never had a show canceled. I did not know this is how it worked if a show was canceled. I think it’s 100% wrong of Disney not to give a refunded portion. Glad I read this article. I will definitely think twice next time
