Unfortunately, WDW cast member behaviour as detailed in this account is unacceptable…no matter how rude, inconsiderate guests can be. As with show business or any other business, leave your personal feelings, fustrations, at the stage door or at home.
Best course of action, take an active leave of abscence…chill out, refresh…and go through Traditions again.
Traditions should be mandatory (every six months to a year for a refresh in guest service) for cast members who experience fustration, and or loss of guest service/magic….Its ok to take a leave of abscense, to regain focus.
This is clearly a person who’s never directly worked in a customer service position…I’d imagine just about every business who deals with the public would frown on their employees doing stuff like this, doesn’t mean things like this never happens…
People are A-holes and every once in a while deserve to get out in their place…
Good job, love it. I’ve been hit so many times I can’t count. I understand that some people need them to get around. I’m okay with that. However, if you can’t drive them and can’t drive them responsibly then you shouldn’t have one.
Had this same conversation with my newly licensed child about using a car.
Thomas,
As someone who has only recently needed to use a scooter, I can say they are bulky, hard to use at times and other guests don’t look where they are going and sometimes get a bumper. I have never hit a person, but people have run into me when not looking. Just like everything else at Disney and the rest of the planet, people are getting more rude and entitled. People are losing the magic in their hearts and the imagination and we can only hope it returns and kindness comes back as a way to treat fellow people.
A lady on a scooter ran into the back of my leg and never said sorry. I’m pretty sure they had just been to Oga’s so obviously impaired. When I said “ouch!” the guy turned around and said “what’s your problem!” This woman could have seriously hurt a small child. The back of my leg was black and blue for a week.

Good for him, what gives her the right to not even say “I’m so sorry”, people are so rude & don’t care.
