Embarrassing that a 280lb man wants to go down a children’s water slide at a resort pool to begin with. Buy tickets to Typhoon Lagoon for a day. They really need to start specifying that these slides aren’t for grown a*s men. If I was that poor kids’ father I probably wouldn’t have been so nice that they left thinking posting the video to TikTok was a good idea.
Do the slides specify a weight limit? I use all the slides regularly and I’ve seen no issues. Plenty of other adults have gone down them. No where does it say the slides are for kids only. The parents are paying top dollar for these resorts. Of course they can go down the slides.
The slides at the resorts in Disneyland have red/green lights and a lifeguard overseeing the frequency of people going down the slide. Not sure how the kid was in the way still when that guy came down. That sucks to see yourself about to land on someone and you can’t do anything about it.
Does Disney not have employees standing at the top of each slides letting the guest know when it’s clear to go down? Every water park I’ve ever been to: The Wave, Knott’s Soak City, and Raging Waters all have people at the top of the slides to let you know when it’s safe to go so that incidents like this do not happen.
