Any geezers remember when there wasn’t ANY Disney at 80s Epcot Center, until they finally gave in and had Mickey character dining at Odyssey Restaurant?

  2. Bring coco!

I think they can keep it innovative and futuristic, plus incorporate Disney as well. I like how Disney is being incorporated into the countries. I really wish they would redo the Mexican Pavilion as Coco. Such a cute movie, and would fit perfectly there!

If they ever “Disney” up animal kingdom, I’ll literally cry buckets forever.

Ie replacing safaris with lion king IP and no live animals. Or replacing the Asian wall through with jungle book 😒

    Keep animal kingdom sacred. Tyvm

I want less Chapek at Disney.

Epcot was my favorite park as a child, Walt’s own Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Loved it even more as a teen and young adult. Not everything has to be plastered with characters… and adding in franchises that are recent acquisitions for Disney doesn’t seem to make it ‘more Disney’ either. Why fix what isn’t broken?

Agree with CEO Chapek, Epcot does need to be Imagineered to be attraction friendly. As we,see with Ratatoullie, why cant the remaining countries, which dont have an attraction ride, have a ride like China, a boat ride with Mulan and Mushu.

Epcot can still be preserved as well to those who remember the 1980’s Epcot., while adding more Disney.

Bring back Food Rocks, its time for Soarin to soar outta there. World of Motion and Horizons need to make a comeback too.

More likely federal income tax will disappear before the old dark rides come back – even updated! Don’t be surprised if Spaceship Earth is gutted & a 3 min roller coaster is put inside! That has already been done overseas at a non disney theme park in an identical dome!!! Younger people today do not want to be educated at theme parks – all they want is thrill rides.
They would NEVER go to the ’64 NY World’s fair which was almost all EDUCATIONAL.
& anamatronics are a LOT more expensive to build & maintain than coasters, simulators & video screen characters!
I’m amazed Carousel of Progress is still there. I would NEVER have guessed it would outlast the Universe of Energy, which.
in the late ’80s was my fav attraction & should have been brought back – the Jeopardy part later ruined it!

It’s funny you say this joenyw! My 18 year old LOVED Carousel of Progress! But she’s my “old soul”. She collects old books and her entire room is pre 50s. When we did Hall of Presidents, a boy about 14 commented to his parents that it was his favorite of the day. When Abe Lincoln stood up, my daughter exclaimed, “Are you seeing this?! My man STOOD UP! From his chair!” She was so amused 😂

But I do know you’re right, and these kids are few and far between. Such a bummer!

  7. I saw recent artistic renderings of Moana water, rock formation area. They are going to bounce water from one rock formation to another. I thought about it and remembered that I had seen that before in front of the Imagination pavillion. Could we be waiting years for just recycled concepts we have already seen before? Tired of the epcot barrier maze. A lot more walking around this train wreck. Down with cheapskate!
