I have a foot fetish so thanks for posting all of these nice videos. : )

And frankly, who would WANT to go barefoot at the parks?

Ever walk barefoot from your room to the pool at the resorts?
If it’s not the rough pavement, it’s that steel-bladed decorative grass on the lawns! I was never a sandals person until I had to become one on vacation for necessity.

Jess, are you sure your name isn’t actually Karen?

    1. Protests too much

And this “Christo” weirdo needs something else to do with his life than video children’s feet and pretend he is disgusted. Freak. I bet they would find something on his computer.

I was at WDW one time and caught in a torrential downpour. We were just like, fine, we will get wet, no big deal. However, I was wearing flip flops. The souls were SO slippery, not against the ground, but mu foot soul on the shoe soul, that i kept tripping and sliding. I eventually just took them off and walked barefoot holding them. No one was around us, and you really couldn’t even see through the “sideways rain”. I put them back on when we got to the bus. Generally speaking, you should wear shoes/footwear at the parks, but, i can see how being barefoot can happen

Agreed. Was going to make a similar comment, but you addressed it perfectly.

Tell us you’re ghetto without telling us you’re ghetto…… takes shoes off…

  4. Can you imagine how much bacteria is on your feet when you are walking in rain water at a theme park? The grounds are filthy thinking of all the times they’ve been peed, pooped, puked, and had things dumped on. I can understand people don’t want to get their shoes wet in the rain, but going barefoot isn’t the answer, maybe you could carry flip flops with you to the park.

Additionally, dipping your feet in the water breaks the dress code for Disney parks. They should be kicked out of the park and not allowed to return. The behavior of guests at the Disney theme parks is so out of hand right now because Disney has all of these rules that they don’t enforce. It’s ruining the park experience for everyone.

Dear Sarah, unless you are going to eat with your feet or you have open wounds on them, those bacteria can do no harm to you. Just wash your feet with soap when you come home, like you do with your hands. OTOH, even if there were harmful bacteria in rain water, no flip-flops would be able to protect you from them. Please use common sense.

      This is the way

Disgusting and skanky, how common of the lady to sit in the fountain like that, also, it’s all fun and games until the ride mechanisms rip your foot off (which I really hope it does)

Word! Pirates has a third rail, and I suppose Small World likely does as well. One misstep and you’re toast – literally.

    2. vas

And flip-flops will protect you from the ride mechanisms exactly how? But they are acceptable.

I used to work Pirates. When guests would barf overboard, or throw their loved one’s ashes (oh, yeah, it happens!!!), or throw their half eaten food or other trash in, it would get filtered with allow the other water and then left their. There is no draining the ride and refilling it, or purifying it or whatever they do at the water parks. So, go ahead, stick your foot into the barf and dead people. Yum.

  7. Just wear water shoes when your feet get hot pour some water on them. It’s not that hard of a thought. Crocs can get wet.

I’m barefoot most of the time. When I can’t be barefoot I wear Xero sandals. I wore them for my entire last trip and it also flooded and all was great. I never had the urge to put my feet in ride water or waste cast member/everyone else’s time by not following rules though….

It’s interesting that some ppl think that’s It’s a good idea to go mingling with all the germs, throw up and ashes that are scattered all about, (no hate i wouldn’t mind Disney being my after death destination). It doesn’t matter if you think that you feet are nice and healthy…. but I caution you in advance – next time just gander a glance to look at some of the feet around you and ask yourselves if they are up to your standards.
As mentioned before,It’s so easy to grab some flip flops, crocs, or waterproof sandals.

People have lost their minds! Especially the young adults. Covid did something to peoples brains.

I just don’t understand why people care if someone else chooses to be barefoot. Do they but have a life?

  12. Absolutely loving the typo in “frantically avoid(ing) ankle to CHIN deep water.” Thinking that if the water was chin deep, your bare feet would be the least of your worries!

  13. Freedom4Feet

The problem is Disney’s dress code and its illogical prohibition against bare feet.

Disallowing feet (shod or unshod) dangling in the water on rides is one thing, but banning barefoot patrons? Ridiculous.

Let people who want to go barefoot go barefoot. Let people who want to wear shoes wear shoes.

For the people who are worried about bacteria and what have you, the reason your shoes (and sometimes your feet) stink after removing shoes & socks is because the bacteria inside the shoe builds up, spreads on your feet, has no air or light to kill it, and thrives in the dark moist environment of shoes.

Going barefoot is much healthier in most cases, including while on Disney properties.

Disney makes a big stink (pun intended) about its values, but apparently freedom of choice is not one of them.

Disney needs to grow up and the foot haters need to consider the basis of their prejudices.

Author has clearly never been to Shanghai Disney. Guests hang their wet clothes over the bushes to dry, I saw one lady washing her kids’ poopy pants in a fountain. My enduring memory of the place though is seeing a mother hold her toddler over a drain while it took a dump right in the centre if the plaza in front of Cinderella castle. Magical 🤣
