Thank you for speaking up and sharing truths, Abigail. I appreciate you listening, rolling up your sleeves, and asking the uncomfortable questions, in particular the health insurance ones. My dream time was cut short by a workplace injury with insufficient coverage that led to months of homelessness.
Thank you for bringing this to light Disney was my dream job. After getting sick they would not let me change my role because I could not prove that it was their fault.
No one should be made to think they’ll make as much as the man in charge. I retired in 2004 from a 30 year career in law enforcement. My retirement is not great but I do not suffer. I moved to Durango, Colorado because I love the mountains and found a job to supplement my income. Housing is very expensive so I lived in my car and had no health insurance for 2 years. Funny I don’t feel less than. Even as a young adult I worked 2 jobs and never thought I was being discriminated against. The problem today is folks want to start at top salary instead of working their way up. They blame their problems on others instead of being grateful for what they have.
I have experienced many good things in my life because I worked hard. I think Disney is trying a socialist approach which I am against. All you have to do is look at countries that have embraced socialism to see it does not work.
And yet she (mostly likely) has no problem spending her “family money” and using the name where it suits her. Why is she just now speaking up? Just trying to be relevant no doubt.
🤔🙄
Why didn’t she demand better pay and benefits for the employees? Because she lived off the sweat of their brows. Poor little rich girl is playing the I’m Woke Card while crying all the way to the bank. How much will she make off this film???
Doesn’t Abigail Disney have two homes. One that is in central park, NYC? Maybe I’m mistaken about that fact. How much do those two properties cost alone?. If she is so concerned with the Disney people,, then maybe she should sell one of her properties and give it back to them. Doesn’t that make sense? Why didn’t she just give back her inherited wealth to the Disney family if she he was so outspoken against it?
Paying someone a livable wage is not socialism, it’s simply the right thing to do. That goes for every industry in this country. It’s the way things were back in the 50s and most of the 60s.
