My experience on Velocicoaster was amazing!! I’m 52 years old and this was literally the BEST coaster I have ever ridden. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart. It’s intense and that’s what I love about it. I’ve ridden it multiple times and it’s my go to coaster when I go to Islands of Adventure!!

  2. Jeff

I rode this coaster last year and it was a thrill. At 63 I’m not young but this ride was so much fun and not jerky or rough in any way.

As an employee at the sister park in Los Angeles, I couldn’t wait to ride the Velocicoaster. I actually got a chance to sit up front. It is absolutely, THE BEST roller-coaster that I’ve ever been on. It was OUTSTANDING!

  3. Jorge

I am 56 and have ridden VELOCICOASTER many times. Yea it’s intense, yea it’s a hard push, but it’s one of the most amazing coasters I’ve ever experienced! I’m a Florida resident annual pass holder and look forward to it every trip without fail!

    1. Terence

I’m 62 and its the best roller coaster I bin on in year
1st go and ended up in front seats with my wife absolutely brilliant

  4. David

Absolutely fantastic, best coaster ever. I am 61 years old and will return frequently. Beat the queues, single rider, on in 20 minutes.

  5. Grant

velocicoaster best roller coaster I have ever. Pure fear lol first 3 minutes hanging on for dear life eyes closed. After getting off I had to walk around to get my coordination. Can’t wait going again in couple months

Lol I was somewhat dizzy too. My daughter was like mom you ok??!! Just had to get my grounds back. Overall best ride.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! Mybeyes were watering at the end from the speed and I could not stop laughing. The different elements hit so fast that your brain can hardly process it. It. Is. Amazing. My dtr’s eyes were watering too, but she was actually crying and could not get off fast enough. And she LOVES coasters and is up for pretty much anything. Except for another ride on the Velocicoaster! Lol. I would go every day if I could. We have been to Universal twice and like it so much that I don’t think we will ever go to Disney.

    2. Saran

Hey. Would you believe the ride is only 2 minutes long?! Fastest 2 minutes of my life 😂

  6. Your mom

If only there was a way to let park guests know how intense this ride is. Maybe let us walk by the tallest point of the ride or maybe show us some of the most thrilling moments as we wait in the queue. Maybe they could put a POV video on you tube so potential riders could see what they are about to experience. Maybe they could put warming signs at the entrance stating the extreme nature of the ride. Maybe they could make an audible announcement while in the queue stating the intensity.
Oh wait, they do all of those things. After reading the article I wish the author had a stroke.

You what’s crazy?! It’s almost like people will have different experiences from you and that’s ok! … what?! 🤯

Tha velocicoaster is an amazing ride!!! Loved it. I’m 49 I took my Bonine before riding anything in the park a must for me or I’d be sick. Loved all the speed of the coaster!! Best coaster I’ve ever been on and would definitely ride again!

    1. Nuese

“YoUR MOM”! You m’am are completly crazy!!!
How could you either a STOKE on a person!

Well, I went about three weeks ago and rode this, and 3 days prior to my experience I was declined treatment at a dentists office to have a tooth removed, because my blood pressure was 183/121. That’s knocking on deaths door they told me, then I proceed to get on this Rollercoaster a measly 3 days later and experienced the most thrilling ride of my life. I was yelling at everyone in line as we passed by, “DONT DO IT”. But, I didn’t have a heart attack or stroke, so neither will anyone else. Enjoy the ride.

  9. Michelle

We recently rode the Velocicoaster with our 9 year olds and 12 year old and we LOVED every second! So much so that we rode it 4-5 times before we left that day! Even the one child who doesn’t necessarily enjoy coasters, kept going back for more! Best roller coaster to date, imo-hands down!

  10. Chris Wood

They had to limp back to the hotel, they may have had a stroke. Puulease! Absolutely the ride was intense. But this guest is going over board with the dramatics. I’m surprised this guest wasn’t on tic toc crying victim?

  11. I rode at 67 and I can’t wait to ride again at 68 in Sept! Loved it!!!! The minute I got off I wanted to go again!

  12. Christopher Hasson

I have been on this ride 43x. 40 of them in the front seat and 3 in the middle and back. Hands down, the best roller-coaster ever. I’ve been on Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and the Velocicoaster is better. I was able to ride it 1 month early due to having a season pass. I love the intensity of this ride. Hell,, my roommate blacked out at the top of the Top Hat part of the ride.

  13. mia

best ride ever i cannot wait to go back to universal and go on it again! definitely overrules my favorite at disney, tower of terror. and that says a lot!

  14. Edward

I took one look at this crazy ride on YouTube and said HELL NO. I would definitely have a massive heart attack if I was ever foolish enough to get on it! You roller coaster fanatics can have it.

  15. Catherine l castillo

I rode revenge of the mummy .it was one of the best roller coasters I rode in my life. 17 years later I still talk about how good it was

  16. Mikki

I loved it!!! I didn’t have any medical worries after leaving the ride. Thank God!!! I will ride it again, and again, and again!!!

  17. Stephen

Was in Florida from Scotland 3 weeks ago and had my first ride on the Velocicoaster, SUPERB, pity about my ‘friend’ from Louisiana sat next to me! Remind me never to go there!

  18. Dale

Most AWSOME freaking roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. Saw many people come off very dizzy and sick. With only lap restraint you feel like you are going to fall out , especially in the barrel roll literally right over the lake!

  19. Gary Lafferty

The Velocicoaster is by far the best ride of them all, absolutely superb I actually managed to do it 3 times within a couple of days which is good going when you have to wait in the queue for at least 90 minutes every time you want to ride it,well worth the waiting about thou.

  20. Michaela

“I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die!!”
I’m a 61yr old grandma and that’s what I was screaming during the entire ride:)

  21. Tracy

As a 52 year old, when you look around the lines and you are the oldest one there… there’s your sign. When I got off the ride, I felt like the inside of my head had been shaken and I had a terrible headache. Concerned about being the next ASL patient, I wisely chose not to ride it again….

  22. RayOp

I had not tucked my season pass lanyard inside my shirt. It flew up, I caught it in my mouth, spent time chomping down on my pass so I didn’t lose it. Greatest coaster I have ever riden!

  23. Zoilo

    BEST RIDE EVER!!!
I’m 52 and discovered the Velocicoaster on my last trip to UO, WOW is by far the best thrill ride I’ve ever been on. Can’t wait to ride again!!

  24. Veronica

I went on this and the Hulk coaster with my boyfriend. Jury is still out on which one was more intense but both had me feeling some whiplash and I was sure to put my head against the back the whole time. I also understand why the lines are so long but 1.5 hours wasted on a line feels back breaking for a minute of ride. It was fun but maybe 31 is too old to be on these rides. I feel like the only way to ride them is with a back and neck brace but who knows if they would let me on a ride like that. 😂

    1. Pauline

Where did you sit? The farther back you sit on a coaster, the more you’ll be whipped around. I always sit in front.

  25. Natacha

OMG this is the BEST Rollercoaster ever!!! Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that nobody else does. This is my favorite hardcorecor Rollercoaster!! Second is Hagrids. Dont like it don’t ride. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us.

  26. Terence

I’m 62 and its the best roller coaster I bin on in year
1st go and ended up in front seats with my wife absolutely brilliant

  27. Pauline

I was 54 when I rode this coaster, during its soft opening. I laughed throughout the whole ride! It was so awesome! My favorite coaster. I can’t wait to go back.

  28. Steve

A Stroke?? Where the blood supply to the brain was cut off? This is an insult to anyone who has actually lost someone to Strokes. The journalist of this article should have never have entertained this idiotic comment.

  29. My family and I went to universal the end of March this year. The Velocicoaster was the best rollercoaster I have been on in my 52 years of life. I giggled through every 0g inversion holding on with my feet under the chair. In our 3 days there my 10 yr old and I rode it at least 6 times. We found more reasons to love it every time. The que line is a must, the animatronics were awesome. We can’t wait to run with the Raptors again…

  30. DianeMRL

A mixed bag of reactions, as I expected. Husband & I rode it in Dec. (we are both 61) LOVED IT!!! Had to ride it again just to see all the scenery!🌴🦖🦖🌴

  31. Theresa F

It’s the ABSOLUTE best ride I’ve experienced in my lifetime!!!!no regrets!

  32. E Wulff

Rode the Hulk Ride and having to take my glasses off and then stand in line for 1/2 hour without trifocals was not good. After the ride, my chest felt like it was going to explode. One and done

  33. Tarrell

Best roller coaster ever! So smooth and perfect. Didn’t make me dizzy or anything

  34. Chris

There are warnings for a reason.

  35. Jackson Gomez

I had a blast at Universal, spent most of time at the Velocicoaster because we went on a not-busy park day. When the park closed we were the last ones in line and there was a whole ride in front of me and my three friends. So we got to ride it at night by ourselves in the front… amazing experience

  36. Doug

As if. Velocicoaster honestly isn’t intense at all, just exhilarating and fun. You want intense? Try iron gwazi right down the road at Busch gardens, or i305 at kings dominion.

  37. Damon

Velocicoaster was amazing to me! The wait for it was totally worth it! I had my eyes shut for a chunk of it since they kept drying out, but overall I enjoyed it. I’m usually not the type to go on intense rollercoasters, but I am glad I got on it during my trip to Orlando back in June.

  38. Stephanie Hatcher

LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!!!! Hands down best ride there
