I have to disagree on your assessment for this for the mere fact that nothing from Secret Wars has truly been introduced. Now, if you’re thinking Secret WAR than that makes far more sense, seeing as the Skrulls have already been introduced to audiences.
A far, FAR better idea for Phase 5 (as far as ACTUAL storytelling) should continue the Loki season 1 finale with Kang, considering he’s one of the Avengers biggest villains and he’s making an appearance in the upcoming Ant-Man movie. And that would at least make the whole multiverse make sense.
Though considering that the MCU seems to just be randomly throwing things together instead of the concise and streamlined arc they had in phases 1-3, at this point they seem to just be introducing characters just to introduce characters without any sort of cohesive story.
