I wish I could yell at Bob Cheapskate. He’s too much of a coward to interact with guests. Other people have to do it for him.

You are 100% correct. When I was a 6-7 year old I got to meet Walt Disney. He came down from his office apartment abovthe firestation at Disneyland and greeted guests. He shook my hand and asked my name and told me to have fun at Disneyland. He would never put up with what is happening to his creation right now. Disney+is going to be showing a mini series of I AM GROOT. One of the first scenes shows Groot being shot with Glock type hand guns and other types of guns.it then shows him cowering on the ground while getting shot at. This is NOT THE SHOW THAT DISNEY SHOULD HAVE EVER DONE matter when. But bow is even worse. Children cowered like that in the school rooms while they they were being shot and shot at. PLEASE EVERYONE BOYCOTT THIS SERIES!!!!

Your comment is all over the place. For one, Bob can’t be everywhere when dealing with a company of this size versus when Walt was in charge, they only had the one park. Also, when it comes to Marvel shows, Marvel is it’s own entity that does have to go by Disney’s rules, but they don’t want to limit the creativity for it. Also, there is much worse things out there that kids watch on a daily basis that no one seems to care about. There’s nothing wrong with the show since it’s not even out yet, so there’s nothing to boycott

The size of the staff is much bigger today then when Walt was in charge. Walt would have made time, because he realized “kids and family” are what these parks are all about….or at least they used to be.

Once again, not the same as it is now considering that Disney owns and runs many different things around the world. Walt wouldn’t have had the same sort of time to do these things if he were around now running things

  2. Personally I find genie plus annoying. You are standing in a long line. Periodically, they stop you in line and let 20 to 30 people in from genie plus. It always seemed like it was happending to us frequently. My daughter noticed and told me it wasn’t fair. I can see that causing a riot in the line. The cast member that stops the line to let genie plus customers through must take a lot of heat. Would not want to be in their shoes.

I used to work at Toy Story Midway Mania. Back before there were two loading areas and stand by times were often 120 minutes. There is a protocol in place for how many fast pass riders per stand by riders the cast members let in at the “merge”. The coordinator tells them for example 20 fast past for every one stand by. And that is the worst job when you are facing an angry mob . I once had some creep push his little kids through and told them to run so I’d have to let the adults in the large party through. He smirked at me as he passed. I picked up my phone and had security waiting to talk to him at the end of the ride. As fate would have it my shift was over and as I was walking to my car this creep followed me and got in my face harassing me until I ran into a cast only building.
For those wondering, security was waiting at the end of the ride to speak with him and told him what he did was unsafe for the children and really skeezy and if he did it again they would all be done for the day and escorted out. I called security again after he followed me but he must have left on his own

You should have called 911 and had the perp arrested. Cameras are everywhere and they would be able to find him if he took off.

    2. Jordan

It’s not just Genie+ people in that line though. Some are with ADA and that line is for those that purchased something so they don’t have to wait for very long, so it makes sense that they would send a lot of people from that side through

This photo of Splash Mountain isn’t even from Walt Disney World.

    1. Ken

So? Did it have to be? It is still Splash Mountain irregardless of which park. Take a deep breath and relax. You will be ok….

  4. Where was she at 6 a.m. on Christmas morning?? What park is open that early???

    1. Steven

None of them so I don’t think this happened at DisneyWorld unless this interaction was with another cast member.

  5. Brooke

Cast Members – if any guest calls you an expletive, or yells at you, get Security or better yet, get the Sheriff Deputies to escort them out. That’s the only way this trash behavior stops. Zero tolerance. The Cast Members aren’t paid nearly enough to tolerate this crap. And we are paying more than ever to go to the parks, I don’t want to see fighting, hear fighting, or hear anyone insulting anybody.

Plot Twist: She is a B

  7. Ken

You are correct that the parks don’t open that early but the cast members have to get to work early and do set ups, safety checks on the rides, meetings to discuss pertinent information for the day, ride closures and tonz more. They don’t just get there and open immediately. I thought though it was when she got off of work not when she arrived.

  8. Laramie

People are so disrespectful anymore and it’s only going to get worse looking at how people att are reason there kid today with out respecting . others Disney need to start kicking the people who disrespect the employees off the ride that time

  9. Ava

Anyone who has ever had to work in a customer-facing environment, from restaurants to retail stores, have to face nasty customers. People suck. And I’m sure they suck even more when it’s 90 degrees and they’ve been waiting on a line for two hours. Deescalating is part of the job.

  10. Chuck

That’s funny because I’ve noticed a big uptick in cast members yelling at guests and being rude to guests.

  11. People need to remember that the Cast Members are overworked and underpaid since Disney has not hired enough people to run the parks. We all need a little extra patience when dealing with Cast Members especially when things go wrong in the park.

  12. JC

Overall, the magic is gone from the parks. The powers that be have ruined the experience on a number of levels in my opinion.
