Here’s a WILD idea… you ready… How about instead of worrying about theme parks catering to your obese ass how about trying to get healthy and loose some weight. I see you have your priorities straight.

    1. Sharna

Why did I know the first comment was going to be some rude judge mental response. You have no idea what her situation is. There a millions of people that have disorders genetic or otherwise that cause problems with weight. Not all heavy people are just gluttons or lazy. The average size in American is a 14-16 for women and even that is considered obese. Don’t judge someone’s life before you know the full story. Even if there isn’t a story ,people should not be shamed for there appearance or made to feel less than or not belonging because of societal pressure and stereotypes of what is beautiful . Universal studios is another park that is not fluffy friendly either . So that means we should just never go anywhere or do anything because these companies cater to one specific market of people? I get so tired of people being ugly and companies ignoring the majority.

      1. TheGroom

        Come on!

Companies ignoring the majority? Seriously? You think a majority of customer are so large that they don’t fit in rides security gear? No. Just no. That’s not the majority, far from that!

And the theme parks are in no way shamign them for being fat. They’re not pointing and laughing at fat people. Quite the contrary in fact, because they put test seats outside the rides, so the people who don’t fit won’t have to wait for nothing, nor will they be displayed as a show for the people waiting when they’ll try to seat in the ride.

Yes, there might be a story, she might be fact for another reason than the fact that she eats a lot (I’m not potentially shaming her here, just stating a fact. I personnaly love to eat, therefore, I’m fat too, that’s a fact not an offense), but that doesn’t change the fact that she IS fat, and don’t fit in those seats.
You can’t expect the world to adapt to you, no matter your reason to be as you are.

Especially on rides, where security is the number one concern. There are weight limits. There are size limits. There are mechanical constraints.

So yes, it is too bad for her that she doesn’t get to ride those rides, but there is nothing to complain about here. Can’t ride this one? Go on another one. Can’t ride any? Well, you’ve learned your lesson. Either you want to ride them and you can change your body, then do.
Or you don’t care that much about riding them, or you don’t wanna change your body, then don’t come back.
Or you wanna ride them and don’t want to/can’t change your body, well, too bad for you.
It’s sad, but again, the world doesn’t have to adapt to you.

        1. Nikki

So we have to be accepting of every other lifestyle but obese people. It’s still okay to shame them man aren’t you a jerk and a bigot.

          1. KKat

They’re not being a bigot. They admitted that they toowere fat. They were just giving a reality check. Let me guess, you’re a big gal too….

        2. Stop

This. Exactly this. Couldn’t have said any of this better myself. The world is not obligated to adapt to you, plus how would that even work? Double wide chairs just for morbidly obese people that over the safe weight limit? People need to grow up and realize nothing has changed just because you really really want it to. That’s life. Get over it.

        3. Jewel

If she can’t change her size she has to join all the other people that can’t ride for medical and/or other reasons. Should they slow the rides so people with heart issues can ride. Or don’t have any sudden turns so people with back and neck issues can ride. Oh and maybe they should redesign the seats so pregnant women can ride. Get over yourself.

        4. Hiw

If she got on that ride she would take down everyone with her .

      2. Tony

The population of obese individuals who have no control over their weight is a very small percentage. Let’s be honest. We are living in a time where people believe it’s acceptable to be overweight and say people are “body shaming” if they disagree.

        1. Steph

          Agreed! 100%.

      3. Steve

        You are fat, aren’t you?

        1. Aren’t you you like to eat don’t you you can’t talk about th kettle when it’s not black and your color blind so you must be racist too

          1. choice by Unhealthy

Nobody is outraged, by the “You must be this tall to ride this ride” signs, because it isn’t a reflection of lifestyle and decisions. They can’t change their habits to gain a few inches, but a guy like me 5’9 275 can. If you don’t want to change, that’s on you. Just don’t expect the rest of society to accommodate you for that choice.

      4. sl.ut.observers

Did you know chairs were smaller everywhere until around 1989? Then all of the sudden two people could sit in one chair around 2010. It’s an epidemic of people that truly just eat to much and don’t move enough. Obese people, eat themselves into these disorders you mention.

        1. Judy kunsman

Yes, a good majority of Americans are of a “LARGER” PROFILE and it would be nice to see this world move away from the “Twiggie” mentality and get with the here and now!
Narrow-minded individuals need to grow up and start getting into the “Real World”!

          1. Elizabeth

As a world we do not exersize, go outside or even eat “normal” portions… everything food wise is supersized.. it does not need to be!!eat what you need not everything in sight…yes there is a minority of people who can not loose weight… it’s a small minority. The people making three trips to the Buffett are the majority..

          2. Stop

Yeah let’s all become hardcore smokers while we’re at it. Can’t wait to stash a pack of smokes under a big skin roll. If someone complains about my disgusting storage flaps I’ll just yell at them about body shaming and say I can’t help it because pure burger grease by the bucket is just too damn good how could I not drink it for breakfast lunch and dinner. Impossible.

          3. Desagree

I’m sorry, the fact that every time more people are getting overweight doesn’t mean everyone has to do the same. It’s unhealthy and makes you sick. Get into good habits, take care of yourself and make an effort to be healthier than the others. It’s not body shame but a personal goal.

      5. Mindy

Oh come on, this country’s never been fatter. Don’t tell me the majority of fat people are fat because of medical or genetic reasons. Most are fat because of poor diet and lack of eating. Let’s call it what it is: laziness.

        1. Mindy

          *lack of exercise*

      6. Mindy

Also, stopping giving cutesy names for what it really is: fat. And no one is making fun of fat people. I honestly don’t care if they’re fat. It affects them, not me, but don’t give their lifestyles cute names.

      7. Me

        Shut up fatty

        1. Nia

Shut the hell up , jerk , have fun in hell

      8. The Anti-Karen

I don’t think this person would be out here getting flamed as a hungry hungry hippo if she didn’t go “hey, these rides aren’t designed for hungry hungry hippos! They seem to only be designed for people across the healthy/average body spectrum!”

Some people have an issue but there’s literally tons (pun intended) of them that could absolutely turn their weight around and don’t. For the ones who can’t, and it’s not as many as you think.. most doctors would argue that obesity is not inevitable but some may need additional steps to correct beyond just “living a healthy lifestyle”. If you’re fine with putting on the pounds, you’ve got the freedom and all the fast food to do so! But, it’s not the world’s job to make living with obesity non-essentials for you. If you can’t fit into a ride because changing “is hard” or “I don’t like medicine” or “operations to correct this scare me” then that’s your choice, but at the same time.. you’ve chosen to live a life where you might not fit into a carnival ride…

        1. 22202 Anonymous

Anti-Karen, I think you answered best here from what I’ve read so far on these comments.

        2. Climbingmom

          Anti Karen, well said

        3. NiaNNNNia

Shut the hell up , your nothing but a rude person

      9. Tat

        Well said

      10. Christie

People are overweight because of lifestyle, calorie intake, economic issues, or in a small portion genetic or health related. The fact is McDonald’s and Taco Bell are rich and prevalent for a reason. So while a SMALL percentage of people are overweight due to no causes outside of their control. At least 75% of the population can address it. So stop with the complaints and do something. The theme parks are not the issue.

        1. John

          Fatty make a funny!?

      11. Aaron parry

It’s physics, just like an elevator. Most rides have safety limits in order to prevent injury and litigation. If a ride goes beyond its capacity there will be failure. Elevators have limits for the same reason.

        1. 2202 Anonymous

Aaron Perry I agree & I’m even overweight. I agreed to The Anti-Karen’s comment too.

      12. Jade

I’m a fat person. It’s a struggle but the 1st time I couldn’t fit in a ride I made a turnaround. Went from too fat too fat. I still worry about being denied access but my choices got me here. I don’t think you could safely make rides to fit everyone in the world unfortunately

        1. G

Jade I applaud you for making changes & your spot on comment!

      13. Babu Doress

Why did I know the first response to the first comment was somebody trying o credibly hard to ignore a person’s personal responsibility and point to obese people with genetic issues withch make up a small portion of the obese population. Telling people it is okay and healthy to be obese is incredibly damaging.

      14. Carla

Whatever her issue is that makes her obese, that is her own issue, not the ththemoark’s issue. I have struggled with my weight my whole life, and while not obese to the point of fitting in seats, I am very aware my weight is MY issue, not society’s to solve. Maybe stop trying to convince people being obese is just as healthy as not. It isn’t.

      15. Cheri

        Totally agree with you!

      16. Nick

It’s not a matter of catering to one specific market. If they made seats and restraints big enough to fit 350, 400, 450 lb people, how are they supposed to secure a child, or even an average size adult. I agree that people shouldn’t be shamed for body issues that they can do nothing about. Being fat is not one of those issues. Every single person that has ever existed can lose weight. People just chose not to.

      17. Bobb

There’s also physics whether you care to admit it or not. Physics doesn’t care if your sad, hurt or killed. Just ask the kid who was 90lb too big for the ride that killed him.

      18. OhWOWeh

Calories are energy, there are some people who are more fule efficient with their calories. However there is no person ever that just generates their own energy or has calories forced into them without consent. You have to use energy to move and do things, but if you don’t your body stores it. Some ppl store energy more efficiently, yes. However if you have a efficient body that stores energy well it would mean you can eat less and do more. Not store more cause you’re good at it.

      19. Suzanne

How sad it is that people can’t accept another who doesn’t “fit” their idea of an average size human. My granddaughter always felt depressed over not being able to ride the rides made for her age when she was just a kid. she fits the description of “plus” but she isn’t fat. She was born at 9lb15oz! Grown into a young adult now who is over 6ft tall and built like a linebacker!! Taller than all her friends and most adults. She cannot change her birth size. She is healthy and does not eat junk food or drink soda. No Diet or fitness plan could change how God made her. Nothing can make her tiny! Rude, Small minded people need to just look around and see we humans are ALL sizes. The world needs to include these people!

        1. Sj

You a damn lie, if she’s built like a linebacker she’s eating junk food. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Call a spade a spade. I’m a 6’1 male and was slim I’m highschool at 170lbs, got up to 250lbs and was fat, looked in the mirror and said hey I’m fat let me do something about this and so I did. She’s as big as she is because she’s either happy with her weight or nothing bad enough has occurred for her to say she would actually work towards being slimmer

      20. Michael

They’re not wrong. If you don’t want watch your weight then expect to be excluded out most fun activities. We don’t need some hoho guzzler causing a ride to collapse and kill people.

        1. Sj

          HoHo Guzzler lolololololololol

      21. Your disapointed father

You could go to a gym

      22. Fact

I’m 6’0″ 300 lbs. I don’t get mad at car makers, because I can’t fit in their car and demand that they make a car to fit me. I find a car that I can fit in comfortably and I deal with it. Most people are obese due to poor choices they make. Instead of pointing the finger at other people and getting mad because the world won’t cater to them, they need to turn their attention inward and work on themselves.

      23. JeffT

Maybe they’re actually not ignoring the majority?

      24. Dalles

        Thank you!!!!!

      25. Johnson

Calm down trigger happy. Fat people are not healthy. Period. Being overweight isn’t healthy.

      26. Hox

What does sexual orientation have to do with her perceived plight? Sick of hearing about how fatties have it so bad in society much less when they try to conflate issues to gain pity or outrage. Lose some weight. I assure you, you can.

      27. Steven Garcia

I am considered “obese” (I think BMI over 40) and I can still fit in all the seats. Biology can only make you so fat. Once you’re fatter than that… That’s a personal/lifestyle choice.

      28. Kat

They weren’t being a bigot or a jerk. They admitted that they too are fat. They were simply giving a reality check.

Let me guess, you’re a big gal too…..

      29. KTB

        TLDR;
How did I know the first comment was going to be someone trying to make an excuse FOR her.
Listen kid, any fat person eats too much crap and they should stop. Period. Grow up.

      30. How

        Know when cares

      31. Hiw

If she got on the ride she would break it because she is fat and if she lost weight then she could probably fit

      32. Kari Mylo

Theme parks were mostly built before so many people were fat. And the percentage of fat people who have an actual issue like a genetic problem that makes them gain so much weight they are that big is like 1 in every 20 million. Probably even less. A thyroid issue of great severity only makes you gain an additional 30 pounds max. The rest of the weight gain is the person eating too much. And I have been extremely fat and extremely skinny. I have found a nice slightly chubby middle ground that I like. But I never expected the entire world to retool everything to accommodate me as the outlier. That’s just entitled selfish ass behavior. She obviously has no issues other than eating as do 99.9% of morbidly obese people. You don’t get that big from a disease or condition. Sorry. I know a lot of fat people like to tell themselves that. I’m just so happy I had a no nonsense doctor early in my adult life. He took no excuses and explained the damage I was doing to my body. It’s not healthy and to try and continue to normalize slowly killing yourself is like defending smoking. It’s not at all good to be morbidly obese. And she definitely has issues from her weight. No one is healthy at that weight. And I am really sick of everyone acting like we should celebrate visibly unhealthy people. People literally commiting slow suicide.

    2. sl.ut.observers

      Amen!!!!

    3. Truth Hurts

I bet if you pulled your head out of your ass you might not be so miserable and pathetic. You may even be able to find a job so you can actually go to a theme park one day. There’s no way you’d fit in any type of restraint until you fix the location of your head though

      1. Drew

So my wife and I are fat… What are we supposed to do about this , lose weight? Ok, that sounds simple. We got fat by eating too much and being too lazy. We also solved this problem the same way… Diet and Exercise. I lost 80lbs she lost 100 lbs and now we fit in seats, are way more comfortable, and so much happier. Was it easy….NO, was it worth it to get off our fat lazy assee…YES! If you don’t want to be fat only you can fix it.

        1. Christie

Amen! And Great job! That is a huge effort on both your parts!

        2. Jayne D

Yep. Same here. I was morbidly obese, dropped all fast and processed foods and bought a treadmill. A year later, I’m down 130 pounds, feel great and fit everywhere.

        3. Nick

Good job bro, congrats of ur weightloss

        4. Bobb

Gasp, I’m sure it’s somehow racist, or bigoted or misogynistic to suggest losing weight.

    4. IDGAF

I’m with you on this one. I lost 85 lbs so I know the struggles but would never blame theme parks to not catering to my old fat self. If your too large, don’t try and ride or just stay home.

    5. Dawn

So what would your answer be to my son and myself? There are plenty of rides that neither of us fir in because of our height. In fact, my sons legs are so long that he can’t ride Space Mountain, the lap bar won’t go past his knees…. I barely fit, my knees are right at the bar. There are plenty of reasons people cannot ride rides due to size in one way or another. Many of which cannot be helped.

      1. Judy

Every person here is grossly misinformed and it shows. Thank you for showing sensibility.

      2. Sj

I feel as though you mentioned height just to be heard to be honest. Everyone here is talking about weight because we all know that’s something that can be worked on and changed. We all know there is nothing that can be done about height. It sucks to be too tall just like it sucks to be too short but you known there is nothing that can done about that

    6. Drew

Amen brother I’m tired of being skinny shamed. America has become the land of the fat and its horrible. People need to change.

    7. P

What my captain said. If you care go to tge gym or diet don’t bame the park… like you’ve been to the actual park.

    8. J

This is the problem when you start catering to small, special interest groups, now everybody thinks they’re entitled to be catered to. Woke BS has caused this decline into the entitled/ offended Olympics.

    9. Michelle

At least weight is a problem that can be fixed. Sadly you can’t fix stupidity and ignorance.

    10. Captain Oblivion How are you going to label a teenager who is just trying to have fun I bet you are a fat @$$ yourself you just need to make yourself feel better talking about someone you don’t even know and I know for a fact you wouldn’t say that to someone’s face especially me OH BY THE WAY IM FAT and I know how she feels so pick on someone your own size like me I’m probably taller than you and still look good and you wouldn’t have said that if you are married or have a girlfriend so be honest with yourself and leave us fat people alone first and foremost I am losing weight but I like my size cause I intimidate people but you know it takes a while for people to lose weight so talk about yourself AND I WOULD SO LIKE TO PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE LITERALLY I used to a bully and I am towards people like you and make you cry and piss your pants crying home to ya momma because I don’t take kindly to idiot’s like you and it shows you know how I can tell because you know how they say people only use 5% you don’t even have that because if you did you wouldn’t talk like that about people and one these days you are either going to meet my fat ass and get beat up or beat up by some fat people and I’m telling everybody All the fat people are gonna know about you 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣🤣🤣😅. PS I am telling everybody on Facebook about you 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅.

      1. Sj

        This is a joke right?

    11. Dalles

Do you think that there might be a reason for her to be the way she is. I that way because of being abused as a kid and that’s the way I cope with my feelings. I feel your comment was in a way was helpful, but also disrespectful.

    12. John

Fat people’s minds are fat too! To think that companies should go out of their way to accommodate fat people is a rather obtuse way of thinking. Being different means just that. You take different actions and get different reactions. You can’t change physics and to accommodate is simply ridiculous!

    13. Chris Wood

Speaking as someone who is on the heavy side, I don’t blame other people or cry victim because I can’t fit in a ride easily. That only makes me try to reduce my weight. Granted there are medical reason. Some people can’t loose weight. But I suspect in this guest case, she would rather complain, cry victim and blame everyone else, on tic toc, instead of trying to loose weight.

    14. James

Completely agree. People need to stop playing the victim at every hardship In life.

    15. Diamond

How about not having your head stuffed so far up your a$$ that all you can smell is your own sh!i?

    16. Kathy

      Petfect!!Perfect!!! I love it!

    17. GiGiPeach

How about keeping your smart ass comments to yourself?

    18. Wasted Wulf

Damn. I LIKE YOU. That exactly what I was thinking. 😉

    19. Me

The world can’t cater to every little thing people have , it’s just another excuse to not loose the weight

    20. Phil

Capt. Obv.. What a RUDE reply. How would you feel if you saved up and traveled and couldn’t experience the rides?

    21. Jonathan

      Agreed

  2. EricJ

How about “Fat people aren’t built for the outside world”?
When you get winded running, or can’t fit comfortably into an airline seat, it’s no longer a matter of “Society’s unrealistic fashion expectations”, or “Freedom to show the world pride in your body image”…

We’re all born at eight pounds, six ounces, but where we go from there is all on us.

    1. Dylan

I am 6′ 6″ and don’t fit on certain rides or I have to hunch over and be uncomfortable the whole ride but I’m not gonna go around saying the rides should be changed to accommodate me because then people that aren’t extraordinarily tall wouldn’t fit safely on the ride. It’s the same thing with being overweight, slimmer people then wouldn’t be able to fit, it sucks but sometimes people who are bigger than the norm (again like myself) don’t get to ride certain rides.

      1. Raven Shelton

There’s a reason small children can’t ride certain rides at a theme park as well. If the ride vehicle is too spacious for the occupant, there’s a risk of them falling out. It’s never in a company’s best interest to exclude people, because that just means fewer potential customers which is always bad for business. If the average person were plus sized, this would not be an issue as the rides would continue to built to accommodate as many people as possible. Unfortunately, no matter how it’s built, there will be outliers on both ends that cannot be permitted to ride due to safety concerns.

      2. Bobb

Yes while that is true, being tall doesn’t involve a perpetual victimhood like being overweight does.

    2. Colton

We’re not all born at 8lbs 6oz though i was almost 10lbs at birth my cousin was 6lbs everyone is born at different weights

      1. Sj

Don’t act like that. You know what he meant. Don’t be a smart ass.

    3. Well my family has the opposite problem. All petite and healthy. Don’t feel securely held in. My 26 year old who is 101 & extremely healthy almost fell out of restraints at universal. Cousins on both sides holding her in. It wasn’t funny. And she’s not underweight. Perfect weight for a girl her height, &age & build according to 1980 medical charts. My 12 year old is not tall enough for most of the rides. According to the law she still needs to be in car seat because she can’t break 70lbs, but what 7th grader wants to be put in car seat. It is what it is. We laugh alot because my oldest gets carded or they ask for her manager or which high school she goes to (she graduated college 4 years ago). When my youngest was in 5th grade they had sub.bus driver who insisted she sit in the front seat with the other kindergartens.

      1. sl.ut.observers

How tall is she? Cause I have an eleven year old girl 90lbs 5’2 and she goes on every ride loving life completely secure every time…

      2. Nancy

Had the same issue with our daughter! She was tiny and was a gymnast. Hee being small worked out well for being a gymnast but everyone thought she was much younger because of her size!

    4. It’s not the fat people that have a problem It’s the obese that usually can’t get on the rides. I’m on the thicker side but I fit on the rides. 😁

    5. Caitlyn

“We’re all born at 8 pounds”. Nope. I was born at damn near 11 pounds. My mother never let’s me forget it. I also have a wide frame and was literally told by my own doctor that if I were to weigh less than 200 I would look anorexic. I also happen to have PCOS and couldn’t lose weight even if I wanted to, and believe me I’ve tried. The number of women with PCOS is staggering tbh, and although not all of them are fat, a lot are and they all have the same issue I have. It’s literally a side effect/symptom of PCOS. You gain weight easily and it’s almost impossible to lose. I’m so tired of hearing that people with no control over their weight due to medical issues are not as common. They are. You just can’t tell by looking at them and they have no obligation to disclose their medical issues, so you all just assume we exist in small numbers. We don’t.

    6. Dawn

Not everyone is born at 8lbs 6 oz. My cousin was 13 lbs and my son was 6 lbs. You are just being judgemental and close minded.

      1. Standing ovation

It’s no different than a height requirement for a child, you are not entitled to experience everything in life. That’s the brutally honest truth. Figure it out, or get used to not going to parks. You are not a main character in this life

    7. Daniel

      I was born at 10lbs 11oz.

  3. Nicola

I can confirm that this is not just an issue for anyone who is bigger than the average Joe. My partner has the same issues however is also has wider built upper body. I’ve been at Universal studios with him and he can fit on some rides but others her can’t. For example Harry Potter he can’t fit into the seat because of his shoulders. I’ve seen videos of nba players being refused on the same ride due to their height. Theme parks do have some seats for bigger guests but the way the rides are being made now it’s not just about if the lap bar will go over your head or if the seat belt will fit. They’re making other restrictions that you just can change physically. So to say to people lose weight that’s not always going to work!

  4. Steve

    Lose some weight, fatty.

  5. James O'Reilly

Next time eat a salad then

  6. Her Problem Isn't Weight It's Intelligence

I’m fat and even I know that rides are engineered with limits to their stresses, both material and biological. If you design the restraints to accommodate us, you risk structural failures, resulting in more repair costs and/or death. Also our bodies can’t handle as much stress and shock as an average person’s can. So accommodating plus sizes would make some of us experience discomfort and pain at best and death at worst.

I’m not saying accommodations shouldn’t be made for us. They absolutely should when necessity dictates and when feasible, but a theme park is neither of those reasons and this girl needs to learn some personal responsibility.

    1. Standing ovation

Why should accomodations be made at all?

  7. Adam

A healthy diet and some exercise will help that problem go away.

  8. Sounds like you’re busy might be considered obese medically speaking. Maybe less TRT?

  9. Yes, I agree Theme parks cater to specific type of people it’s call normal/average size. Most ride go by how tall and weight so that things like falling off won’t happen. Easier to tell people to get off the ride than redesign the ride for obese people.

  10. Robert

Im Sorry but “FAT ASS’s” Shouldn’t need accommodations if the ride cannot support them to bad there’s also Small, Tall & other people who can’t ride ether do to there appearance

  11. Racer

    Lose weight you fat pig.

  12. Tinkerbell

They are made for the sizes that are most common in the general population. Itd be like me getting mad because my 4 year old is to small for a ride. Not safe to small or to big.

  13. Alezs

It’s her fault, why should we cater to obese people as if it’s a disability. It’s not!

    1. Elaine

Actually, they have warnings for people with disabilities, too. Not everyone can ride every ride.

  14. Sicilianbeauti

I’m short. I also have heart issues. But you don’t see my ass running around to every ride checking to see which ones I can and can’t ride! If you don’t fit, it’s not the parks fault. That’s a personal issue. You don’t go trying on every pair of pants then complain to the clothing manufacturer about the ones that don’t fit you, do you?

    1. shawtiegosplat

You don’t check the rides before riding? What if you didn’t meet the requirements one time and due tonyour height slip out of the seat? Just because you are willing to donate your life to someone else doesn’t mean everyone is willing to die for someone else.

  15. Andrew

Maybe they just don’t want their rides to break.

  16. Sarah

Holy hell, these comments are atrocious. There is no reason to be a complete a-hole.

    1. realgirlnotphatgirl

Fat people aren’t complete “a-holes”? They are gluttons and gluttony is a sin because it takes food away from others and girls should no better than to take food from others and make their bodies ugly for when its time to bring the cow to the market. No sympathy for fatties, its called impulse control, we all have one.

    2. Steve

When you go on the internet to shame people for your own bad decisions and demand everyone change for you, expect push back.

    3. Standing ovation

Theres no reason to be a complete fat ass waste of space.

  17. realgirlnotphatgirl

At first I thought that was a 12 year old woman because you see them that big that young. Disgusting, if my father ever saw me filling my face the way these American girls in the midwest do then my father would whip his out and teach me how to eat like a real woman. Fat women need to put the spoon down and pick up a real weight. Cows.

    1. Me

The woman in the article is from the United Kingdom, thank you very much

      1. Red

Im sorry they had this experience, but where does it end? The park need to install a lazy boy couch so they can go on a ride?

What about when someone even bigger comes along? You install a sofa?

No way parks or any other buisiness can accomodate everyone, they do what they can in the limits of safety. If you are BEYOND those limits that 95% are safe in, its unfortunate

    2. Lani

I am a fat woman, losing weight has always been a struggle, eating healthy and exercising has become easier but losing the weight is still hard. My husband and I went to Disneyland in 2018. I was nervous that I wouldn’t fit on any of the rides. I did fit on all the ones we went on, though some was a wee bit tight. I hope next time we go I will be in a lot better shape. Got to get healthy for my family and myself.

  18. Kaycee

Owa park in Foley Alabama is also not for overweight people. I just don’t go! But their weight limit is not achievable by many normal sized people either. You better be skin and bones

  19. Katy

The fat shaming is unbelievable. These people deserve to enjoy life too. Why not just make the rides to hold more weight and have special cars for it. Stop fat shaming people.

    1. Steve

      Stop eating.

      1. Katy

People can’t just stop eating. You should really quit being so mean on purpose.

        1. Standing ovation

They can stop eating the twinkies, burgers and sodee pops. Bunch of damn wastes of space

        2. Steve

Being fat is a first world problem. Only entitled fat losers think they need special treatment because they chose to be fat.

    2. Chris

Obesity puts stress on your body, so do these rides. It’s just not safe for them

      1. Sbk

There are restrictions for reasons! Rides and the materials can’t hold up to the stress of constant use from that kind of weight. There are plenty of people on the other end of the spectrum that are too small. Life is not “fair” . No one is entitled to everything being accommodated to them.

    3. Standing ovation

Fat people should be shamed. Shame is something we need back into American society

  20. I’m a large man who has gone to a number of theme parks on the eastern side of the US. The worst fitting rides for me, with about 3/4 of those I attempted not fitting, were at Hershey Park, in PA (which is ironic considering you can buy a 10# chocolate bar in all of its shops). The best fit was at Cedar Point, in OH, where at every ride I attempted (at 6’2″, 350), I fit. Highly recommend Cedar Point.

    1. Jordon

Hershey Park definitely has bizarrely shaped restraints on some of their rides. I know if a woman has medium to large breats they have to wait for a “extra large” seat on the great bear or they won’t fit. That ride especially is basically designed for a high beer belly body shape.

  21. David

Darling, slim down and you’ll fit to that chair! Shall I complain about Primark not supplying clothes for my size? No, I shan’t! But still, I need to go somewhere else? You can go to… Hmm… The gym??? I’m planning to!
    Come and join me!

    1. Einstein

At 6’1 and 260 I can tell you I fit on every ride at Universal. Don’t need the fat seat on rows 1,4,5,8 on Hulk either. I laugh at the whole “I’m a victim” mentality. People like her are going to want people with casts to be able to ride. Going to ask for the basketball hoop to be lowered so they can dunk. Ask for marathons to be shorter so they can participate. News flash,, not everyone gets to bang the homecoming king or queen. Not everyone gets to be valedictorian. How bout as a society we just realize and agree that people just don’t get to do everything, and then move on. Common sense isn’t so common anymore. This all starts with parents not telling their children no and breeding a sense of entitlement and its disgusting.

  22. Children Live What They Learn…. Parents have to be more careful. Ya know.
I was a fat kid for a majority of my young life.
Completely sad! I recall my mom crying a few times, she blamed herself for my being overweight.
My dad owned a construction company and had a lot of workers in and out everyday. They came there on breaks to eat. There was always good food in our home.
Late 30’s I was done frightening it and had surgery.
I’ve kept the weight off for about 15 yrs now.

  23. Afmag

Aren’t the parks who makes rides. It’s an engineered company that according to the physics-based and gravity laws designs the rides.
They don’t matters If people are skinny, fat, short or tall, they makes reliable rides according to the planet we live on.

  24. Still losing

It’s called exercise. You can eat anything you want if you exercise enough of the calories to make up for it. I’ve been there. Put down the sodas and pick up the water. Exercise. Also put down fb. Huge waste of time. Social media is a monster. Almost as bad as these google notifications I get snookered into. That time could be better used doing something physical, even if it’s not exercise all the time, clean the house, take out the trash, mow the yard, go volunteer doing something. Just move your body. Gotta go move mine. See ya.

  25. Tony

Lose some weight fatass!! Problem solved!

  26. Being over weight is for most people a choice. Being bullied for it doesn’t help. Don’t hold her hand either. If she choose to be over weight that’s all on her. Not a pun. But she or other can’t expect the world to coddle them. If you don’t fit safely you don’t ride!!! I got fat shamed by my new Dr. I’m 160 at 5 foot 3 and 60 years old. She says I should weigh 120. She weighs 90 pounds and is about my height.

  27. MomOf3Cuties

Recently went to Universal Studios Florida (June 2022) – I’m 5’9”, female, and 260 lbs. I fit on everything except VelociCoaster. My issue? Hypothyroidism. I intermittent fast from 7pm – 12 noon every day, and have done this for 2.5 years.

Sometimes it *IS* a legitimate medical issue.

    1. Standing ovation

Stop fasting, it tells your body to store fat because it feels it doesn’t know when it will be fed. 6-8 small meals ever 2-3 hrs. Bodybuilder for the last decade

  28. Brian

How safe is the ride if they expand the seats to accommodate the “fluffy” riders for the less then portly people? The seats would be dangerously too large for them and they would fall out easier even with a seatbelt in place.

  29. Carl

How about you stop eating everything you see and try losing some weight fatty? We went to Universal last year and I’m by no means a “fit” person. I had put on weight and I couldn’t fit into the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey seats. I didn’t cry, put up a stink, or notify the media. When we got home I started a diet and exercise program and I have lost almost 40 pounds since the beginning of the year.

  30. Jordon

I’ll just say this, I was obese until last year and honestly except for theme park rides I didn’t realize just how big I was. There were 2 roller coasters that I had to really suck in to get the harness to fit which obviously resulted in an uncomfortable ride.
I never thought I could lose the weight, but with hard work, dedication, and most importantly a change in how I think about food I was able to go from morbidly obese to normal/overweight (depending on the day according to BMI). Some people truly don’t realize how big they are until an experience shoves it in their face.

  31. Matt

No sympathy for you. Lose some weight rather than telling society to mold itself to work for you because you’re too lazy to get better. Stop listening to people say your being overweight is beautiful. It’s not. You being a nice person and wonderful personality (the beautiful parts) has nothing to do with your being overweight. If theme park rides were made larger wouldn’t that have a negative effect on holding more thin riders in place? Can’t have it both ways.

  32. Harvey Stevens

Fast people aren’t built for rides, neither far people or people with heart conditions or currently pregnant.
    This far person is slow😁

  33. Harvey Stevens

Fat people aren’t built for rides, neither fat people or people with heart conditions or currently pregnant people.
This fat person is very slow😁

  34. Wanda Mobile

They’re also not built for “short” people. Let’s stop making everything a problem.

  35. Lawrence Lewis

Hell, I’m fat too. You want to ride lose weight.

  36. Queen Jordan

Disregard the ignorant comments. No they aren’t designed for heavier patrons. Nor do they accommodate bustier patrons. The most embarrassing for me was having my cousin scream “suck it in” on a ride with a harness and the worker says “she can’t suck in her boobs”. I left the park completely. I’m sorry for extra tall, hippie women, plus size and busty patrons. They want your money and that”s all

  37. Joesph Weydemann

Making seats useable for hefty people will be expensive. If you make those seats, they will only be usable for the biggest around us. The problem is who is riding the ride most of the time. You have to be X tall to ride but there is a height cut off, 6’4″ cannot ride. I am not large but weight is up there. I dropped 15 pounds so I knew I could make every ride.

  38. Slim

Theme parks make their rides for the average size adult, not for fat people like you. Lose some weight.

  39. RubyEmma

Wow, y’all are bored today. This girl has more of a life than all of you. Maybe take your own advice and do something instead of spreading your hate. You don’t want to turn into your worst nightmare now.

    1. Rm

This girl needs a mental health evaluation. No one should support a lifestyle leading to an early grave. Shame on you.

      1. RubyEmma

Never said I supported her lifestyle. I am on a weight loss journey and feeling better than I ever was. I been in her shoes and never want to go through that again. I actually agree with what people have to say on here but there’s people who are simply just being jerks and give unnecessary advice. I was telling these people to get a life instead of bullying someone on the internet. If your offended by the comment then you should check yourself.

        1. Steve

Sorry, toots. This woman goes on rants about others having to adapt to her poor choices, you bet we get to criticize those choices and her mindset.

  40. HB

Only in America where fat and lazy people try to shame healthy people for their problems.

  41. HS

To be fair, the old engineering standard for human factors was to design your product to fit 95% of the population.
What has changed has been the makeup and variety of that population that to even meet that 95% standard is challenging.
Think of it in terms airline seating. The width of the plane is fixed. The width of the aisle has a minimum to fit the cart as well as be wide enough for egress in an emergency.
There’s only so much you can do to fit 95% of Americans given today’s current physical challenges.
Toss in the mechanics of a roller coaster (think safety, comfort, reliability, etc.) and I hope people can understand that it is literally impossible to fit 100% of the people 100% of the time.

  42. Anon

I can see where she would be frustrated or nervous about getting on rides while being overweight, but not everything can change to accommodate people being plus size. Roller coasters and other rides can only allow certain individuals on rides literally due to safety. I don’t know if anyone here has ever taken physics which is used to create these rides so no one dies, but if someone is too big on a ride it could kill you. That’s sad you feel excluded from riding, but they’re saving your life girl…

  43. Glen

The last thing we need to do is encourage unhealthy lifestyles. No one should be normalize what healthcare professionals would call an “extremely detrimental QoL”.
Instead of acting like the world revolves around you and your poor choices, make an active change for the best better.

  44. Been Dover

Screw that. Its not safe to cater to obesity. You know most of rides have a weight limit right? They are made a certain way for physics and mechanics sake. You have too much mass going a certain speed it won’t turn abruptly it’ll fly off hence why certain rides have a certain number of seats, certain rides require you to sit a certain way. Even in normal circumstances they aren’t always safe, you really want to add more variables to that?. You want rides specifically made accommodate you go to the gym.

  45. Anonymous 2022

I feel for this young girl. I can personally relate, since I’ve been overweight most of my life. I experienced similar to what this girl did at this attraction theme park, when I was at Universal Studios in Orlando FL with my hubby several years ago. When I was in the Harry Potter themed area, my hubby & I went to ride the big ride that’s in there. I can’t remember the rides name. We went thru the whole long walking part of the ride where you see lots of cool stuff & I loved it at that time we were there back that several years ago. Then after what I think was a couple hours of wait walking, I came to find I was too big to fit in the rides seats. It was such a disappointment after such a long wait. But while I was upset I was cool about it. Well mostly LOL. I did express a little of my disappointment verbally. Just with saying how it was BS to find out AFTER walking thru that long walk of wait time to find out & that I was disappointed. But the walk thru during the wait time was fun & the ride probably would’ve scared me anyway LOL & made my body hurt worse then it already hurt due to a fall injury I had a long while back. So it was obviously a good thing & meant to be thing that I couldn’t ride it. But it was just disappointing having to find out I couldn’t ride it til AFTERWARDS of such a long walk & wait. So I get how this young girl feels. And I do know the Harry Potter ride was mostly made to be for teens but I grew up as a teen when Harry Potter came out so I wanted to try the ride is all. Although how I became overweight wasn’t my fault but instead fault of the steroid I was put on as a kid for being scarcely too small at that time, I do know my still being overweight today is my own fault & can be fixed, & I’m working on it. Just sharing here a disappointing experience I had with a attraction theme park ride while being overweight & showing I understand this girls disappointment.

  46. Jim

I mean she’s right. They’re not built for overweight people. They’re built for the general population, so it can be as safe, but also as comfortable as possible, for as many people as possible. If they started building these to cater to a group with a different body size other then the general population now it’s everyone else that’s having an uncomfortable time. That’s why they have rules on like how tall you have to be to ride these things. It’s because it was built to cater to as many people as possible, but still be safe. Also to my knowledge most roller coasters do have weight limits because, again, it’s built for the general population.

  47. Mark

There’s an easy fix and I don’t want to hear about how it’s hard for some people and bla bla bla. It’s hard for everyone. But the fact of the matter is you need to eat healthy and exercise and you won’t have to worry about such stupidity.

  48. Barcode

Well, you need to consider the law of averages. When these parks were designed, especially in the US, obesity wasn’t as rampant of an issue as it is now. So the parks built the rides based off Of average heights and weights of people that would visit their businesses.

As a tall person, I know this and I deal with it. I have to squish into some rides and others I pass altogether because my knees will get wrecked.

Maybe it’s up to you to take personal stock of what public activities your body type will allow?

  49. Dennis

“A woman worried about how her appearance,” this has nothing to do with your appearance dear. If you’re too tall, too short, too light, or to heavy for a ride or it’s restraints, for safety reasons, you’re not going to be able to ride. Of course, that also includes those who can’t fit in the seat. I feel that they should overbuild these machines to be able to handle 1000lbs, but at some point there is a compromise where it possibly endangers the smallest among us who could slide out of a seat or seat restraint that is too large for them. So that is just the reality, that perhaps those under 100lbs and those over say 400lbs are at a heightened risk due to mechanical and logistical compromises.

    1. Myles McArthur

Rollercoasters are built at a high factor of safety and can handle the twice the weight of the largest person that could fit in a restraint at minimum position. The safety of seats and restraints are limited by human volume.

  50. Cam

You know why the seats are small? Because these thrill rides are dangerous. This has nothing to do with discrimination and everything to do with safety. She already mentioned the American boy who died exceeding the weight limit

  51. Laura

I agree with the guy saying to loose weight! People are always blaming others take responsibility for yourself!!!

  52. GhostTomahawk

Let’s super size these rides for fat people so everyone else can fly out of them! No? Not the liability laden population control you’re looking for?

  53. Jim

I’m fat, I couldn’t go on a ride at Busch Gardens because of my size. I didn’t criticize theme parks for bit catering to heavy people.

I lost 80lbs so I could ride the rides next time, In addition to the obvious health benefits of losing that much weight

  54. Not fat guy

People weren’t made to be fat

  55. Anon

A theme park ride is not a human right lol. It’s a fun activity, sure, but nothing you’d ever need to do. It seems like a weird thing to prioritize. If I were obese my main concern would be all the other things my weight prevented me from doing, like fitting on a bike seat or running and playing with my child. Her weight probably prevents her from experiencing A lot of things that normal sized people can in life. Addressing ur size issue seems like a more important concern than a theme park ride accommodating you.

  56. heystickman

This isn’t zootopia, we can’t build separate things for different sizes of people.

  57. Jess

Well here’s the thing. You chose that lifestyle. Regardless of how everyone wants to cry and say poor me, you choose to be unhealthy and eat things that give you instant gratification instead of what’s good for you. It’s not normal or healthy to be obese and overweight. A rude awakening but while you’re young you should take this as a clue. Theme park rides will be the least of your worries as you age. And get ready for an expensive future due to your unhealthy habits. Stop being a snowflake and take small steps to change. You’re also putting other people in danger as well if you don’t follow their rules. These places are designed for quite a variety of individuals regarding height and weight. So do your best to get in those guidelines if that’s what you wish to do, otherwise stop complaining. This won’t be the last of the things you won’t be able to do. Hike a mountain, pull yourself up on a boat after snorkeling or swimming, bend down to tie your shoe, carry your kid, there will be many more things you won’t be capable of doing in the future if you don’t get healthier now. Including a more expensive casket. So your choice.

  58. Shawn

So they should make the ride unsafe for 99% of the population?
You are the one that needs to make the adjustment, not the rest of us.
Loose some weight, then you can participate.

  59. Krieg

I bet she can’t run a marathon, either, but does that mean I shouldn’t be allowed to do so?

Not everyone can have the same experiences in life. If I were that overweight I couldn’t ride the same rides she can’t now. That’s fair and how life should work.

  60. Denise Blados

Rides are made to be safe not cater to those who cannot safely ride due to medical or physical conditions. In my 59 years, I have had a number of weight gains. Especially, after having children. Now, being at the age where my metabolism is slowed down and hormones are changing, I packed it on. What did I do? I got a treadmill and get my ass on it everyday for 50+ minutes. The weight is now slowly coming off. I hate the feeling of being fat. People need to take responsibility for their own personal well-being and stop expecting others to cater to them.

  61. Mikehunt

Fat people aren’t built for rides.. Or life

    1. SJ

You shouldn’t ride or live too but we can’t all win

  62. Wolf

It’s not even the parks fault for not having “accessible rides” they just buy the rides from other companies that designed them. But as a previous ride technician I can say that the regulations on how big each seat can be for a ride are there for a reason, we don’t want final destination happening due to malfunction. Plus on the safer rides a lot of times parks are lenient on the regulations, and just repair the extra ware and tear more regularly

  63. Richard

Really you just figured that out that after all these years that some theme park rides are not for big people 🤔 🙄 😒 😐

  64. Christian W

So what , and door frames aren’t accommodating to tall people . I’m 6’8 and walk into quite a few . At least obese people can lose weight , I can’t exactly chop off my shins . It’s my fault I don’t duck enough … I live with it

  65. No

So… That’s really not the theme parks concern. (being “inclusive” when it comes to weight)…. There LITERATELY is a weight limit per safety features and if you’re a certain weight they will falter…. That’s why them parks aren’t “built for fat people.”….. It had nothing to do with “discrimination”, and everything to do with safety… 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I am almost 300lbs and I know this….. I’m tired of everything being about “inclusion” and “discrimination” when it’s not always, at all, about that….

  66. Studmuffin

Stop normalizing being obese. We all know it’s unhealthy yet still praise it like it’s some great thing to be. 🤦

  67. Truth Hurts

Fat people live shorter lives. Fact. Fat people have more health issues. Fact. Fat people cost much more in healthcare. Fact.
We need to stop trying to normalize being fat. It’s not normal to have fat shlupping off your body.
The diet industry and food industry go hand and hand together to make tons of money off people.
Take your life into your own hands, eat a salad, and go for a walk.

  68. Saitzev

As an overweight individual (or individuals lol) I cannot sympathize or empathize. Here’s the thing, unless it’s a medically caused issue, being fat is a choice, so you’re only in that position cause you put your fat ass there. No one forced the spoon down your mouth.

The fact the rides aren’t designed for those of us that take up 2 seats goes to show there’s consequences for our choices. I hate the fact I can’t enjoy or do things, but it’s on myself to make the change, not for someone to accommodate laziness.

  69. Bruce

Ummm…yeah. all the more incentive to hit the healthy trail. Don’t blame parks. If the seat fits extremely large it won’t fit 90% of the other people who take care of themselves. Stupid article.

  70. Rebekah

They have to cut off somewhere. What weight do they want that to be? Remember it has to be safe. These rides have long lines so there isn’t a shortage of riders so it’s is catering to a vast population.

  71. Stephanie

One of the worst offenders of this is Avatar: Flight of Passage at WDW. It’s not even a weight issue as much as as it is people with certain body types can’t fit the bikes. It looks like the Tron coaster is going to be a similar situation.

  72. Phat in the Middle

It’s a private business that can cater to whomever it wants. Krispy Kreme isn’t catering to skinny people. You don’t hear us complaining. Also, someone has to say it…”I like big butts, and I cannot lie!”

  73. Joe

Damned engineering. Can’t they shell out another million dollars to make up for the possibility of having a load of lardies into their material costs and modifications after they change all there mathematical specs?

  74. Dustin

The rides are made for a range of the average height and weight person. People who are too short, too tall, too big or too small may not be able to ride the rides for safety concerns. If the companies that pays to design and/or sell their Rollercoaster cater to a smaller demographic then it would be harder to sell their product.

  75. Lmao

Lol that sucks, don’t be a whale then

  76. Dog dad

The funny thing, the last time I was on a plane. Being 167lbs 5’11, I hardly fit in the seat. The man next to me was 180lbs, I think. About 6’11. He wasn’t fat but just big. We knocked elbows and standing up we both hit our heads. I like to know how she travels?

  77. Walter

    Then lose weight big dawg

  78. Yes because if there’s one thing obese people need it’s even more reasons to not change their habits. Instead of getting mad at a park for not taking your cottage cheese thighs and back tits into consideration maybe try to shed a few lbs. nobody ever said being healthy was easy.

  79. Rachel

No, they aren’t. Machines can be built safely for a limited range of sizes- just like someone has to be a certain height to safely ride.
Theme parks are going to go for the median, so the majority of people can ride. Not the top or bottom percentiles. C’mon author, use your brain! It’s about maximizing profits.

  80. Get your fat ass on a treadmill instead of a roller-coaster. Let that be motivation to lose weight

Shut the hell up ,rude person

  81. Wes

This comment section is hell and I should’ve known it would be from the beginning

  82. Chris

My butt is to big to ride a lot of rides. Know who’s fault it is? Mine. I do not expect a park to change because of something I can prevent.

  83. Darkfury

Wait if they were made better for fat people what about smaller kids or smaller thinner people so It wouldn’t work for smaller people

  84. Palo

I’m glad she brought to light. I’ve always loved rollercoaster rides, but as I became more broad chested I was unable to get on rides also cause they would close over my shoulders. It was embarrassing being a larger powerlifter type body, but wasn’t able to get on ride. I hope they change this in all parks.

    1. franklin

She didn’t bring anything to light. Theme park rides have never been designed for fatties or “power lifters.” Don’t expect anything different unless you change your body style to fit in the restraints. Theme parks are not going to be built for people like you in mind.

PS: People with lots of muscles just look gross too.

  85. Kristofer

Coming from a fat guy (280lbs) you can’t expect everyone to cater to you some things are made the way they are because they are safer that way. Nobody made you fat except yourself in the majority of situations (some people actually have health issues that cause weight gain). I went to sea world in Orlando about a month ago and just made 1 click on the krakenride lmao I was nervous.

  86. Laz

As a fat person I’d say it’s the opposite… We aren’t built for rides. Is what it is. I don’t complain, I just don’t get on rides. It’s my problem, not theirs.

  87. Nico

Lose weight. I’ve seen people with debilitating diseases lose 100 pounds. If you want it, you’ll do it. Nobody feels bad for you.

    1. Nia

Shut the hell up ,rude person

  88. Ash

If you don’t see the importance of ride safety due to weight restrictions look up what happened in Orlando to a poor 14 year old kid. Be happy they are strict about it and realize the entire world can’t cater to you

  89. Nia

Shut the hell up , your nothing but a rude person

  90. Noneya

Lose weight 🤷🏼‍♀️ lmao . It’s for safety. A ride that fits a 300 lb women won’t fit a 120 lbs women and vise versa . && god for bid they separate the rides it’s gonna be “well why do the fat ppl have to be excluded “ no one is ever happy 😂 ima bigger girl && I just don’t go on them . Period. Ppl these days feel so entitled. Get over yourself . Fix your our issues .

Had difficulties fitting in seat restraint for top thrill dragster 8 uears ago and I love roller coasters… that was the moment I knew I had ti get it under control. Now 90 lbs lighter (and much healthier after the weight loss) I can fit on any ride- was not easy- no magic pills- took hard work, sweat, tears, set backs, but I made it happen for me.

  92. Cat

The rides certainly aren’t friendly to busty people. If it has to go over my chest and lock there’s no way. I wish they took that into consideration when they build rides. I know safety is important but I feel like they don’t even take the tahtahs into consideration when designing the ride.

A few years ago we went to Lego land in California, and I took my daughter on a ride, and BARELY fit. On a previous trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, I had a few rides (that I had been on years before) that I waited in line for, and had to leave when I could not get the safety restraints to latch. It was very embarrassing to have to leave the loading area with people watching and wait for my friend, all because I was too heavy.

A couple of years ago I hit my heaviest. I’m 5’ 9” and I was 425 lbs. I finally scared myself. I do not ever want to be someone riding around in a mobility scooter because I weigh so much I can’t walk. I now weigh 285. Just got back home from Disneyland where I fit into ride vehicles much more comfortably (even the Matterhorn… as comfortable as one can get on that ride).

I know the feeling of being shamed for being too heavy, and I do believe in being comfortable with yourself and not putting others down. At the same time, while I will NEVER be 120 lbs with a six pack, I sure as heck needed to make changes to lose weight. Being that obese was the result of me making bad choices in diet, not working out, and being lazy. Anyone who is that overweight is guilty of the same. We saw more people on mobility scooters this past trip than I ever remember, and they all were in their 30-40 age range, and way too obese. It was sad to see. They are in control of their bodies, and are choosing to be that unhealthy.
