It won’t change how evil this company is, banning and stealing from harassment and assault victims. Kick Disney out of Florida! #BanDisneyFromFlorida

    1. Idontcare

I think that’s an outstanding idea. Florida losing $5,000,000,000 in annual revenue that the park brings to their economy would be great. It would put you people back in your place where you belong.

      1. Kg

Lol yeah because no one could replace Disney in a heartbeat 😂 lmao…
It’d cost Disney more to move then for them to rebrand the park

        1. Idontcare

And who exactly is going to want to travel to flawduh from all around the world if Disney leaves? No one likes your disgusting, drug ridden, rotten state.

      2. Brandon

I think people like you are exactly what is wrong with our country. You, and most of the liberals, think people need to be “put in their place”. Get over yourself before we put you in your place. You’re the anti-gun people, remember? Oh, wait that’s only for the plebs, all security details should have Ak47s to protect you and your families.

        1. Nottellin

Better to be anti gun than pro misogyny, pro homophobia, hate filled turds, like you.
For the record, I’m not antigun…actually own several.

        2. Idontcare

Cry harder, sweetheart. We have guns too, we just don’t make it a core part of our personality because there’s nothing else remotely interesting or worthwhile about us.

      3. John

        *Universal sitting quietly watching everything.

        1. Joeoe

Is this where to watch the circus of morons arguing over things with little to no correlation to the article is?

      4. Nah

        Lmao seething much, kid?
Cry because you can’t afford to live here on your Taco Bell salary. How many kids do you plan on grooming today, pedo?

        1. Idontcare

I’m not religious. I don’t believe it’s on to sleep with children.

    2. Gigi

It takes a black-hrsrted person not to see hoe special this was for that little girl. I think it was so sweet and made a lifetime memory for her and her family. Leave it to you to make a heartwarming moment politicsl..shame on you!!!!

      1. SimplejackSimplejack

Fox news told him to hate disney. So he hates disney. Simple as that.

    3. Honey

      You have issues.

      Disney is going no where

    8. Nosecone

Congressman Matt Gaetz is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice concerning the possibility that he had sex with a 17-year-old and paid for her to travel with him

  2. Sallie Hart

This shows how truly special Mickey Mouse is and why those special magical moments that he creates show people that Mickey Mouse is loved by millions

    1. Brandon

No, I’m sorry, this shows how great America is. Mickey Mouse is just the vehicle and it’s being driven into a wall. That employee should be commended for using common sense and seeing that child needed a little extra care. But then again I’m happy I got my comment in before I see any, “how racist, look how the white girl got a hug from a character.”

  3. Chris

2006, we took a three generation trip to Disney world. My favorite interaction was when Mickey gave my grandma a kiss on the cheek.

  4. Judith Haney

The genuine and heartwarming interaction does not have anything to do with Disney, but everything to do with the person that was playing Mickey. It was hot outside, and much hotter inside of the Costume. The person playing Mickey is the one who deserves the credit, for the personal integrity.

    1. Gern Blanston

      Judith,

I am fairly certain that the culture created by Disney had a part in this. They were the ones that saw something in this Cast Member and hired her for this role.

That being said, the Cast Member saw an opportunity to make a huge difference in someone’s life and took it. Awesome job on their part.

    2. Brandon

You are crazy, she was a racist who just wanted to bypass bipoc kids to get to a whitey! <= Said every racist ever! Of course this person had some compassion to see this little girl needed a little extra attention. And with Temps being 100f+ across the USA and imagine the heat in that suit and having stinging sweat in your eyes, but naw the sesame street character that had a 1 inch hole to see out of was being racist… totally!

    3. These parks choose very special people to play these characters!!! My husband and I interact with the Looney Tunes characters at Six Flags parks all the time!!! We have actually formed lasting friendships with the cast members at our home park Six Flags Great America. These people introduced themselves to us, out of costume on their days off, when they recognized us from character meet and greets. We are still friends with many of them, to this very day.

  5. God Bless our Military, and the person playing Mickey Mouse!🇺🇸

    1. Nosecone

“God” allows politicians to indoctrinate our populace to believe that nation building is a good thing to sacrifice your children for.

  6. DonB

This is the magic that Disney has always been associated with. The smiles , warmth and laughter is what Walt envisioned when he first began to think about Disneyland then WDW.
Bob Chapek doesn’t get that and never will. He is determined to replace the magic with greed. And unfortunately, he’s succeeding .

    1. Cherie

As a former cast member and having other members of my family working for Disney this is a true inspiration. Cast members are aloud one magic moment to one person per day. This was Mickeys. As the company changed though the years, I feel it has lost that magic. I hope and pray this heart warming story brings an example to other cast members that when on stage it is not about them, the company, or even politics it’s about the experience they give to their guest. Way to go Mickey. Best wishes to the military family.

      1. Christian

Wow. Rules on “magic” …..aka, being able to have a human moment. Your honest response shows that even their empathy is calculated.

        1. S Nogg

If every cast member could bring extra magic to everyone they wanted to, the day would never end, and lines would be even longer. Too many people would miss out on the basic magic. Most CM with whom I’ve interacted bring magic by being kind, greeting all with a smile and a hello. It’s nice to have the magic be that everyone is that way. What I recall at the end of a visit are the 1 or 2 grumpy CM who stood out for their grumpiness because everyone else was so wonderful.. Then I forget them by remvering how great everyone else is. I hope that magical attitude remains despite “Chapstick’s” influence.

      2. Thank you for being a part of the magic. It truly is the cast member that brings the experience to the guests. Bravo to this Mickey for seeing that this child needed a little more and providing it to her.

      3. Erica C

I agree with you I as a guest/fan since 86′. When we took my boys the experience changed for me, seeing how characters interact was so special. Even for me seeing Tinkerbell come to life my youngest son whom is autistic who ONLY would touch Stitch. I then became a WDW travel consultant w/WDW during the time when the world crashed “COVID-19 2/2019″… We did 12 hr shifts helped customers, eased as much fears as we could. Until we got the world the park was shutting down. Mind you I even had a dream vow renewal in the park. So Im greatful for all memories I’ve had/made/and still will make. Disney, cast members, and military have always gone hand n hand. We as a people need to be kinder, stop one upping, being disrespectful seems to be the new norm; unfortunately.

    2. Leslie

Oh yes he is! We just got back and the magic is not like is was in the past. It is so sad that one person can change it. Bob Cheapskate has got to go!!

  7. Nicholas Cervenka

I love hearing stories like these. The people in these costumes know what they mean to children and have the opportunity to use them to make kids feel extra special when they need it. It’s beautiful really.

  8. Sari

Gender is a social construct using m*n and w***n should never be normalized anymore. Change society and end hate….

    1. Nikki

Stop trying to erase science and facts and replace it with hate and bigotry and stop forcing your gender acceptance on others and stop the name calling your feelings don’t cancel science sorry but there are only TWO GENDERS

      1. Mindy

Grow up and get over it. You’re not stopping this train. Acceptance by all is a trademark of Disney.

        1. Brandon

Apparently, we ARE derailing that train as Disney is headed towards bankruptcy. Lightyear failed, Marvel movies are bombing and their CEP is about to be fired. I expect a change incoming back to American values. The ONLY thing that will save Disney from bankruptcy is turning away from this woke craziness. Check their stock price, Marvel is bombing. Star Wars Bombed, their parks are bombing. No one will be talking about gender fluidity in ten years because it has no basis in science. Go take a trip over to the middle east, China, Russia, South America and see how much of the world is doing your more than two genders BS. Ugh, no one…

          1. Idontcare

That’s so cute that you think you’re changing the world from your trailer park on mommy’s computer. How many movies have you made that have grossed over a billion dollars in profits?

      2. Nosecone

Gender is a social construct. The ‘new’ way of thinking is just a more understanding way. I’m sure you like the old terms of ‘tomboy’ and ‘sissy’ better. You know, making people feel bad because they do not behave the way you think they should.

    2. Rose

Excuse you but I and a WOMAN! It is NORMAL to be either a man or woman nothing else. If you believe you’re something other than those two genders then you need to reeducate yourself in science cause anything other than those two genders is not normal, it’s mental

    3. michael kadid

      Your a goof ball!!

    4. Sorry to burst your bubble, but in the human species there are only TWO genders: Male and Female. GET OVER IT!!!

  9. Sake

    Trump: “I did this.”

    1. Biden: “I did this.”

  10. Linda

Just my personal opinion ! But I think every child deserves that special moment ..

  11. Krystina

My little ones first trip to Disney was far from magical until the end. I had paid a lot of money for breakfast with the characters, but none of them gave her more than a glance when I was trying to get a picture with them. The staff was rude and we were on our last visit, the ONLY fast pass character we were able to get to and it was Stitch. I took her out of her stroller and brought her over to meet stitch. This “character “ realized what not anyone else saw, that she was disabled and couldn’t walk. When the character handler told us time up, stitch brushed him off and continued to interact with this little girl. It made her day and made me almost forget how much money I spent to be so mad at how we were treated because she didn’t have her wheelchair but it was easier for me having her in a stroller.

  12. Yuzu21

I never cared for Disney, even as a child. I always preferred Looney Tunes. Disney was always so sickeningly sweet.
    Looney Tunes was funny.
That said It’s nice to see all the wokeness hasn’t destroyed all the fabled Disney magic yet.
I think if I saw how my career choice was affecting my family, I would find another job.
It really sickens me how much people and their families sacrifice for their country, yet when war shatters their minds and bodies, the government abandons them.

    1. Brandon

I agree 100%. Military families are affected just as much as the soldiers that give their lives. But the political elite has become fat on the pig of insider trading, 50 year political careers and sweetheart deals. Biden, no matter his political affiliation is a prime example. A half-century in politics and we’re surprised he’s a millionaire and his son, his brother and himself makes deals with China dropping off bags of money. We need term limits badly and to make partaking in the stock market illegal while part of congress. How do Republicans and democrats become millionaires while working in DC?! Insider trading that if any of us did we’d be in jail but is legal for them. Sadly our founders never expected a politician to become a “career”.

      1. Idontcare

This country was literally founded by career politicians. You’re a fine example of why we need a better education system.

        1. SpeekEZ

          That’s absolutely not true.

Most of the Founding Fathers either owned a business , or were independently wealthy.

Politicians didn’t make an actual livable salary until the very late 1800s.

Look up what the historical wage was, and you’ll find out the money politicians were paid to cover the costs of travel to do their jobs as politicians, because no one was a career politician, there was no such thing here, outside of the President and a few other positions. They either lived on a farm/plantation, or they owned a business that the vast majority of their time was spent at.

Only when they received a letter telling them their political body was having a meeting did they leave their everyday lives to travel to be a politician.

You are what’s wrong with our education, no one taught you that nonsense, but you decided it’s true and are spouting off and insulting people because YOU don’t know what you are talking about.

        2. SpeekEZ

      2. Nosecone

” Military families are affected just as much as the soldiers that give their lives. But the political elite has become fat on the pig of insider trading, 50 year political careers and sweetheart deals.” The military is mostly used to enforce the power of the political elite. Trading lives for power.

A week after my grandma died, l did a meet and greet with Mickey at DCA. I had him sign one of the life magazines l had of Mickey being on the cover. I told Mickey that my grandma grew up knowing him and that she loved to brag she was 6 yrs older than Mickey. After telling him this l totally lost and was crying. Mickey waved off cms and just have me the biggest hug for a few minutes. He then gave me kisses and told me to keep my memories alive of my grandma

Taking a knee? Sreriously?? How about kneeling down to embrace a child. Stop the flipping drama

  15. Odiebob

What a beautiful story ! Thank you Walt, for bringing such a wonderful place to this world where people can go and dream big for a short while. Way to go Mickey ! You’re the best. That family will never forget what you did for them ❤️

  16. B

This is sweet moment that Disney is trying to present. One problem they forget, that since 2020 lockdown up to now all the crap they have done to their employees and guest is hard to look pass. The fact that they take one kid who is hurting and spend time with her is nice don’t get me wrong, but about all the other toddlers who are hurting due to losing loved ones for any reason, losing their homes and stability. I am not a liberal or Democrat. In fact I hate the use of political parties when addressing facts and hardships. That is the best come back people got ever since 2008. The truth is a big this company with lots of money should be looking to help the community and their employees, and not their pockets. It is their employees and community that helps keep them running along with their guest. W/O any of us they would have nothing. Same for politics.

  17. Nosecone

“God” doesn’t like it when you kill, except when you are in a uniform apparently.

  18. This is an adorable moment that meant a lot to this little girl. It is good to see that there are still a few magical moments at Disney theme parks when all you hear about is the negative stuff in the news. This cast member heard about this little girl and was determined to make her meet n greet special. This is the way Disney is supposed to be…magical.

I can remember when every guest was treated like royalty by the cast members who always went the extra mile to show guests that they cared. Those days are gone at Disney theme parks so it’s nice to see just a glimmer of that magic still remains.

I hope this family submitted a compliment on the Disney website about the cast member as the compliments mean a lot to cast members who get tired of hearing nothing but complaints.

I wish Disney would have hug those little two black girls like that and gave them love!

  19. I wish Disney would have hug those two little black girls like that and gave them love! 👁️

Most of my childhood was spent without my dad since he left a month after I was born. The only time I saw him was as a toddler when he’d come to pick me up for a few days and then try to cause situations where I would die accidentally so he wouldnt have to pay child support. He never ever did pay child support and my mom stopped suing for it cause it cost lawyer money and he never paid anyway. I wonder if Mickey gives extra hugs for kids whose dad’s wish they were dead?

    1. That is just SICK!!! If MY Dad had done that to ME, I would have REFUSED to ever see him again!!! Then I would have disowned him, and upon turning of legal age changed my surname!!!
