I refuse to use a Magic Band of any kind and I no longer visit the parks so it works out for me. Magic Bands are just a way for Disney to gather more information about their guests that they would otherwise have to pay in order to obtain the same data. I don’t like a theme park experience that makes me depend on technology, between Magic Bands and the need for a cell phone with the Disney app, Disney has taken the spontaneity and fun out of visiting Disney theme parks.
Everything Disney does is cheap (in quality), expensive, gimmicky, and useless. They have no idea why wands are popular at Universal and think they can make a zero-effort cash grab along the same lines.
The sad part is they’re right. Too many clueless Disney Drones will pay, just like the ones paying for the outrageous food and $15 for a single ride.
MagicBand in theory is a good idea … but Disney needs to offer a Device that’s worth the price (I think it’s going to require more opinions from those who are using them vs those judging by videos and pictures).
I’m still with Team No App , because I want to visit a Theme Park to escape life vs stuck using a smartphone all day. So, using a MagicBand or smartphone, doesn’t appeal to me at all.
Has Disney lowered the quality of merchandise, but kept the prices higher? Yes! But don’t tell Disney Sheep that, they don’t care (they will baaah for anything Disney!)
I’m assuming most are boycotting Disney for political reasons and nothing more. They like to use the w word that rhymes with poke cause that’s what their favorite anchors on Fox use
