A caution to all, I have had the unfortunate experience of being in first aid when a child came in from having fallen while on a railing. They hit their head and ended up going to the hospital, needing several stitches. This was at DCA and the first aid staff were phenomenal with them, but it could have easily been prevented by simply following the rules.

I have also heard of someone carrying their child down Main Street at Disneyland on their shoulders and the kids head hitting a light on the Main Street Cinema, shattering the bulb which did enough damage to require stitches.

Remember while things like carrying a child on your shoulders may be safe enough at home, there are a lot of different things in the parks that can cause issues if you aren’t following the rules and who wants to end up having to go to first aid, perhaps in the hospital or worse because they didn’t follow the rules?

Don’t get me wrong I don’t have kids think God but when I go to theme parks are carnivals and see them climbing on fence and wall to rides and thinking oh my goodness if that falls over inside and that powerful ride is moving at full speed the kid is going get hurt are God forbidden killed all because the parents ain’t doing their job and I know if I say something to their kids they are going to get upset knowing it’s for the children’s safety. So now when I do go to theme parks and carnivals I don’t think about anybody I am on my cellphone reading about carnival rides while I’m in line waiting to get on a ride blocking the world around me.

I am a teacher, I have this problem all the time. Parents are not teaching their kids that they can not just do whatever they want.
