I’m just going to do what all other commenter do and blame it on wokeness. Clearly there is a woke anti-Harold agenda taking our beloved bobsleds away.
I wonder if they still have considerable structural issues to resolve there. I know because of the way it was originally build that fixing the track is not easy. And the end part of the ride that goes through water to slow it down has taken a toll on the ride. Perhaps if they figure out a way to resolve that then closures becomes less frequent with The Matterhorn. Indefinitely does just mean that, like Pirates, they leave the time open ended so they can resolve everything.
Maybe they need to tear out some trees.
That Matterhorn is not closing indefinitely, just down for scheduled maintenance and rehab (personally? I stopped riding it after the new sleds were introduced because the seating is murder on the lower back – so if Team Disney Anaheim would do us all a solid and put in more comfortable seating, even if that means new sleds!)
One less ride or attraction in operation and yet you pay 100% admission fee to get through the gates of Disneyland! 🙄
We finally went to Disneyland for the first time this summer. I am not a thrill seeker with roller coasters, but I have to admit, that I truly loved the bobsleds. I couldn’t get enough of it and went on numerous times. I hope it will close for some kind of refurbishment and not permanently. Since its an iconic ride. I would hate to think that I will never ride it again!
Tear it down and start over from the ground up. The track is horrible. The sleds uncomfortable. It is not a smooth ride. I skip this ride everytime I go to the park because it is so jarring.
They are just doing the NORMAL maintenance. It’s no big deal. Nothing to get upset over. With any luck they will make it a bit less uncomfortable to ride.
What’s really disgusting is that we who have visited Disneyland through the years are not even being told why the ride is closing! I’m trying to get my nieces and nephews who have not been to the park before this summer is over. Now the main ride is closing Why???!!! This is unfair!!!! Why is it closing???
I really hope that they keep not only the bob sleds but all of my favorite original rides that I grew up loving so much. It’s something that is magical and stays with you for life and that you want to share the experience with your children and see it though their eyes . I love some of the new thing’s that they have added but I think that they should keep it as close to the original as possible.💗🌸✨
I really hate these clickbate articles and even more annoying are the people who fall for the title and then jump right to the comments to complain without even reading the article itself. It clearly states it is ONLY BEING CLOSED TEMPORARILY more than likely for refurbishment. Everyone needs to Keep Calm and Read. 🙄
I feel like you need to research the word indefinitely. It will be closed TEMPORARILY for REFURBISHMENT at least through August 30th. This information is fully accessible through the Disneyland website.

They aren’t closing it or removing it, they are doing the normal refurbs. This ride leaves a lot to be desired, it’s so bumpy and cramped.

It’s an admission fee, not a pay per ride thing

Yeah, riding on the left side is a painful experience. We ask for the right. Less trauma.

Right before D23? Right before D23???

Oh no…it’s so iconic, don’t close, just upgrade if necessary

Hope they fix it and it returns cause there is only one Disneyland the one and only original place.

“Indefinitely” just means they haven’t stated the reopen date yet. It does not mean forever closed.
