I agree, new management. Disney is a mess right now. It appears that the daily limits are disregarded, so the parks get insanely crowded. People wait 45 minutes for food. People keep coming, so they make money, but it is a mess. Add in the Disney “wokeness”, and that might be a problem that dwarfs the park problem.
Walt Disney World is a mess right now. Long lines for food and the food portions shrunk in size and at higher prices. Agree that attraction lines are longer and it seems to be on purpose with the hopes of selling more Genie+ at $15 per person per day. Lightning Lane is $15 per attraction. That is crazy. I never saw attraction lines so bad when we had fastpass (ok, to be fair, some times there were longer than usual but for the most part, not). Grounds, attractions, restrooms, and trashcans are not kept up like in the past. I know there is a staffing issue. Possibly raising hourly wages would be an incentive instead of giving $20 million bonus to an inept CEO. I have gone to WDW since August 1972. I would say in the last five years not counting 2020 or 2021, quality, quantity and overall satisfaction has gone down. I really cannot remember another time that I have heard of so many guest altercations, fights, and general poor behavior. I know it stems from the times we are in, but I feel it is also not getting what you feel you should at the prices that are being charged.
We are starting to take shorter trips to Disney. We normally do 6-7 nights. Going for 3 or 4 nights now. Trying out value resorts again. I imagine value resorts are going to have a boom. I think Disney is going to have empty villas. Not many people can afford them. Bob Cheapskate should not have been put in power again and given a bonus. The shareholders let America down.
The comments and the story (I hesitate to call it an article) are just so factually incorrect.
Let’s start with blog post. You do not have to pay for Genie+ to make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase. The line for Flight of Passage was 3 hours. Guess what, that is short. From 2017-2020 the ride routinely had a 5 hour wait in the morning.
Then the comments state that the parks are over-crowded and lines are longer. Well, if the parks are so crowded, then the lines would be longer. More People, More People in Line. However…
The parks are not more crowded than capacity. Capacity has been lowered. Multiple people each day are turned away from parks because they did not make a reservation. So, that sure shoots down that premise.
But we have to bring up that wait times for rides are public knowledge and posted on line for years. Guess what for 2022, ride waittimes overall have dropped by 9 minutes on average. That is right, the wait times are less than last year, and that is with Lightning Lanes open. So another theory shot down by facts.
As for prices, as long as Demand exceeds the Supply, then prices to go to the parks must go up to achieve equilibrium. Basic economics. So the parks are underpriced. Raise them prices Bob!
I’m a local with annual passes for more years than I can remember. For the past 3 years I struggle with renewing or getting Universal passes. The only reason why I renew is because I don’t care about the rides anymore and the 15% discount to renew. Not only is this place a mess anymore it’s also sad how the happiest place on earth is absolutely not even close. If I didn’t live here and had to travel, take my kids and deal with this circus I would never come back. They need to bring back fast passes stat! They need to cap the amount of people in the parks. The reservation system isn’t working…clearly. Hey Disney!!! From a local, please get your crap together or trust me the word will get out for Universal. You will be left in the dust soon.
We actually decided to cancel our trip to the Halcyon and Polynesian based upon the blog reports and political stances that Disney decided to take. We used some of the money saved to visit several places in the Southwest instead. It makes me sad and irritated that this is going on

Straight from Bob's mouth
You’re a joke. Why do you bother writing this drivel? Do you think anyone takes you seriously?
Stay away
Disney is nothing but a woke SCAM.
