No I have not as I followed the rules as requested by the park. Maybe this man should have tried to find them out before he went? Most people do in this day and age of covid and open carry rules.
I was born with a bad hip and leg that requires me to use either a walker or a wheelchair just depending on how much it is bothering me, and for the most part I have been able to ignore people making some rude comments even though there are times when I just can’t take the comments. One time when I was going through security at Disneyland, one of the security guard had asked if there was any way that I could go through security without using my walker because I was holding up the line for people to get into the park, which is when I had replied “is there any way that you can walk without having your legs?”
Sounds like that security guard needs some further training on how to word his questions. I travel with my sister, who is in an ECV. She is often asked if she is able to walk through the scanner, but she has never been made to feel that it is for the convenience of other guests, only so she could avoid being wanded. She simply says, “no, she can’t” and they have been extremely polite and accommodating. Nothing helps develop empathy for the needs of others more than having some needs yourself or a travel companion needs.
I use a wheelchair when I go to WDW. Could you have walked just the short distance with out the walker?? Did you need to be rude to the security guard?? He just asked you a simple question. I think you are the rude one.
How would a walker hold up the line? It’s no different than an ECV, wheelchair, or stroller….they go up the middle of the ticket takers. I have been numerous times with my wheelchair and took multiple people that use a walker, they have NEVER asked them anything like that. I call BS.
Where’s everyone who usually says, figured it’d be this kind of such and such of a person causing trouble???? Funny when you can’t play the black race card, you disappear. You seem to be okay since this white guy is being escorted out, no hateful comments, no stimulus money comments, no “that kind” comments. Just trying to figure out how you can justify your hatefulness when it is a person of color, but when it comes to a self entitled white man, no one speaks up with hate filled nonsense. Hope this makes some of you think from now on.
If it was a black guy, we’d be hearing about racist security guards and an upcoming lawsuit involving the NAACP. More likely, we wouldn’t hear about it at all because Disney would let it slide or pay him off to keep it out of the news.
Have you noticed the only black people you hear about getting thrown out were arrested? There’s a reason.
3…. It was 3 Security Personnel. That is not “surrounded”. LOL, I have escorted people out of places and have had them surrounded by a security team (about 20 of us) and many others that could step in in case there was an issue with them on the way out. This was for a private event in California. But 3? LOL!

Nope. I seem to never be at Disneyland or California Adventure when people decide to act like idiots.

Excellent reply !!!! I’m also confined to a walker. I wonder what that guard says the same thing to people in wheelchairs.
