I had understood that body autonomy for employees at mega corporations was something they claimed to support. The current vaccine does at best a poor job preventing COVID infection or transmission of the current strains, I listened to Dr. Birx say so herself on NPR last week. Why is anyone required or compelled to get this out-of-date vaccine at all?
Fauci himself has been fully vaxxed and twice boosted and he just got reinfected and likely passed it on to others.
If it doesn’t work, why keep doing it? Why fire employees who assert their body autonomy?
I hope they all win. The vaccine (or lack thereof) never prevented anyone from getting or spreading the virus. It did seem to lessen the symptoms but that in no way is a reason to mandate it. It’s really funny that all the people who were totally on board forcing people to get the jab or lose their job are all the same people screaming about body autonomy now and “her body her choice”. Hypocrits.

If your employer requires you to be vaccinated against a virus that has thus far killed 1 million Americans, in the interest of healthy and safety guidelines, and you do not want to get vaccinated, you can go work somewhere else. Find an employer who does not have these requirements. Disney doesn’t even allow you to have facial hair, come on. This seems like a few looking for press.
But has it really killed 1 million Americans or have a good percentage of those been killed by unrelated causes and happened to have COVID at the time? I know too many people that have been killed by say being kicked in the head by a horse or were admitted to the hospital for other reasons and got COVID in the hospital or something where they happened to have COVID at the time of death and the cause of death listed on their death certificate is COVID when even the doctors said it wasn’t. So, I question the numbers and want the REAL statistics.
And NO ONE should have the right to tell anyone else that have to be vaccinated to do anything.
Actually, the “Disney Look” is all but gone. Tattoos are okay as long as they’re not offensive. Facial hair is okay now. Hairstyles and colors formerly considered unacceptable are now okay. You can even wear the costume of the other “gender” for your attraction. If I worked New Orleans Square, you’d better believe I would get the Haunted Mansion tuxedo that used to be worn only by men!

This being despite the fact that by aborting a child, you are literally murdering that child. Now I will grant there may be times where that is justified and maybe even necessary, but it is murder.
COVID Vaccine: “In order to remain employed, you have to have this vaccine.”
This despite the fact that there is evidence that there are dangers to the vaccine. Again, the vaccine has its place and I got vaccinated, but given that there are dangers, each person should be free to make a choice for themselves, no it shouldn’t be mandatory (neither should any vaccine for that matter).
So, it is “My Body, my choice” if a woman wants to flat out murder a baby, but it isn’t if someone doesn’t want to get vaccinated because of the very real dangers it presents?

The abortion thing, from how I understand it, has to do with the fact that, in society, you should not be forced to do things _by the government_ with your body, even if your actions otherwise result in a death, even the death of a child. If there is a child with some fatal kidney failure and you have the only functioning kidney that would work for that child, the government cannot force you to give the kid your kidney and cannot pursue you for ‘killing a child’ if said child dies from that.
Now, you might _want_ to help that child and might even feel as though you have an obligation to help as you, I imagine, are very sensitive to the needs and wants of those more vulnerable, but the important part is that no government, state or federal, mandates that you MUST give that child a kidney. Even if it was your child and they had kidney failure because of something you did, I don’t think you could be legally responsible for not giving up your body to them.
The vaccine mandate, if it were federally and governmentally required of everyone, would be that same idea, but it’s not. This is not the government telling you that you have to be vaccinated, this is a private company that has a large interaction with the public as a whole. Of course their motivations are selfish and money minded I imagine, many people from other countries likely would stop visiting Disneyland if they didn’t require this from their staff. (This brings up the question of whether or not private companies _should_ be able to make _any_ medical decisions regarding their staff, but at the moment it is allowed as far as I know, if not I suppose that’s what the law suit is about) regardless, you have an option here if you want to maintain your bodily autonomy in this case which is, find work elsewhere.
Just like it probably would not fly for you to be working as a Nun or smth and get an abortion and stay employed, so too can cast members not stay employed at Disney if they do not get vaccinated. But not getting vaccinated will not actually get you into trouble with the _law_ which is what people who advocate for ‘My Body My Choice’ are actually talking about and campaigning for.
I wish I could be a part of this. 18.5 years down the toilet because I refused to be mandated into some freaky shot I didn’t believe in. Before I got fired I retired so I wouldn’t loose my benefits. It’s really not the most magical place on Earth.

I work in the technical world of commercial aviation repairing and maintaining an anything and everything that a commercial aircraft requires. As do so many my coworkers and friends, many of them cleaners who spend the entire night cleaning filthy cabin interiors. Like what, you might be thinking? Do you really require of things passengers touch in an aircraft? Overhead air vents. (Gasper vents) Flight attendant call buttons. Reading light switches, seat recline buttons and tray tables. Overhead BINS, etc.
Whose been touching these aforementioned?
I work for American Airlines and, for instance, our 777s and 787s have been all over the world. A world STILL getting it’s butt kicked by Covid. A COUNTRY where Covid is know to have originated, AND NOW….you’ve climbed aboard one of filthy polluted aircraft on your way to…..say…..Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.
I have NOT forgotten where I’m going with my point but, I challenge you pin heads denying a vaccine THAT WORKS to look up how many American Airlines employees ALONE have died from Covid.
Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics, Cleaners, Customer service and Ramp Agents. ALL of these examples my coworkers and many of them, very close friends in my 32 years at American Airlines.
JUST considering my closet of coworker/ friends, I’ve lost 31.

Protecting myself, family, friends, coworkers, passengers and WDW guests has and continues to be my priority.
Those of you claiming that “some spirit in the sky” is prohibiting you from the responsibility of protecting yourself and those around you are playing a dangerous game with yourself, and those around you AND, you’ve forgotten, that “spirit in the sky” is watching!
With the mountain of evidence we have so far on the fact that the shots didn’t work and were tested only about 10% of the amount of time a vaccine typically is (the average amount of time for testing and trials for a drug is ten years, this shot was tested for a matter of months). I don’t even understand why anyone would still mandate this for their employees.
Listen I understand your concerns , but I want to tell you I have Asthma and wearing a mask made it more difficult to breathe. I care about making a difference so I chose to wear one. I work in health care and I had to prove I was vaccinated in order to keep my job. I figured what’s there to loose, I’m going to die someday from something.
There’s no ‘Christian’ exclusion from taking medicine that could and would save lives. That religious exemption is TOTAL BS! Shame on you for using God to avoid your human duty to protect your’fellow man/woman’. Dictators like to use God as an excuse for wars. Grow up!
