Just experienced this Wednesday July 27th at 7:30. Heck of a storm. Ankle deep water going from Magic Kingdom to Bay Lake Tower for a Villains event reservation. We just put on the ponchos and kept going. Sometimes you can wait it out, sometimes you just gotta go for it! Luckily, it drains away pretty quickly once the rain stops. This has happened to me every place I go in Florida. It is a Florida thing!

I was there on Wednesday 7/27 too. I was in Tomorrowland came off Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and the water was about over my ankles.

The reason why you don’t go to the parks in the summer you go September- February. No rain and not as hot sometimes even chilly

      1. Not everyone can go during those times – kids are in school and college – can’t lose 7 days for fun – no one is complaining just stating facts

I had this happen on a trip to Magic Kingdom in mid-September of 1995 and again in September of 1999. Both times, the water was hip-high (I’m 5’7”) in the area of Fantasyland between the carousel and the castle. So no, this is not a recent development.

      Jaynie,

      Um, no!

Unless you are very short. I mean, like very, very short.

You would have to be under one foot tall for that to be a reality.

If it is raining, there are NO FIREWORKS!!!

  4. That’s what you expect in Florida, also muggy type of weather. believe me it’s no California.
