Stop your complaining. My Disney Visa doesn’t get me admission to the parks, so why shouldn’t card holders get a discount when using their card? You didn’t pay for the discount, you paid for park admission. Your discount is a free perk. At least you can afford an annual pass. Stop being so butt hurt
Not completely true. There are two different Disney visa cards. One is free (that’s what I have) and the other you pay an annual fee (and you get a few extra perks).
For the Disney Visa Credit Card, you have to apply for it using your credit. So that’s a hit against your credit report. You have high interest rate you pay on purchases, there is a $49 annual fee you pay to have the card and you have use of the card as long as your account doesn’t get closed for any reason. You don’t get covered admission or even discounted admission into the parks for a year with it though, so you would still have to pay for admission when you wanted to go. If you have an annual pass, you more than likely live within a reasonable distance to Disney that you can go whenever you wanted. Most of us visa card holders probably don’t. One of the perks of the Disney Visa card is when you do want to vacation to Disney, if you book the vacation through Disney’s website, you get 6 months no interest. So for us non-Florida folks, we’re paying a lot to go on a Disney vacation vs annual pass holders in Florida who get resident rates and have the luxury of going to their own home vs having to stay on resort or in an Airbnb or other hotel. I feel the annual pass holder in this story is looking at the bigger picture. Most credit card companies that are associated to stores give these types of discounts as well.
I started with the free Disney Visa card and later moved to the $49 annual fee version. I use it for everything and the cash back bonus more than covers the annual fee. I also pay it off every month, so I never pay interest. While I use it like a debit card, it is NOT a debit card.
I agree wit T, I have the Visa, AP, and DVC and I don’t get discounts at the parks sometimes because not everywhere gives one. You just move on and deal with it. If it is that bad don’t go back.
This comment just shows how entitled some have become. The purpose of an AP is to get you in the park without having to buy individual tickets and is a definite deal if you use it enough. The purpose of a credit card enables you to purchase without cash and pay later. Both things give the holder a few additional perks which can entice someone to get one. They are separate products and one does not guarantee a better discount over the other.
I agree! Stop complaining! Everybody complaining non-stop! Also the AP discount on Merchandise is 20% while the Visa is only 10%. And stop complaining about the Starcruiser or the $5K drink – nobody is forcing you to purchase it! If you can’t afford it, email Motel 6 and ask them if they offer a cheaper intergalactic option! I personally wouldn’t spend that kind of money on something like that, but it is fun and exciting to know those options are there in case I hit the Lottery next week!
Is this person for real? Your AP is for the purposes of visiting the parks without having
To buy tickets. It saves a TON if you go often. And you’re complaining about Disney Visa cards getting a 10% dining discount? This is why we can’t have nice things. Now we’ll get that taken away 🤦🏾♀️🙄
Just boggles my mind how people complain about everything! I have an annual pass and a Disney Visa. I’m thrilled to have whatever discounts and perks they offer! Put a smile on your face, find your happy place and be appreciative they you can go to Disney! And keep your grumbling to yourself….social media shouldn’t be just for griping.

When it comes to discounts the Disney Vacation Club members are the ones getting robbed. They pay thousands yet get fewer discounts than both AP holders and Visa card members.
Some people are such big babies. Regardless you get a discount and you’re complaining. AP is obviously to go into the park!!! You’re paying to get in the park not to get discounts that just additional. Move on and stop complaining or get a damn card!!!!
Although I know you get discounts with your Disney Visa, you do pay quite a lot for the AP. A bigger discount when buying an AP would be nice. Not holding my breath though.
No, because that AP gives you a discount ON PARK ADMISSION.— just go a lot and you’ll break even. Years ago the break even was 11 days. The discount on food or items is an added bonus.
Wahhhh wahhhh wahhhh. My DVC discount is basically the same, and costs way more then his stupid annual pass. Maybe he shouldn’t get the discount (please know this is total sarcasm)
People love to complain. We always get the best treatment when using our Annual Passes for discounts & we also combine the purchase with our Disney Visa that gives you great returns on Disney points that accumulate quickly. I have some cheese to sell for these “whiners”
Chase has it so you can get a Disney theme on the debit card. And it literally looks almost exactly the same as a Disney Chase credit card. There is virtually no way for cast members to tell the difference because they both go through Visa and both say Chase. It’s going to have to be something that Disney and Chase have to figure out or provide better training. But I’m sure this is pretty low priority for everyone but this one person complaining.
Comments for Annual Passholder Claims Disney Visa Discount Is Unfair, Demands Change
Mickey
The ap holder making the comment is clearly dense if they think they are paying for a discount. The ap is for park entry, everything is just a bonus

It should also be noted that to get a Disney Visa you have to pay $49 a year for that privilege.

No. That for the debit Disney that gives you 2%back. The regular Disney visa has no membership fee.

It’s none of that AP holder’s business

Go get a Disney Visa card then and quit complaining!

I had the pass and the Visa card. AP gets you into the park. Wish they would stop the AP cards so peoole stop comolaining about everything.

When they limit how many people can get an AP then I think it’s only fair to let people with the Disney visa get a discount.
