When Disney first opened admission was free and they charged for individual rides. Personally I’m all for charging for individual rides because when I visit a theme park I cannot go on any roller coasters (due to health problems) or rides that spin. Especially in larger theme parks that is the bulk of the rides. I would gladly pay per ride to only have to pay for rides that I was able to ride.
If unlimited daily tickets remain as an option, then having pay per ride as another option is good. I mean, depending on the park, we may not be able to do all of the rides, so it may make sense for some to pay per ride and some to do unlimited.
Where I’m from, wildwood, nj…we have both and I thinks it a great solution….u can choice to pay per ride which is good 4 people like me who hate roller coasters n fast rides, or u can buy an unlimited wrist band
I love the new system. It works really well for me and my family because of the new system me and my family have been going to their at least twice a week
The new system is how should it be! When my daughter and grand daughter come to visit, why should I, grandpa, have to pay full price to access the Park when all I’m going to do is keep them company and take pictures?
Sounds like both would be good options. We’ve tried to go, but because of the shut down we were delayed. Now that we’re able to, they’ve changed the system. We’re riders so hopefully either option work out!

This is literally everywhere in parks with kids rides. At least in New York like Coney Island etc. There is nothing new in a ticket system.
